Chapter 1003: Transcendent Forces

TL: Etude

TL Note: Dark God Society changed to Dark God Palace.

“Ye Tian, I want you dead!”

Dao Ancestor Moon Seizer roared, his aura shattering the chaotic void across billions upon billions of miles.

But all he could do was roar in frustration; there was nothing else he could do.

If his true body descended into the battlefield ruins of the quasi-Dao Realm, the backlash alone would reduce his strength to that of a mere Dao Ancestor incarnation—perhaps even weaker. In that case, Ye Tian might slay him, turning him into a joke in the eyes of Chaos.

After all, no Dao Ancestor had ever been killed by a True Monarch in the history of Chaos. Even a severely injured, dying Dao Ancestor was beyond the ability of a True Monarch to slay. But under the suppressive power of the quasi-Dao Realm and the backlash from descending there, a Dao Ancestor would indeed be at their most vulnerable.

He did not want to become the butt of that kind of joke, so naturally, he wouldn’t act recklessly by entering the quasi-Dao Realm.

Moreover, even if Ye Tian didn’t kill him, there were plenty of other Dao Ancestors who wanted him dead.

Fights between Dao Ancestors rarely ended in death unless there was a significant difference in strength.

For instance, according to the classifications within the Divine Heaven Domain, Dao Ancestor Moon Seizer was a relatively weak First Heaven Dao Ancestor. Even the most powerful First Heaven Dao Ancestor wouldn’t be able to kill him, and even some Second Heaven Dao Ancestors could at most severely injure him. If he chose to flee, even they would have difficulty pursuing him to the end.

After all, Dao Ancestors possessed too many trump cards and life-saving methods.

Only a Third Heaven Dao Ancestor had the confidence to kill him outright, ensuring that he couldn’t escape.

Several more months passed.

Ye Tian tracked down the incarnation of Dao Ancestor Moon Dream. She was a female Dao Ancestor, but Ye Tian didn’t care in the slightest.

Regardless of gender, Ye Tian killed her incarnation with overwhelming strength.

A year later, Ye Tian found the incarnation of Dao Ancestor Wind Elder. Dao Ancestor Wind Elder had originally planned to go into hiding, but he couldn’t resist the allure of the constant stream of opportunities. Eventually, these opportunities drew him out, and Ye Tian caught him and killed him in one swift move.

With this, the four Dao Ancestor incarnations that had previously pursued Ye Tian had all fallen.

Ye Tian’s reputation soared, earning him the title of “Slayer of Dao Ancestor Incarnations.”

However, Ye Tian knew very well that the top-tier Dao Ancestors were currently busy exploring various opportunity-laden areas. They had no time to pay him any mind. If any one of those elite Dao Ancestor incarnations made a move, he knew he wouldn’t be able to escape.

Thus, after killing Dao Ancestor Wind Elder’s incarnation, Ye Tian decided to lay low and stopped drawing attention to himself.

As time went by, the ruins of the battlefield had been almost fully excavated. Numerous sects and powers, along with countless True Monarchs and Dao Ancestor incarnations, had scoured the area. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Ye Tian reaped endless rewards from these expeditions. He obtained numerous inheritances, Dao Artifacts, innate origin treasures, various cultivation techniques, and secret arts…

In the past, Dao Artifacts were exceedingly rare within Chaos, treasures that only the most powerful True Ancestors could possess. But now, even some True Monarchs had Dao Artifacts. Though they couldn’t yet use them effectively, they no longer viewed these artifacts as distant dreams.

One could say that Dao Artifacts had become relatively common.

Some powerful True Monarchs now possessed wealth surpassing that of poorer Dao Ancestors. The world had changed so quickly that even the Dao Ancestors couldn’t help but sigh.

Meanwhile, more and more Dao Ancestors awakened throughout Chaos and hurried to the quasi-Dao Realm, making the realm increasingly lively. New top-tier forces also joined the fray.

Previously, many distant elite forces in Chaos hadn’t cared about the birth of a new Dao Realm. But after hearing about the situation in the quasi-Dao Realm, they couldn’t help themselves and began to act.

For instance, one of the four transcendent forces: the Starhorn Beast Clan!

