Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower-Chapter 55: Angelina
Chapter 55: Chapter 55: Angelina
Ivy rushed toward the bedroom first, her boots tapping sharply against the tiles. The moment she stepped inside, more packets shimmered into solid form on the counter and floor.
Her eyes gleamed.
Teff flour, 180g? Picked.
Sorghum flour, 260g? Picked.
Quinoa flour, 200g? Picked.
Green banana flour, 150g? Picked.
Chestnut flour, 120g? Picked.
Arrowroot flour, 170g? Picked.
Water chestnut flour, 190g? Picked.
Sunflower seed flour, 210g? Picked.
"Store it! Multiply later!" she whispered again and again like a prayer.
She didn’t stop. Ivy ducked under the study table and snatched a nearly hidden pea flour, 200g tucked behind a stool leg.
"Don’t run out of time. Don’t run out of time," she muttered under her breath.
More supplies had landed right near the bed.
Lentil flour, 270g? Picked.
Acorn flour, 100g? Picked.
Hazelnut flour, 230g? Picked.
Soy flour, 310g? Picked.
Sweet potato flour, 290g? Picked.
Wheat germ flour, 200g? Picked.
Pumpkin seed flour, 240g? Picked.
Black bean flour, 250g? Picked.
The packets shimmered and vanished one by one into her upgraded storage.
Suddenly, all the supplies glowed, and Ivy watched helplessly as the remaining packages dissolved into thin air, as if they’d never been there.
Ivy heaved a sigh of relief. She estimated that she had collected just enough to help her survive for a long while.
Especially if she multiplies the supplies...
As Ivy sat down, she turned to her side and was stunned to see that Patrick was staring in her direction with a shocked expression.
Ivy closed her eyes and muttered under her breath,
"Stupid Ivy."
With that, she stood up, opened the main door, and took out a knife from her space.
She had confidence that no one would barge in.
But before she could take action, zombies started to rush in. Ivy paused before calmly putting her knife away and sitting on the sofa far away.
Till now, many zombies had already invaded the building, but due to Ivy’s presence, not once did any of them rush in.
But now?
Ivy entered her temporal storage, and the zombies who had only reached the hallways of the apartment and were about to leave, hesitated before entering the room.
Seeing human meat, the zombies were excited and started to munch on Patrick.
The scene was so gory that anyone would have fainted.
By the time Ivy came out, Patrick was reduced to just flesh and blood. For some reason, the zombies didn’t eat up Patrick completely; they only focused on his stomach area and thighs.
Patrick had turned into a zombie.
Ivy remembered how, during the apocalypse, some of the superhumans could control zombies and smiled.
As long as Patrick ends up in that group’s hands, he might even be reduced to an experimental tool.
No humans can understand zombies.
Even after a decade, no way had been found to communicate with zombies.
Yet... not wanting to take a chance, Ivy slashed Patrick’s neck. His neck rolled to the other side, making Ivy relieved that no humans knew about her secret.
She had already stored all the supplies in his cellar and hence didn’t stay there and left.
Standing in front of the Ravencroft family, Ivy rang the doorbell.
The zombies were still roaming around on the floor, but didn’t even glance in Ivy’s direction.
It was as if she didn’t even exist.
Soon, the door was opened by Isla, who tried to peek at who the other party was, but before she could get to know, Ivy kicked on the door hard, causing Isla to stumble back.
In a swift motion, she entered the apartment and closed the door.
Isla stared at Ivy with slight fear and rage,
"What the f*ck, Ivy! Where are your f*cking manners? Is this the way you should act toward your younger sister?"
Ivy chuckled and leaned on the door,
"If I didn’t know better, I would have mistaken you for Seraphina. Blood indeed is thicker than water, just look how closely you resemble Seraphina."
Isla gritted her teeth and opened her mouth to retort, but knowing she was in a dangerous position, she shut it back and hurriedly raced toward her room.
As if she had practiced it 1000 times, Isla shut the door.
Ivy wasn’t in a hurry at all. She made her way to the vase and took out the mini camera.
During her university years, Ivy’s friends had given it to her in the hopes that she could record the Ravencroft family’s misdeeds and submit it to the police.
However, the Ivy of previous life never used it.
Now it came in handy.
The camera was of palm size, one of the reasons why Ivy never dared to install it openly.
This time, though, the Ravencroft family was so shocked by Ivy’s change that they weren’t careful about their surroundings at all.
Ivy entered her room and tried to check the recording, but she came to realize that the camera was out of battery.
Taking a deep breath, she put it on charge and lay on her bed. Sleep consumed her, and Ivy only woke up the next day.
Even though the Ravecroft family had tried their best to keep their voice down, Ivy’s senses had sharpened slightly after awakening her superpower.
"Oh, in-laws! We are honoured to have you in our house. We can’t explain to you how grateful we are that you are ready to marry your daughter to our son." Seraphina’s deliberately sweetened voice grated on Ivy’s nerves.
Just how can someone be so fake?
"It’s alright. It’s our daughter Angelina who kept on insisting that she wants to marry Damian." A slightly aged masculine voice echoed in the living room, and Ivy’s eyes turned cold.
"You flatter us, in-laws! Damian, go and spend some time with Angelina. Show her around while we talk about adult matters." Seraphina hinted.
’Oh? Angelina is here too?’ Ivy thought in her heart. ’Isn’t it a good time to check whether Angelina is reborn too or not?’
