70s Delicate Girl: A Guide to Being a Rich Woman
Chapter 457: Fourth Aunt Is Pregnant
"Have you guys made up your mind? Once you take these back, you’ll have to learn on your own. I don’t have that much time to teach you," Xu Mumu looked at them and asked.
"We’ve decided, big sis. We can self-study," Xu Jiaojiao nodded firmly. If she wins a few more awards, she might be able to buy a house, Xu Jiaojiao thought to herself, making her own little plans.
"Alright, but if you can’t learn it, you’ll be the ones crying," Xu Mumu said calmly, picking out a few of everything to see what each of them was good at.
This time, when Xu Mumu wanted to pay, the two kids jumped ahead. The two kids actually brought quite a bit of money with them, but they just hadn’t had a chance to spend it.
Xu Mumu was stunned for a moment, then smiled. It was fine if she paid; after all, the two kids could already earn their own money and quite a bit at that. It’s fine if she paid; in the future, they can pay for themselves.
Xu Mumu suddenly realized that her younger brother and sister had grown up, and she felt quite gratified. She had watched them grow bit by bit. Her mischievous brother seemed to be a vivid memory. Back then, Xu Jiaojiao was also a shy and introverted girl, and now she had changed so much.
As Xu Mumu was taking the two kids back, she received a phone call from their old home; it was to deliver good news. Her third aunt, Sun Huiping, was pregnant.
This was indeed good news. After the birth of fraternal twins, her third aunt’s belly hadn’t shown any movement. Madam Chen had urged a few times but ultimately nothing happened. However, considering that Fourth Uncle already had Xu Tao, who was already making noise, she didn’t bother with Fourth Uncle’s matters.
No one expected that after so many years, Sun Huiping could get pregnant again.
"Big sis, do you think my mom might give birth to another pair of fraternal twins? My little aunt had fraternal twins, and my grandpa’s family had a lot of fraternal twins," Xu Jiaojiao said with shining eyes.
"You’re dreaming, having fraternal twins is not that easy, it’s all up to fate," Xu Mumu was speechless from Xu Jiaojiao’s naive remarks. But indeed, the Sun Family had quite a few fraternal twins. Perhaps when Grandma had Fourth Uncle marry Fourth Aunt, she was hoping for those twins.
"Even if it’s not fraternal twins, it’s fine. I like little sisters, they are more obedient than little brothers. Kangkang at home always cries and is especially petty, I don’t like little brothers," Xu Jiaojiao said, a bit disappointed but quickly continued.
"The gender of the baby isn’t something you can decide; you’ll only know once the baby is born," Xu Mumu said helplessly. She herself preferred daughters and only wanted a daughter with Yin Yang in the future.
"I already want to go see my mom now. Oh right, big sis, let’s buy some little dresses for the baby tomorrow, and also buy milk powder and bottles," Xu Jiaojiao said excitedly, eager to rush back to see her mom. But thinking about her future little sister, she decided to spend money on clothes and milk powder for her.
"No need, it’s not too late to buy them after the baby is born when you know what they need to wear and eat. It’s better to buy some nutritional supplements for Fourth Aunt instead," Xu Mumu said helplessly, not sure what this little girl was so excited about.
"Big sis is right, indeed we should buy nutritional supplements," Xu Jiaojiao nodded seriously.
The next day, the two sisters went straight to the department store again and bought a pile of supplements. Xu Jiaojiao insisted on paying herself, and Xu Mumu let her be. Anyway, Xu Jiaojiao was quite a wealthy girl after winning the award.
When it was time to leave, Xu Mumu looked at the bags of things they were carrying and couldn’t bear to look. It was Tang and a few others who helped them carry the stuff onto the train.
"Remember to study hard when you go back, don’t let your achievements make you arrogant. You’ve seen that there are many people better than you," before leaving, Xu Mumu earnestly advised the two kids. Their achievements were impressive, but she didn’t want them to become conceited.
"Sis, don’t worry, we understand," Xu Minglei said sturdily. He couldn’t bear to leave his sister but had no choice but to go back to school. They had been here for so long, and with the entrance exams coming up, he hoped to achieve a good result.
"Good, as long as you know. Am I being naggy?" Xu Mumu said with a smile. She had put a lot of effort into these kids and naturally wouldn’t stop caring for them now.
"Not at all, big sis is doing it for our good," Xu Jiaojiao looked at Xu Mumu.
"Such good kids, hurry up and get on the train. Listen to Tang and the others on the train," Xu Mumu smiled gently, knowing it would be a long time before she saw them again, probably not until summer vacation.
"Goodbye, big sis," Xu Jiaojiao waved to Xu Mumu and then followed to board the train.
Once they were on the train, it began to move shortly after. On the train, a boy sitting not far from Xu Minglei said, "Having relatives in the Imperial City is really nice," with a tone of envy.
"It is quite nice," Xu Minglei agreed with a nod. If their sister wasn’t there, they would have had to squeeze into a guesthouse instead, which was said to be fully booked lately.
The house quieted down again, and Xu Mumu finally had time to test her strength.
Yin Yang and Lin Zhengze had brought a particularly large stone. Xu Mumu looked at the half-human-sized stone and was very satisfied.
"Mumu, maybe you shouldn’t. What if you hurt your hand?" Yin Yang looked at Xu Mumu worriedly.
"Don’t worry, I’ll be fine," Xu Mumu said calmly. She just wanted to know how much strength she could exert in full force.
Lin Zhengze, bewildered, looked at the couple, not knowing what they were up to, having him bring so many huge stones. This was one of the bigger ones on the truck.
Xu Mumu raised her hands and lifted the stone. It wasn’t very heavy; her strength seemed to have increased a bit.
She put the stone down in the yard, then clenched her fist. As Lin Zhengze watched in astonishment, Xu Mumu punched the stone.
Lin Zhengze gaped at the stone before him as cracks appeared rapidly, and it soon shattered.
His gaze at Xu Mumu changed, as no ordinary person could have such strength. This massive stone shattered with a single punch.
Looking at Xu Mumu’s hand, there was hardly any change. It was still white and tender, as if there were no changes at all.
"Not bad, now bring a bigger one," Xu Mumu looked at the shattered stone and told the two of them.
"Mumu, is your hand okay?" Yin Yang asked, worried.
"It’s fine, look, it’s perfectly fine, not even red," Xu Mumu said calmly, stretching her hand out to Yin Yang to let him see clearly.
