Chapter 11: Five Years Later...

In a vast open plain, a small boy rode a magnificent blue horse as it steadily picked up pace.

"Haha, come on Asta! Now fly!" Caelum called out.

Though he was five, he looked closer to seven.

The horse snorted at his command.

Its dense blue fur shimmered as mana radiated outward, and in the next moment, it lifted gracefully into the air.

The strange part was that despite the blue sky stretching endlessly overhead, there was no sun.

"Hahaha!"

Caelum laughed, feeling deeply satisfied.

Five years had passed since he was born into this world, and in that time he had learned a great deal and experienced even more.

The first thing he had come to understand was that his father was a genuine big shot.

Though the title was only that of a Count, Seth Annum controlled territory on the scale of a Dukedom.

Even the space Caelum was currently riding through was a hidden place accessible directly from the Shining Moon Palace.

And it wasn’t just his father.

He himself was OP.

Able to manifest Aura at the level of an Expert, skipping two entire stages, that too at birth!

’My Aura is too strong for my age,’ he thought smugly as the wind rushed across his face.

But then his expression shifted.

This world had magic, swords, knights, gods, demons, and far more than he had yet to uncover.

Yet the system he had received from that chibi figure, a system that had apparently rewritten the World System itself, was a Cultivation System.

The genre was just too different.

He mentally summoned it.

A black-and-gold screen materialized in his vision, distinct from the standard blue-colored World System he had read about in books.

By now, he had confirmed one thing.

The Boundless Warrior Physique was not something the system had given him.

It was something he had been born with and when he had clicked on it for a description, the system had decided to be helpful in its own particular way.

——————

Physique: Boundless Warrior Physique

Really???

This system did not give host this physique, so please don’t ask the system for a description. Go explore the world and make Earthlings proud!

——————

Caelum’s expression soured as he read it again for what was certainly not the first time.

’Should I just ask my father...?’ The thought lingered before he immediately considered the consequences.

He would have to act cute and obedient.

He shuddered at the thought.

This was exactly how he had obtained Asta, his Divine Mystical Horse, after spotting an image of one in the library.

From that day forward, however, his access to large sections of the library had been quietly restricted by his uncle.

His father was Count in name only. The actual affairs of Annum County were managed entirely by Roger Annum.

And for some reason Caelum had never quite figured out, every time he called the man uncle, Roger Annum made a very strange expression.

Caelum dismissed it and turned his attention back to his status screen.

Enhances comprehension and grants the ability to sense the natural flow of energy, intent, and laws within the surroundings.

At higher mastery, the boundary between what is visible and what is hidden begins to dissolve.

Mastery: ★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ (1 / 9 Stars)

——————

This had been a surprise to him.

His eyes had not developed randomly.

Very much like his reincarnation, they were the work of a certain mysterious figure who had apparently decided to be generous without asking whether Caelum wanted generosity.

And then there were the things he had never agreed to at all.

Namely, a fully comprehensive Cultivation Technique — [Myriad Heavenly Ascension].

——————

Cultivation Technique: Myriad Heavenly Ascension

A new technique created by ??? specifically designed to accommodate cultivation within this world, with the Host in mind. Unlike conventional techniques, it accounts for both the Magic System and the Aura Cultivation Path simultaneously.

This technique harmonizes Magic and Aura cultivation paths, allowing simultaneous refinement of body, mind, and soul like that of a True Cultivator.

Master all three, and the path forward becomes something the world has no existing name for.

If cultivated to its peak, Heavenly Ascension becomes possible.

——————

’Can I start cultivation now?’ he thought.

Every time he had checked his status before, the technique had shown as locked.

But since yesterday, it no longer did.

That was why he had come here today, to this hidden space where no one would interrupt him, with the specific intention of finally beginning his cultivation journey!

As for the [Heaven Dominating Divine Sword Art], he had already been practicing it regularly.

Controlling and refining his aura required constant discipline, and the sword art provided the perfect framework for doing so.

Now, standing atop Asta in the sunless sky, Caelum felt a faint excitement rising within him.

"Asta, stop!"

The horse slowed to a hover, its blue fur shimmering as mana radiated off it in steady, quiet waves.

Caelum stepped onto Asta’s back and settled into a cross-legged position.

He intended to use the horse as a cultivation mat.

Unfortunately, Asta was not in the mood to cooperate.

Instead of staying still, the horse suddenly twisted its body and rotated a full one hundred and eighty degrees in midair.

Halfway through the motion, Caelum was no longer on top of anything.

He was falling.

"SHIT! YOU—!" Caelum shouted as he lost his balance and began plummeting toward the ground.

"NEIGH!" Asta neighed loudly, sounding suspiciously smug as he watched his master fall.
