100X Returns System: I Dominate the Age of Gods
Chapter 301. Time to fullfill your Oath - 3
Elements in their true nature are forces wielded by an entity to achieve feats a mortal or even a god couldn’t achieve normally.
These forces were not merely tools or extensions of power, but rather fundamental aspects of existence itself, shaping reality in ways that transcended conventional understanding. To perceive them as simple abilities would have been a grave misunderstanding, as their true depth extended far beyond what most beings could never comprehend.
These elements cannot be ruled over by anyone; they have a consciousness and will of their own. These wills can take any form they wish, whether it be beastialk, godly, mortal, or any race and age. In some sense, these elements were also shape shifters.
The main realm in which the Will of the Elements resides is the astral plane.
They were not bound by hierarchy or submission, and their ability to assume any form made them both elusive and enigmatic in nature.
The Astral Plane is the realm where all types of spirits reside. It is an endless, never-ending realm, and even the inhabitants of the astral realm don’t know where it ends. Its situation is similar to Aris’s in some ways.
The vastness of this realm defied measurement, stretching infinitely in all directions without any clear boundaries. Even those who had existed within it since the dawn of time could not claim to understand its full extent.
The spirits of these elements thus take forms of their preference and watch over the whole universe through the eyes of the creatures, wielding a certain level of control over the elements in the form of affinities, tenets, authorities, and further ranks.
Through these connections, they maintained a subtle presence in the physical world, observing events unfold through countless perspectives simultaneously.
The only limitation is that these spirits are not allowed to leave the astral realm; their existence is bound to it. They can only peek through those who carry them as powers in the outside world.
This restriction was absolute, imposed by the very structure of the cosmos, ensuring that their influence remained indirect in the cycle of fate. Immortality has a price, and this is the price these elements pay.
These elements are one of the strongest beings in the universe, and if one day one of them decided to kill all gods across all existence planes, then no one would be able to stop them, other than similar spirits of elements or the universe itself.
Yet they only have the power, not the freedom to do so. The universe doesn’t allow it. Having spent their younger ages in rebellion against the mother cosmos, after almost spending years equal to the age of the universe, these elements have given up. Their only motive is to keep themselves entertained and amused while observing the mundane existences scream about a greater purpose.
Time had worn down their defiance, replacing rebellion with apathy, and leaving behind a quiet, almost detached curiosity.
They observe the daily lives of the beings who carry their traces. Sometimes they talk to the special ones, and some elements even manipulate them as such to make their lives more interesting than ever.
Their involvement varied, sometimes subtle and sometimes intrusive, depending on their whims.
The elements usually keep themselves entertained with such shenanigans; after all, they have nothing to do other than sit within the bounds of the astral plane and just observe.
This endless observation became their form of existence, a cycle that continued without interruption.
Somewhere inside the astral realm...
The true spirit of the light element, Lumen, sat on his throne watching the kneeling figure in front of him.
His throne radiated a soft brilliance, illuminating the surrounding void with a steady glow that carried an air of quiet authority.
"Lux, you are here again?" he said with a bored expression. Lux was his toy that he had gotten bored with a long time ago. This puny existence thought he could help Lumen step out from the astral plane. He thought that the feat countless immortal beings like Lumen were not able to achieve could be achieved by him.
There was little interest in his voice, as though he had heard similar claims countless times before.
Lumen shook his head and sighed. He would have kicked Lux out like always if it had not been for the news he brought that could be interesting to watch.
A faint trace of curiosity lingered, just enough to keep him from dismissing Lux immediately.
Turns out this insect had gone mad and started doing evil deeds for a few centuries, during which he had remained out of contact while still holding the authority of the light element, Lumen.
The situation itself held a certain absurdity, one that Lumen found mildly amusing.
Lux had been blabbering something about world domination and his ascension through the sacrifices of devotees.
His words flowed endlessly, filled with grand ambitions that bordered on delusion.
The Foolish man didn’t even realise who he was. Look at that maniacal smile on this fucker’s face.
Lumen’s thoughts reflected a mix of amusement and disdain as he observed the fanatic before him.
Lumen straightened his elbow on the throne. He had assumed the form of a 10-year-old white-haired human boy, the latest target he was observing.
This 10-year-old has already slain a demon god, and his life is the most interesting one Lumen has been observing.
The boy’s actions had drawn his attention in a way that few others could.
"My lord, the divine weapon is ready. Soon, my devotees will pin that sword on the chest of the sun heir. My lord, the days of your light shining over the whole world are not far."
Lux spoke with fervent devotion, his voice filled with unwavering belief.
Suddenly, Lumen interjected with an uninterested tone. "Uhm, where was this again?? Which continent??"
The interruption broke the flow of Lux’s speech, revealing Lumen’s lack of genuine investment.
Lux quieted down before answering calmly, "The continent is called Aris, my lord."
His tone shifted, becoming more composed as he responded.
Lumen shifted on his seat with an annoyed expression. "So you are still affixed to the same piece of land after 200 centuries. You really need to move on!!"
There was a hint of irritation in his voice, as though he found the lack of progress disappointing.
Lumen said. Just then, a new broadcast of the 10-year-old boy started. Lumen shook his head, dismissing Lux from his sight.
His attention shifted instantly, prioritizing what he found more entertaining.
"My lord!! Please give me a chance!!" Lux spoke in a painful, fanatic voice.
Desperation filled his words, yet they carried little weight in Lumen’s mind.
Lumen looked at Lux with a frown. It had always been like this, a misunderstanding in his mind. Lumen had been too lazy and unbothered to correct him. After living since the creation of the universe, the only thing that drew his attention and made him bother was entertainment, pure entertainment.
His indifference stemmed from an existence far too long to be concerned with trivial matters.
Yet for now, Lumen knew that Lux wouldn’t leave until he said something. "Fine, I will be watching over you. Don’t disappoint me," he said before turning to look at the screen by his side.
The statement was given without much thought, more to end the interaction than to encourage it.
Lux praised Lumen for a few moments before leaving the astral plane.
His departure was accompanied by continued expressions of gratitude.
"Oh, he slew a giant today!!" Lumen spoke with excitement as he looked at the 10-year-old, uncaring of the surroundings.
His attention had already moved on, fully absorbed in the unfolding events he found interesting.

Sylvaris Empire..
The White Raven sat in front of Selena. He adjusted his white gloves for a moment before shifting in his seat and looking at Selena. His movements reflected his composed demeanor.
"May I know what about you scared my servants so much that I could hear their breaths from my seat?" Selena asked with a smile.
"Miss Empress, I hope you remember the oath," White Raven said in a deep voice.
"Yes, I do," she replied.
Her response carried a quiet seriousness.
White Raven nodded slowly. "It’s time to fulfill your oath."
Birds chirped in his ears. The white raven turned his head only to realise that he had been drawn into an illusion. An illusion of a mystic and beautiful scenery, a serene forest, and a huge world tree in the distance.
"Let’s talk details in private here." Selena spoke with her usual smile.
