A Rogue For The Quadruplet Alpha's.
Chapter 304: Privacy.
Maria.
The healer moved quickly toward Davian and immediately began examining him carefully.
The room remained completely silent during the process.
Even the quadruplets who had been arguing moments ago suddenly kept quiet as all attention stayed fixed on the healer’s every movement.
Davian himself remained unusually calm this time.
For once, he wasn’t making unnecessary comments or flashing those annoying smiles at me.
Instead, he simply sat quietly against the bed while the healer checked his pulse and examined the blood stains near his lips.
I folded my arms beneath my chest while waiting impatiently for the healer to finally speak.
After what felt like forever, the old healer finally straightened slowly.
"He is getting better," the healer announced calmly.
The tension in the room eased slightly instantly.
"I never thought Lady Moon’s blood could be this effective..." he continued thoughtfully.
My brows furrowed faintly.
Again with my blood.
Honestly, the more they spoke about it, the more uncomfortable I became.
"...however," the healer added after a slight pause, "there are still some residues of the poison remaining inside his body."
Immediately, the atmosphere became tense again.
"And it would be best," the healer continued carefully, "if he stays away from emotional stress at the moment."
The moment those words left his mouth, the quadruplets all turned to look at me simultaneously.
My eyes widened slightly in disbelief.
What now?
Were they seriously trying to imply that I was the emotional stress?
The hell.
I instantly looked away from all of them in irritation before burying my face lightly against Noah’s chest instead.
At least Noah wasn’t completely insane.
His steady warmth calmed me slightly while I ignored the burning gazes aimed in my direction.
After a while, I finally lifted my head again...only to realize the healer was already gone.
Apparently, he had quietly left the room during the awkward silence.
Honestly, good for him.
Because the tension inside the room only seemed to worsen with every passing second.
"It’s getting late," Noah suddenly spoke up calmly, his voice immediately drawing everyone’s attention toward him. "And I guess Alpha Davian can walk back to his room by himself now."
The meaning behind his words was extremely obvious.
He wanted them out.
And honestly, I agreed completely.
But unfortunately, the quadruplets acted as though they hadn’t heard him at all, as not one of them moved.
Instead, the room remained awkwardly still.
Noah narrowed his eyes slightly and then surprisingly, Instead of repeating himself...he simply walked toward my bed calmly.
My breath caught faintly as he sat down comfortably before laying back against the pillows like he owned the place.
Then he lifted his hand toward me casually.
"Baby," he called softly while motioning for me to come closer. "Let’s sleep."
My cheeks heated slightly at the sudden nickname.
But before I could even react...
"You aren’t married yet, Noah." Adrien’s voice cut through the room immediatelt, hiis tone sounded strained and sharp.
I turned toward him and immediately noticed the way his fists were clenched tightly by his sides.
"You can’t sleep in the same room as Maria," he continued firmly.
The air inside the room instantly grew heavier again.
Noah, however, looked completely unbothered. If anything, he looked amused.
I, myself almost scoffed at Adrien’s words instantly.
The irony behind them was simply unbelievable.
Because this was coming from the exact same man who once ordered me to sleep in his room every single night without caring about my opinion or feelings.
Hypocrisy.
Pure hypocrisy.
Yet now suddenly he wanted to act righteous?
Please.
"I am coming, my fish," I said audibly while deliberately ignoring the dark looks coming from the quadruplets.
The nickname slipped out smoothly as I climbed onto the bed beside Noah.
And the moment I settled properly...I threw myself directly into Noah’s arms.
Noah caught me instantly without hesitation, his hands wrapping securely around my waist as though it was the most natural thing in the world.
The smug expression that appeared on his face afterward only made the quadruplets look even more irritated.
Honestly...I liked it very much.
Meanwhile, Davian attempted getting off the bed himself, but the moment his feet touched the ground, his body swayed dangerously.
He nearly staggered backward completely before Aidan quickly grabbed his arm to steady him.
"Careful," Aidan muttered immediately.
Davian clicked his tongue softly in annoyance but allowed his brother to support him anyway.
"Maria..." Damien suddenly called out, his tone sounded restrained, almost pleading. "...this isn’t proper," he continued carefully. "At least wait until you are married before—"
"What is not proper," I cut him off sharply before he could finish speaking, "is the fact that you are all still inside my room."
My voice rose slightly this time.
The frustration I had been suppressing finally started surfacing again.
Honestly, their shamelessness knew no limits.
"Aren’t husband and wife supposed to be given a little privacy?" I added firmly while tightening my hold slightly around Noah.
The room instantly became silent afterward and before I turned back toward Noah...I caught the expressions on each of the quadruplets’ faces.
Dread.
Real dread.
It lingered visibly inside their eyes as they stared at us together on the bed.
And strangely, that sight satisfied me deeply.
For once, they looked like they finally understood that they could actually lose me completely.... actually, they already did.
And honestly, I was loving every second of it.
"If Noah is staying here with you tonight," Adrien suddenly declared firmly, "then so are we."
Before anyone could react, he walked toward the floor beside the bed and sat down immediately.
My eyes widened slightly in disbelief.
Seriously?
"You will do no such thing," I said instantly.
But apparently, my words meant absolutely nothing to them.
Because immediately after Adrien sat down...the rest of the quadruplets followed his example without hesitation.
Aidan lowered himself onto the floor beside the wall while Damien sat close to the foot of the bed.
Even Davian, despite still looking weak and pale, slowly forced himself down onto the floor with stubborn determination written all over his face.
I stared at them completely speechless.
No way.
Were they truly planning to spend the entire night here?
Inside my room?
Like this?