The Starhorn Beast Clan belonged to the chaos lifeform races. Its members were born as chaos lifeforms, naturally starting their cultivation journey at the Destiny Realm. With only minimal effort, they could advance to the True Spirit Realm and become True Monarchs.

Upon reaching adulthood, the members of the Starhorn Beast Clan could already attain the Grand Dao Realm and become True Ancestors! This was an unimaginable concept for other races, who had to spend countless years and effort, with only a handful of their most outstanding individuals ever hoping to reach the level of a True Ancestor. For example, within the Void Sky lineage, despite the countless disciples they nurtured, only a lucky few among their elites ever managed to become True Ancestors. Yet, the Starhorn Beast Clan produced True Ancestors simply upon reaching adulthood—this was the advantage of possessing an overwhelmingly powerful bloodline, marking them as one of the transcendent forces.

In terms of power, the Void Sky lineage could not compare to the Starhorn Beast Clan.

However, even with such overwhelming strength, the Starhorn Beast Clan couldn’t dominate all of Chaos due to their limited numbers. Furthermore, the various top-tier forces united to resist the four transcendent forces, preventing any one of them from monopolizing Chaos.

In the past, the four transcendent forces rarely intervened in the affairs of the outside world, content to live within their ancestral territories. Only a few individuals would venture out for experience and trials.

But this time, even the Starhorn Beast Clan had taken an interest in the quasi-Dao Realm and intended to participate.

If it had been any ordinary faction, the major powers wouldn’t have paid it any attention. But the Starhorn Beast Clan was simply too powerful, and no force dared obstruct them.

Outside the quasi-Dao Realm

One after another, colossal Starhorn Beasts treaded upon the chaos yuan qi, swiftly arriving at the edges of the quasi-Dao Realm.

This time, over a thousand Starhorn Beasts had come, and among them, six were at the Dao Ancestor level. Based on the power classifications of the Divine Heaven Domain, these six Starhorn Beasts weren’t ordinary Dao Ancestors—they were Third Heaven Dao Ancestors, existing on the same level as Dao Ancestor Void Sky.

The fact that the Starhorn Beast Clan could casually dispatch six Third Heaven Dao Ancestors showcased the profound depth of their power.

In addition to these six Third Heaven Dao Ancestors, dozens of True Ancestors accompanied them, with the remaining members all at the level of True Monarchs.

“This is the newly-born quasi-Dao Realm? I’ve heard that countless True Monarchs from across Chaos have already entered it!” one Starhorn Beast, a True Monarch at the peak of his realm, remarked as he gazed at the quasi-Dao Realm.

This True Monarch was a descendant of a Starhorn Beast Dao Ancestor, and not just any descendant—he was of the royal bloodline, far more noble than the average Starhorn Beast. Known as Tuo Long, he was a prodigy with the potential to become a Dao Ancestor.

“Your Highness, it’s said that this quasi-Dao Realm contains numerous ruins, apparently remnants of the Domain Realm. Even the Dao Ancestor incarnations have entered the fray!” another True Monarch transmitted telepathically.

“Hmph! It doesn’t matter what kind of ruins there are. Now that our Starhorn Beast Clan has arrived, the treasures inside belong to us!” Tuo Long declared arrogantly.

“Do not underestimate the geniuses from other forces,” warned one of the Starhorn Clan’s Third Heaven Dao Ancestors. “Some of them have strength on par with yours.”

Though Tuo Long showed little regard for the talents of other factions, and even less for ordinary Dao Ancestors, he held great respect for the Dao Ancestors of his own clan. Naturally, he didn’t dare argue and immediately nodded in acknowledgment.

“Yes, Grand Ancestor Luo Hai!”

Within the Starhorn Beast Clan, “Grand Ancestor” was the title used to address Dao Ancestors. Though Luo Hai was not a direct ancestor of Tuo Long, he was nonetheless one of the high-ranking figures within the clan.

Suddenly.

The chaotic void rippled, and another group of figures approached.

Upon seeing these newcomers, Tuo Long’s expression shifted, and the six Third Heaven Dao Ancestors of the Starhorn Beast Clan grew visibly solemn.
