[Patch notes are coming in earlier as acceleration has been requested by our sponsors!]

[Before the Beast Tide is continued some corrections need to be made to interactions, skills and weapons to balance the game]

[Mob changes:]

[Troll regeneration Debuff: the regeneration ability of low level trolls is a bit too incredible, making them ridiculously hard to kill for Players below level ten.]

[Kobold Spearman Skill: New players cannot compete against the weapon handling of Kobold elites.]

[Void Eater Slowdown debuff: small adjustment to how long Void Eater Spheres slow down enemies]

[Equipment changes:]

[Troll Jacket Debuff: This gets the same regen debuff that Trolls are getting]

[Demon Gauntlet: The Carnage damage multiplier is being reduced from 50 to 20 percent.]

[Shaman Necklace: Additions to Constitution removed as per suggestions from Sponsors.]

[Echo Armor: Additions to Strength removed as per suggestions from Sponsors.]

[Skill Changes:]

[Fortify Debuff: The second 100% increase in defense and weight is reduced to 70%]

[Slash Buff: The second counter slash now does 40% more damage instead of 35%]

[Severe Hit Buff: the Bleed effect is increased (Bleed now also slows down enemies).]

[Online Party Chats are now available]

[Final Note: Please mind our Spatial Boundaries. All spatial schemas and skills will be temporarily weaker for the next 48 hours. The Decoherence effect of two equi-distance portals is negated in this time for our safety.]

Faust frowned, disgust in his eyes. "Why are there so many nerfs and barely any buffs?"

The Click to expand button on most of the patch notes revealed rows of skills, equipment and monsters being weakened or changed.

Does this system understand balancing at all? You debuff one skill, another is just going to be stronger or more expensive.

Like making the Elite Kobolds worse fighters. The Players already adapted group tactics to fight them, so the Kobolds were weaker and these tactics still existed. Those Elite were fucked in the next wave....

Or buffing the Bleed Effect and nerfing Troll regeneration. Those were obviously connected. But Increasing Bleed having a slow effect made it double effect with Poison have slow effects.

Trolls were already slow, now they were just going to be snails. Not to talk about Goblin Assassins which have the Severe Hit skill and already use poisoned blades some times.

"These are pretty shit patch notes," Nirvana muttered off to the side of him. They were walking out of the house they destroyed. "I lost like 10 Combat Power. Greg is going to lose like 30 because of this."

"I think I’ve lost around 40," Faust cursed under his breath. He looked up to the sky and then spun searching the horizon.

Nirvana raised an eyebrow, getting closer reluctantly. She was thinking about what happened a few minutes ago. But instead of a frown, Faust saw her smiling.

"Faust, what’s wrong?"

"I don’t know. Yet. But those patch notes. They said an acceleration. Let’s make a Party, so we can chat."

The formation of their party came with shy smiles and playful jabs. Nirvana hit him for the third time when he asked why she was so happy again. He named the party Midnight.

"Hey! You two!" An angry voice called from behind them. A squat older man with scattered grey hair was marching at them with an angry expression. Though that might be his resting face. "You just smashed my home to bits!"

Nirvana’s dark gaze unfettered the little man. She moved but Faust raised a hand and she immediately sulked back.

"I apologise, sir," Faust said politely. "Did you have anything valuable in there? Seeing as we came here a day or two ago, I doubt it."

"Smart mouth, aren’t ya?" The man started. He pointed a finger in Faust face and—

Something tore through the world.

Dust rose. Bricks were scattered, bouncing off Faust’s hardened skin. A single floating arm was left in the carnage, blood trailing where the rest of the body had been.

The arm fell to the ground silently.

Faust’s eyes were ringing. Nirvana was screaming behind him and pulled him off his feet as she ran. Faust turned and followed smoothly, picking her up and using a dash.

The skill had been severely weakened, but the world still blurred around them as he fled the area.

Blood regeneration healed his ringing ears and the sounds of explosions and screams filled the silence. Faust looked up to the sky and saw a ball of metal, being superheated and shot down at the town like a railgun.

In his arms Nirvana stared up, pointing at two other figures. "Who the fuck are they? Why are we under attack?! On. Our. Goddamn. Break!"

Faust clicked his tongue. "It’s the fourth wave. This is the acceleration the system was talking about."

He had so far been unable to see any Nivice Village undergo the fourth or fifth wave. He had been wondering why, but this might be the answer.

In the sky, three things hung above them bringing down calamity like rain.

The sphere of iron shot bits of metal down so fast that Faust couldn’t even follow.

A woman-shaped figure with multiple tentacles for arms and legs, lounging in the air and doing nothing. Which Faust found more concerning.

And a man with the lower body of a Robotic Spider, wearing a black helmet with six purple eyes and a billowing black cloak.

These guys were normal monsters. He could see the robot spider laugh, see the woman chuck chips into her mouth, which looked nightmarish even from a distance. And the Iron sphere followed people specifically.

[Welcome to the Fourth wave! It is aptly called Patron’s Delight.]

[After some encouragement (I got paid) I have decided to cut the break short. Our Patrons are very excited to play with you! Three have been chosen for this round and they are... Well, you’re cooked. That’s all that needs to be said.]

[So, to keep some of my Players alive, I am granting everyone a single extra life. Am I not generous?! You haven’t even upgraded the huts to level 2 yet.]

[How you use your second life is none of my business. Just try not to die. These guys are... a bit tough.]
