In the conference room.

Ye Tian convened with numerous True Ancestors of the Void Sky Hall to deliberate on various matters, including how best to cultivate and nurture talents.

The Void Sky lineage now held the position of the fifth transcendent force, with abundant inheritances and a solid foundation for fostering talents. Additionally, they controlled several True Nations, ensuring a steady flow of young prodigies.

However, other forces still managed to secretly lure away many talents, causing no small amount of frustration for the Void Sky Hall.

Unless they completely sealed off the True Nation, they couldn’t prevent this from happening.

Fortunately, these forces could only recruit talents covertly and in limited numbers, so the overall impact remained minor.

As long as the Void Sky lineage continued to produce more powerful figures, more talents would inevitably choose them, rendering other forces’ temptations ineffective.

However, Ye Tian wasn’t the one leading this particular meeting.

Though his strength was impressive, he had only recently advanced to True Ancestor. The Void Sky lineage had also attracted numerous ancient True Ancestors who had descended from Chaos, several of whom were particularly formidable.

Among these ancient True Ancestors, five stood as top-tier True Ancestors, possessing power on par with the five True Ancestors of the Divine Heaven Domain, capable of barely withstanding attacks from pseudo-Dao Ancestors—a testament to their might.

Each had once attempted the Dao Ancestor realm but failed, rendering them unable to use Harmony treasures to make another attempt. Instead, they had entered the Profound Void Ancient Realm in search of breakthroughs.

The strongest of these True Ancestors was True Ancestor Sheyue, who excelled in archery and had once intimidated countless powerhouses within Chaos with his unparalleled mastery of archery Dao techniques.

And now, it was True Ancestor Sheyue who presided over this meeting. Ye Tian, too, with his considerable strength, counted among the higher ranks present.

“True Ancestor Sheyue, we’ve received word from the Void Sky Realm that someone from the Dark God Palace has infiltrated the Profound Void Ancient Realm!” A True Ancestor, responsible for intelligence, spoke up.

“The Dark God Palace dares to send people into the Profound Void Ancient Realm? How bold—they still have the nerve to meddle now?” Sheyue frowned.

“Could there be some hidden scheme at play?” someone speculated.

“Everyone, remain vigilant and conduct a thorough investigation! Although the Dark God Palace is nowhere near our Void Sky lineage, they’re not weak at the True Ancestor level, so we need to be cautious!” Sheyue reminded them.

“Yes!” The True Ancestors all answered in unison.

After the meeting adjourned, Ye Tian departed.

Before long, troubling news arrived.

Three True Ancestors from the Void Sky Hall had been assassinated. Each of these True Ancestors had reached the late Grand Dao Realm stage, ranking as elite True Ancestors within that realm and acting as core strength for the Void Sky Hall.

Now, however, all three had been slain without even a chance for rescue.

This confirmed that their assassin was undoubtedly a top-tier True Ancestor. Such figures rarely took action—only in major conflicts between forces.

“Who violated the rules?” True Ancestor Sheyue seethed when he learned of the attack.

This was an open declaration of war against the Void Sky lineage! In the days that followed, more True Ancestors from the Void Sky Hall continued to fall, mostly outside the True Nation.

Since the Void Sky Hall’s True Ancestors couldn’t remain confined within the True Nation forever and would occasionally venture out to seek fortune, many True Ancestors began returning to the True Nation, refraining from further risky explorations.

At the Glazed Glass Sect.

True Ancestor Xuangang and True Ancestor Fire Cloud were discussing the recent assassinations of Void Sky Hall’s True Ancestors.

“True Ancestor Fire Cloud, I’ve already sent three True Ancestors to assassinate the Void Sky lineage’s True Ancestors. We’ve managed to kill at least several dozen True Ancestors, including a few elite ones nearly at the top-tier level.

Our investigations indicate that some of their top-tier True Ancestors have recently attempted to break through to the Dao Ancestor realm, resulting in a shortage of top-tier True Ancestors. Currently, it seems there are only three top-tier True Ancestors stationed within the Void Sky Nation, making it weak and susceptible to further assassinations!” True Ancestor Xuangang explained.

“Thank you, True Ancestor Xuangang!” True Ancestor Fire Cloud replied with a pleased smile. “However, the Void Sky lineage still has many True Ancestors. Killing just a few dozen is barely a dent. Should we consider declaring full-scale war on the Void Sky Nation?”

“No!” Xuangang immediately rejected the idea. “We can’t engage in an all-out war. Doing so would inflict heavy losses on the Glazed Glass Sect, and who knows if other forces would take this opportunity to attack us. It’s too risky. We’ll stick to assassinations, gradually wearing them down until they collapse!”

