A low, muffled sound snapped Ye Mingmei back to reality, staring dumbfounded at her hand.

How did she suddenly come to open someone else’s hospital room door, and even open it...

After a few moments of stagnation, Ye Mingmei suddenly took a step back.

Fixing her gaze on the door of the hospital room.

After a moment of hesitation, she stepped forward.

She politely knocked on the door and, hearing no response, pushed the door open and cautiously walked inside.

She had barely walked a short distance when she suddenly realized the way ahead was blocked.

Reaching out to turn on the light by the door, she saw a massive pane of glass ahead, sealing off the entire space.

Standing outside, she couldn’t see anything at all.

Just as she was about to look for an entrance, she heard footsteps behind her and stepped out of the room to see an assistant striding towards her.

"Miss Ye, what are you doing here?"

"..."

Ye Mingmei looked down at her position, then raised her head to glance at the inaccessible hospital room ahead, her face embarrassed.

"I was bored lying down, and thought someone lived next door, so I wanted to come over and say hello."

Ye Mingmei paused, looking up at the assistant behind her, "You’re here, so where is Diwu Zexuan? Is Meimei done with her check-up? Can I go see her?"

Thinking of her daughter, Ye Mingmei couldn’t care less about exploring further.

"There are still some routine checks to be done, the master is personally handling them, and he asked me to come up and collect some blood samples from you, Miss Ye, please come with me." The assistant respectfully gestured, leading Ye Mingmei into the hospital room.

As their figures just disappeared at the doorway, the lights in the adjacent hospital room suddenly came on.

After a slight sound, the glass blocking Ye Mingmei earlier quietly vanished, and Diwu Zexuan emerged from inside carrying Meimei.

Glancing at the spot where Ye Mingmei had walked, his mesmerizing eyes flickered.

If he hadn’t been vigilant and noticed Ye Mingmei leaving her room from the monitor, quickly instructing the assistant to leave and activating the mechanism to isolate this area, Ye Mingmei might have discovered Yu Xiuzhun hidden in there just moments ago.

Diwu Zexuan, holding Meimei, turned around and took a deep look at the still silently sleeping Yu Xiuzhun, a hint of gravity in his eyes.

After a moment, he carried Meimei out of the hospital room.

Just as he reached Ye Mingmei’s hospital room door, ready to push it open, the elevator suddenly opened.

"Where did you go just now? I couldn’t find you anywhere, Ye Mingmei is so anxious for Meimei that she’s about to lose it." Rui Hui walked out from the elevator, seeing Diwu Zexuan standing in front of the hospital room, and quickly stepped forward.

Her anxious words carried a trace of grievance.

She had nearly turned the entire lab building upside down trying to find Diwu Zexuan yet couldn’t find a trace of him.

He was her husband, and yet she had no clue where he might be...that feeling was so frustrating!

"I went to your lab and the pharmacy...couldn’t find you anywhere."

"The little one cried a bit earlier, so I took her for a walk downstairs by the artificial lake." Diwu Zexuan spoke impassively, his large hand softly touching Rui Hui’s elfin face.

He curled the corner of his mouth.

"You never used to cling to me this much, but I like it." His gentle tone carried a hint of teasing, causing Rui Hui’s face to flush instantly.

Puffing up her cheeks on purpose, "Mingmei must be worried sick, I’ll quickly get Meimei inside for her."
