“The Nine Nether Forbidden Pool!”

Ouyang Jiu’er paused for a moment upon hearing this name, then nodded. “I’ve heard of it, but I’ve never seen the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool myself, because it disappeared ages ago.”

“What’s its purpose?” Ye Tian asked.

“This thing has tremendous value!” Ouyang Jiu’er replied. “It’s said that in an ancient era of the Vast Sea Domain—though it wasn’t called that at the time; I don’t know what it was called—a sect conducted research into the power of Dark Forbidden Techniques. Incredibly, they managed to merge a terrifyingly violent forbidden dark force with other powers and added rare materials to create the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool.

In that era, that sect trained a massive number of Pinnacle True Ancestors and even Invincible True Ancestors.

It can rapidly temper a True Ancestor’s body and enhance their True Ancestral Force. Cultivating within the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool enables rapid advancement, comparable to the effects of cultivation within the Imperial Essence Realm.

The key is that cultivation within the Forbidden Pool allows for time acceleration, making it the most effective training resource in the domain!”

“The Nine Nether Forbidden Pool is that powerful?” Ye Tian was amazed.

For any power, such a resource would be a supreme treasure!

“Why are you suddenly asking about the Forbidden Pool? Could it be that you entered the ruins and saw it there?” Ouyang Jiu’er asked, her tone filled with excitement.

Her own progress had slowed down recently, and she had no idea how long it would take her to reach the levels of a Pinnacle True Ancestor or an Invincible True Ancestor. If she could enter the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool, she’d be able to increase her power quickly.

“Yes, I entered the ruins and also saw the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool. Moreover, it seems that the people from the Purple Mist Sect are working on breaking the seal surrounding it.” Ye Tian explained the situation as he knew it.

Upon hearing this, Ouyang Jiu’er was taken aback.

From Ye Tian’s account, he had not only entered the ruins but also managed to avoid clashing with the people from the Purple Mist Sect. How did he manage that? Could Ye Tian actually be a member of the Purple Mist Sect? But that couldn’t be right—she knew well that the Purple Mist Sect had set up a detection formation; sneaking into the ruins should have been impossible.

Or perhaps he had taken control of a True Ancestor and used them to get inside. But then again, a controlled True Ancestor would show abnormal mental fluctuations and would be detected.

Without speculating further, Ouyang Jiu’er immediately said, “Big Brother Ye, we have to get our hands on the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool!”

“Just the two of us? The Purple Mist Sect has quite a few Pinnacle True Ancestors, and if they have any hidden Invincible True Ancestors, we might not even get a chance to escape.” Ye Tian sighed.

He was merely an ordinary Invincible True Ancestor. While he could handle six or seven Pinnacle True Ancestors, if he faced an overwhelming number of elite and top-tier True Ancestors, things would become dangerously difficult.

Taking on the entire Purple Mist Sect alone would be suicidal.

“Jiu’er, do you have any ideas?” he asked.

“If you need me to break the seals, I can do it quickly. But if you’re asking me to fight, that’s beyond me,” Ouyang Jiu’er replied.

“This is….” Ye Tian felt a bit helpless.

He’d been able to enter the ruins by copying the body of True Ancestor Lei Ao, but if Ouyang Jiu’er entered, she’d be surrounded and killed instantly.

As for Ouyang Jiu’er’s Shadowless Divine Step, it would be ineffective near True Ancestors. Otherwise, she’d be discovered.

And without getting close to the seals, there was no way to study or break them, making her Shadowless Divine Step useless within the core of the ruins, where they couldn’t escape the watchful eyes of the Purple Mist Sect’s True Ancestors. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

They were at a dead end, and for a while, both fell silent.

Meanwhile, outside.

Ye Tian was still dealing with True Ancestor Yellow Light and prepared to leave. If he delayed any longer, True Ancestor Yellow Light might notice something was amiss.

Should he stay, or should he go? Ye Tian pondered this question.

“Let’s go. With so many True Ancestors from the Purple Mist Sect here, even if Jiu’er and I managed to break the seal, we wouldn’t be able to cultivate in peace inside the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool,” he thought to himself.

And so, Ye Tian left the ruins. Neither True Ancestor Yellow Light nor the other True Ancestors had any suspicions or bothered to verify anything.

To Ye Tian, this was excellent news! Back in the Human Tribe’s territory.