“Then let’s proceed with this plan for now.” True Ancestor Fire Cloud felt a bit disappointed. He was eager for the Glazed Glass Sect to launch a full-scale war against the Void Sky Nation, but he knew this was unlikely. The Glazed Glass Sect wasn’t willing to take the risk, and he couldn’t sway True Ancestor Xuangang’s opinion.

Suddenly.

True Ancestor Fire Cloud thought of something and quickly said, “True Ancestor Xuangang, the True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws from the Void Sky Nation is a personal disciple of the Dao Ancestor of the Void Sky, and he has obtained three records from the Profound Void Ancient Realm. He’s regarded as the Strongest Newly Ascended True Ancestor. If he’s allowed to grow, he’ll become a significant threat to our Glazed Glass Sect. We must eliminate him as soon as possible!”

True Ancestor Fire Cloud harbored intense resentment toward Ye Tian. It was Ye Tian, after all, who led a large force of Half-Step True Ancestors to breach the Dark God Nation. True Ancestor Fire Cloud longed for Ye Tian’s death.

After hearing Fire Cloud’s words, True Ancestor Xuangang contemplated for a moment before nodding, “That Ye Tian, True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws… Indeed, he’s a tremendous threat. If a genius like him were to mature, he would surely endanger our Glazed Glass Sect. However, he’s currently within the Void Sky Nation, so assassinating him would come at a high cost.

“Is there any way to lure him out of the Void Sky Nation? If we can, I’ll dispatch three top-tier True Ancestors to ambush him. Killing a newly ascended True Ancestor would be an easy feat!”

“Lure out the True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws, Ye Tian…” True Ancestor Fire Cloud fell into deep thought.

After some time, he proposed a plan. “True Ancestor Xuangang, not only is the True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws a True Ancestor of the Void Sky Hall, but he’s also regarded as the leader of the Human Race. It seems he holds the Human Race in high regard… Currently, the Human Race’s population is substantial, and many talents among them are exploring the Profound Void Ancient Realm. We could capture a large number of these human prodigies; this should draw the True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws out.

“Of course, if he doesn’t show up, we lose nothing.”

“This plan could work!” True Ancestor Xuangang nodded approvingly and decided to adopt True Ancestor Fire Cloud’s suggestion.

A month later.

The Human Race’s leadership wore grim expressions. Recently, many of their powerhouses and young talents had gone missing. Evidence suggested these individuals hadn’t fallen in battle but had been captured.

This enraged the Human Race. The Human Race had grown strong, emerging as the largest group among the indigenous races of the Profound Void Ancient Realm. Besides Ye Tian, the True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws, they had several True Ancestors and numerous Half-Step True Ancestors.

Now, several of their Heavenly Monarchs, True Monarchs, and even some Half-Step True Ancestors had disappeared. The captor was undoubtedly a powerful True Ancestor-level entity.

Thus, several True Ancestors of the Human Race gathered to discuss the matter.

While this incident concerned the Human Race, it wasn’t yet an existential threat to the Void Sky Nation. As such, they hesitated to request aid from other True Ancestors within the Void Sky Nation.

As time passed, the Human Race struggled to uncover the perpetrator behind the abductions.

“Let’s invite the True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws to investigate!” One True Ancestor suggested.

The others nodded and informed Ye Tian of the situation.

Though Ye Tian seldom intervened in Human Race affairs, he couldn’t ignore a crisis of this magnitude.

At the Human Race’s Sacred Hall

Ye Tian sat on the high seat, surrounded by several True Ancestors and numerous Half-Step True Ancestors as the meeting began.

“Any leads?” Ye Tian asked.

“None at all! We only know the opponent is likely a True Ancestor and possesses treasures that conceal their aura and whereabouts,” responded True Ancestor Shanling, a rising star among the Human Race.

“No leads!”

“No leads!”

One by one, the Human Race leaders voiced their frustration.

Suddenly, a Half-Step True Ancestor spoke up, “True Ancestor of Ten Thousand Laws, one of my descendants has also gone missing. However, he carries a unique sensing treasure, and I can faintly detect his direction. But to pinpoint his exact location, I would need to get closer.”

“Are you certain?” Ye Tian asked, visibly stirred.

“Absolutely,” the Half-Step True Ancestor affirmed.

Ye Tian then learned more about this Half-Step True Ancestor. The man, named Yao Yu, was a carefully nurtured genius of the Human Race and a disciple of a major sect, making it highly unlikely he would betray the race.

Ye Tian also used his Copy Talent to examine Yao Yu’s abilities, confirming that he wasn’t disguised. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

With this reassurance, Ye Tian set off with Yao Yu, following the faint resonance of the sensing treasure to track down the enemy.
