You Think I Won't Talk?-Chapter 690
’What??’ — Shocked by what she could mean, I stopped struggling against what had me trapped.
"Your playful noons at Jørgen’s garden. I would obviously take advantage of them... otherwise, how would I be able to enter the blood of that man’s home easily? His blood swore to defy me as he died. But a child’s innocence and your ignorance... how lovely it was, to make you attracted to a pretty little pebble which you would gift to the brother you so loved, Marianne."
"!?"
"Every little thing your hand-picked, I would curse it." — She smiled as if she could see the past fresh in my eyes. — "You were my gate to your siblings, Marianne. How does it feel to know you helped me ruin their lives? It must hurt your disgusting heart... HahHahahaHA!!"
Her words did hurt more than just my heart... my everything screamed inside denying these painful memories I now had. For I could tell this could be true even though I knew nothing would be earned from acknowledging this cruel fate.
"Does it hurt, Marianne?!" — This b*tch shouted entertained by my tears while I fought back her clutch again. — "Tell me! For only these tears won’t be enough to satisfy my wrath!!!"
’Kh!! F*cking witch!! I’M! I’M NoT goNnA lET—’
"Sister!!! Huff! Huff!!"
’?! Theressa!?’ — As I fought back ready to make a bet to get a punch in, I felt my force being sucked out the moment I saw her intrude into us.
Karina’s desire right now was clear to my eye... for she was enjoying my struggle... Theressa would certainly be used against me now that she was in her reach.
"! Cough! Ah... no...!"
"... Theressa." — Releasing me, Karina’s voice froze my blood. — "You arrive at a wonderful time... would you like to kill Marianne? You’ve been wanting this for a long time, right?" 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
’Kh... this is bad...’ — Out of strength my throat burned hurtfully. My sound as if unrepaired felt unnatural again. I wanted to stand and yet my legs failed. I wanted to yell at this witch yet my sound hurt... I wanted to glimpse at my little sister’s face and yet the tears clouded my sight not letting me find a clear glimpse of her. — ’She hasn’t... she hasn’t done anything so why am I like this from so little?! Theressa!! Get away from here!!’
"Lady Karina... what is the meaning of this?" — I heard Theressa ask as a step was taken with caution. — "What you are saying and my sister’s demeanour, do explain them to myself."
"... Didn’t you meet with Sverre?" — A silent second passed and then Karina’s sound transformed into an entertained one. — "Hahaha~ oh~! So he didn’t tell you everything~! What a horrible man he is. Unlucky you are Theressa~ HahahaHa!... Nonetheless, your task can still be done with... I will let you have fun while you’re at it."
’What are they talking about??... Did she meet the second prince?? W-why didn’t she tell me??’
The confusion and discomfort were kicking my body harder. Helpless I felt and I couldn’t understand why for a while...
"Now... go on... I will let you have that visage ruined by your own hands, Theressa."
’Hff... wh-what is happening...’ — Nauseous with heavy head I was forced to stand up by something I couldn’t find and for a second I managed to see Theressa’s severe face... staring directly at me. — ’... Theressa...’
Her golden eyes... felt safe to stare at... unlike the black blade in her hand.
As I recognised what was about to happen I suddenly understood this pathetic outcome on my behalf. Feeling as if I should laugh... although I couldn’t stand the fact. — ’I see... so I’m... too scared of what Karina has done.....’
"Marianne." — Theressa, pointing the dark blade to my cheek said. Moving fast to cut the weight holding me up. — "Run!!"
Her push woke me up only for a second along with my hard fall on the ground.
"Theo!! Hurry up!!" — I saw Vitor thrust a sword at Karina. Bursting out the door while she passively watched me being taken by my friends’ hands. — "My lady! I’m taking you out of here!"
Little time I had to even notice I was in Theodore’s hands running from the place, but just as quickly as it happened I heard a crushing sound, finding Vitor groaning after crashing against the wall after a great hit. Nevertheless, the worry for him could not compare as there was someone else on the ground.
"What a disappointment... she did just as I thought she would... I told him she wasn’t worth it."
While being taken away, my eye caught a glimpse of Theressa’s twisted arm, unconscious and humiliated by Karina’s foot that stomped on her small figure.
"Turn back." — I managed to murmur.
"Cannot, my lady!! Your sister requests, I cannot decline!!"
"Theodore!! Turn back!!! Theressa is—!"
"You must escape the palace!! If you don’t that woman won’t stop! Miss Theressa knew this would happen!!"
"But!! My— she’s my little sister—!" — Such despair... I never thought I would feel it for someone else...
She would certainly die. Vitor as well... anyone who remained back there at the hall I couldn’t see any longer would.
— Do as told child... —
"?!" — The echoes in my head resounded along my treasured bracelet. And in the speed Theodore carried me, I met a pair of ultramarine hues smiling with an elegant turn of long golden white strands. Followed by wings of small creatures, she watched me being taken, passively... too confidently.
— My dearest guardian spirit remained in this place after death. —
’The princess...’
The scene and the gentle voice calmed me down, somehow. Confidence in it being alright was doubted while I decided it was best not to turn back for some odd reason. Nonetheless... a wish needed to be complied with. For there was nothing that assured me that my instincts were right.
"Protect them! Please!! Be safe Jasmine!!!"
— Follow the hidden passage at the dining hall. The way out will be shown by my dearest friend. —
"Theo, take me to the dining hall."
"Pardon but... It is not time for gluttony my lady!"
"Tsk! It’s not that!! Just take me there, Theo!" — The stunning sensation of Jasmine’s voice mixed in my head that did not seem like her original’s was immediately put off by Theo’s unnecessary joke. I hit him out of raging embarrassment but at the very least I knew I should trust the guides probably given by the specks the divine had left myself to rely on. — ’Calla and Aenean... perhaps Jasmine is also...’
The queue of fairies following her made me warm inside to the gut feeling. — ’Please... please be safe... Theressa... everyone...’
