[Welcome to the newest season of the Origin Trials!]

[Let’s get our recap started!] 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
The screen opened with a roar of fire and a single girl standing between the flames unburnt. Her auburn hair and pale, freckled face glowed in the carnage, revealing a sinister look on her face.
[Old Dog’s mad dog. The consuming flame. Ignore that pretty face. You don’t mess with crazy. She’s kept under lock and key till it’s time to fight]
Whatever this girl’s Schema was, Faust wanted it. She generate clouds of flames and smoke with each scream.
And they burnt like hell.
The fires burnt as hot as his Heavy Fireball, and anything that came within a certain radius was afflicted by more than pain. Even trolls that had high pain tolerance collapsed and crumbled to ashes beneath her boots.
Next was Diego shouting orders from the ramparts and fighting his way to the golden dome during the fourth wave. He didn’t have as many combat clips, but he had many speeches cinematic shots of his tired, ragged looks
[He’s fallen out of the top ten with the rapid development of players, but he’s still the defacto leader of Novice Village #1. He’s also been rejecting a lot of ladies recently...]
"Can it hold stop the gossip?" Thalia moaned. "Diego isn’t top ten anymore?"
The level leaderboard opened almost instantly beisde the stream recap screen.
[Level Leaderboard:
○ Red God
○ Gamebreaker
○ Golden Dream
○ IDC
○ Kingmaker
○ Spider
○ Nirvana
○ Broke Gambler
○ Firestarter
○ Flawless]
"Hasn’t changed much," Spider muttered.
Nirvana stared at her wide eyed. "I guess you and Zen moving up isn’t worth noting. Power couple for real."
Spider jumped down from her rooftop seat to pounce on Nirvana. Faust turned back to the recap as they wrestled and laughed begrudgingly. As hot as a catfight was, he wanted to see more of the players.
Next was Spider, Zen and Nirvana’s team. They fought across all battlefronts. The system put together scenes of them laughing and having fun during life threatening moments. It made sure the wacky moments were at the forefront.
"Why is this making us look like stupid and careless," Zen remarked.
Greg groaned as one of his near-death moments played. "They make it look like we get into this situations on purpose."
[Led by the elite archer, IDC, this is a balanced, stacked team with three players in the tope ten. Many say they’re the best team in Novice Village #1, but some say our rank no 2 is building the next super team. Our quirky team might have just had some rookie luck.]
"Someone shut this guy up," Thalia groaned.
[Our sharpshooter himself has garnered some popularity among female streamers. He’s cool, calm and a trusty leader. He’s the normal among his strange friends.]
They all glanced at Zen, who had a wide smile on his face, and rolled their eyes. Faust noted the system’s words. It was obviously building a narrative.
[Spider is the physical freak of the group. Her transformations are horrifying, her attitude is cold and blunt, and she’s undeniable the savage damage dealer of the group.]
Spider scoffed. "The system really thinks that’s an insult."
They showed a few clips of her most horrid transformations with cinematic improvements. The darkened lighting, the sudden close ups to bones shifting beneath skin like clay. It was shot well and the viewers loved it.
A lot of them were violently disgusted, but many speculated on biology, genetics and what her dna could provide to the evolution of man. Others were just a bit weird.
[Nirvana is the cursed freak, who wields a wealth of dark powers. Such beauty to hide the evil beneath. She’s said to have an obsession with our elusive rank one...]
Everyone managed to remain silent on that one, but Nirvana turned between all of them and just grinned.
[The last two members are so notable, but they are the tank and brains of the team. Thalia, or Goliath(bold name but she’s a bold girl), is on the bottom rungs of the top 1000, but she still manages to provide utility to her team]
Thalia pretended not to notice the looks from her friends. "I’m fine. Dumb jabs from a newborn system mean nothing."
Next up was Gamebreaker, and Faust honestly felt disgusted from the amount of praise the system poured on this.
The editing behind all of Jason’s fights were flawless. Classical music played as he swung his hands and used his Schema to fling opponents around like dolls. The sounds of music stopped each time they showed weapons snapping against his skin like he was made of steel.
Jason wasn’t exactly ugly, but he wasn’t handsome. But the system edited his face, not too much, but it made him a bit more appealing. Honestly, Faust wasn’t sure. He might just be over-analyzing things.
They showed the troll chief battle and Faust had to admit that it was a tough fight. But what the stream viewers didn’t seem to notice was how clumsy and hesitant Jason was.
Faust felt he could end that fight far quicker and with less damage taken. Jason was tough and took those hits in a really cool way. But still it felt amateur.
"His Schema is just ridiculous," Zen muttered. "It’s like nothing can even hurt him."
Spider nodded. "I would not like to get into a fight with that guy."
"He’s a pompous sod, but yeah." Thalia sighed. "There might be no easy way to beat that guy."
Faust held back his laugh, but he shook slightly and his voice escaped him.
"Okay, okay." Nirvana rolled her eyes. "We know you can easily beat him."
You can too.
Faust smiled, breathless from his laugh. He sincerely believed that, especially right now that Jason didn’t know much about fighting. Nirvana was close to level 6, some grinding and she’d be on even ground with Jason.
They all focused as Faust’s red hair flashed over the recap screen.