Ye Tian came up with a plan.

“Jiu’er, I’m thinking of informing General Bloodfiend of Blackwind Mountain about the ruins. With Blackwind Mountain’s strength, they should be able to take over the ruins. When the time comes, I’ll talk to General Bloodfiend to get you a chance to go in and cultivate as well. What do you think?”

“Alright, that’s probably our best option!” Ouyang Jiu’er sighed helplessly.

Her ideal plan was to seize full control of the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool, allowing her to cultivate there for countless years, continuously refining her True Ancestral Force to reach the Grand Dao’s peak.

But with only her and Ye Tian, there was no way they could shake the vast force of the Purple Mist Sect.

After finalizing their plan, Ye Tian used the Blackwind Domain Technique to enter the Wind King’s small domain, where he contacted General Bloodfiend to relay the information.

In a shared space within the Wind King’s small domain, Ye Tian met with General Bloodfiend.

“General Nine Limits, what brings you here?” General Bloodfiend asked.

“Have you ever heard of the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool, General Bloodfiend?” Ye Tian asked.

“I have. Does General Nine Limits have information on the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool?” General Bloodfiend asked, visibly surprised.

“Yes!” Ye Tian nodded. “There’s only one place where the Forbidden Pool exists, and the Purple Mist Sect has already found it. This location is a branch of a Ninth Heaven sect from an ancient era, and the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool lies within.”

“But the Purple Mist Sect is still breaking through the seals, so it may take them some time.”

“Is this information reliable?” General Bloodfiend inquired.

Without confirmation, he wouldn’t make a move. If the information was wrong, the consequences would be serious.

“It’s a hundred percent reliable. I even infiltrated the ruins myself using special means, but I can’t fight the Purple Mist Sect on my own. That’s why I’m requesting Blackwind Mountain’s assistance,” Ye Tian explained.

“If the information is accurate, Blackwind Mountain will definitely act. Just a sect like the Purple Mist Sect, daring to possess the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool?” General Bloodfiend laughed.

At that moment, Ye Tian added, “The detailed information was given to me by a friend. If we successfully secure the Forbidden Pool, could my friend be allowed some time to cultivate there?”

“Of course. You’re a General yourself; you can make that decision without needing my permission,” General Bloodfiend replied.

Blackwind Mountain didn’t take immediate action but instead sent scouts to verify the information. Although they couldn’t confirm everything about the Nine Nether Forbidden Pool, the other details checked out, and the existence of the ancient ruins was entirely accurate.

In truth, the ruins alone were enough to motivate Blackwind Mountain to take action.

Thus, on that day, General Bloodfiend assembled a large number of True Ancestors in preparation to raid the ancient ruins.

Storm clouds gathered as an impending conflict loomed.

Outside the space where the ancient ruins lay, a substantial contingent of True Ancestors from the Heavenly Spirit Sect patrolled continuously, guarding the area under the watch of the Purple Mist Sect’s True Ancestors.

Some True Ancestors grumbled quietly, but the Heavenly Spirit Sect was a force fostered by the Purple Mist Sect, so they dared not disobey.

Moreover, many of the Heavenly Spirit Sect’s Dao Ancestors were, in fact, elders of the Purple Mist Sect—a closely guarded secret known to few powers. This was why the Heavenly Spirit Sect obeyed the Purple Mist Sect’s commands so faithfully.

At that moment, True Ancestor Golden Toad, one of the Heavenly Spirit Sect’s top-tier True Ancestors, was on guard, his spiritual senses scanning the surrounding region vigilantly.

Suddenly, his expression changed as he sensed an unusual presence, as if a tremendous terror were descending.

Crack!

The void split open, and a large number of masked True Ancestors appeared.

“Damn it! It’s Blackwind Mountain!” True Ancestor Golden Toad cried in alarm.

True Ancestors from Blackwind Mountain rarely revealed themselves, and even when they did, it was seldom under Blackwind Mountain’s name, often assuming other identities instead.

But now, with so many masked True Ancestors appearing, it could only mean a coordinated assault from Blackwind Mountain. This was clearly a raid! There was no way he believed they’d come here for leisure; they had to be targeting the ancient ruins.

“Requesting reinforcements! Requesting reinforcements!” True Ancestor Golden Toad urgently sent messages to the other True Ancestors of the Heavenly Spirit Sect and Purple Mist Sect.
