"Pardon?" Darius blinks like he couldn’t understand what Elaina asked them.

"Ah, sorry for asking such a strange question, but I just wanted to know if the wife of the Second Son actually is capable of using a magic that manipulates crystals of some sort."

Darius scratches his head and apologizes. "I am sorry, but I couldn’t answer that. Although I have attended and worked for the crown back then, I didn’t see the Second Son’s wife use magic like what you mentioned."

While Darius has no idea, Io does.

"Um, Miss Elaina. If I may answer your question. I worked for her for a while before I was transferred as the nanny and maid of His Highness Arlo. Unlike Darius here, who only served as a bodyguard but hasn’t seen what she can do, I have seen her use magic multiple times, and just like you asked us, the answer to that is yes. She has this weird ability that allows her to conjure a red crystal that looks like a ruby but has the shape of traditional quartz jewelry. The reason I call it weird is that using that magic is a bit painful to do, just from an outsider’s perspective. I don’t know if she was hurt when doing it."

"What do you mean?" Elaina grew curious.

"You see, if she wanted to produce that crystal and let it materialize, she usually wounds herself and makes herself bleed like a lot of it just to make something the size of our palms. She uses it at times as a catalyst for something if she wants to use magic with a lot of impact and power. But honestly, she never said the actual usage of it. One thing is for sure, and that is the fact that the crystals she conjures are made of her own blood.

Hearing the revelation, Elaina couldn’t help but be surprised by what Io said to her. If that is the case, when Elaina found Raye inside the mines, then all the crystals there, including the big crystal that encases Raye when he was still a baby, are all made of her blood? It was kind of disturbing and also a bit painful to think about.

With all the crystals and how big those crystals were back when she first saw the place, that was a lot of it to the point that it covers the whole floor and ceiling. If the crystals are made from her blood, then she used up a lot of her blood that time? Is that also the main reason that she is gone when she arrived? 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

"You alright, Mom? You look a bit pale," Arthur notices Elaina’s situation and quickly asks what is going on with her.

"Don’t worry, Arthy, I am fine. Also, thanks for indulging me with my weird question, Miss Io, and I appreciate the answer as well," Elaina smiled at the three. She managed to get a bit of info regarding Raye’s past and his origin.

"Well, I do have a question as well, Miss Elaina. I hope you can tell us, considering how important it is for us to know where we are currently in right now."

Elaina nodded. "That’s true. Considering that you three just teleported and popped out from the forest, it’s normal that you won’t know where you all are. Anyways, this is the Kingdom of Darcero, and this is a nameless town, though many call this place the Harbor Town due to it being situated near the harbor itself. One thing is for sure: this is the Kingdom of Darcero. I don’t think those people chasing you all will know where you are currently, right now."

"Eh? Kingdom of Darcero? Where is that?" Arlo asked.

"Huh? What do you mean? The Darcero Kingdom might not be considered a large kingdom, but it is one of the human kingdoms that currently exists, and there is no way anyone doesn’t know about the place unless they are from far away.

Darius scratches his head. "I think Sir Arlo is speaking the truth that he doesn’t know where this place is. We do know there are human kingdoms out there, but these kingdoms are all well known for us as well, which is why we know very much if we have reached the human kingdom not too far from our original home. However...this is the first time I have heard of Darcero Kingdom."

Hearing this, Elaina is not sure on why they keep saying they have no idea what is going on.

"Raye, can you get the world map? They should at the very least see what I am speaking about, and for them to understand what I am saying, because I am also getting confused about what they are talking about."

Raye nodded and immediately headed upstairs before returning with the world map. Raye spreads the map on the table, revealing the map of the world. However, upon seeing the map, the three seem to be horrified by what they learn.

"Hold on, are you sure this is the accurate map of the world, Miss Elaina?" Darius asked.

Elaina nodded. "Yes. This is the official map of the world. This is mapped and compiled by various cartographers in the world, and you can say that this is pretty accurate. Even areas that have yet to be explored have been explored by these cartographers in hopes that they can produce the most accurate map possible. So yes, they have mapped out all of the key locations, and that includes the Darcero Kingdom. What about your kingdom? Perhaps you can check over on the map and see how far you’ve been teleported away?"

The three quickly examined the map. They are mumbling something about it being impossible and how the situation is not something they could understand. After a few minutes of them trying to make sense and even find their origin, the three seem to look like they didn’t resolve whatever problem they had experienced at all. Instead, it felt like they were more confused than ever before.

"Um, Miss Elaina. I don’t know how to say this...but from the looks of it, it seems that the kingdom we came from...does not exist on the map," Arlo revealed.

Elaina was confused. What do you mean? I am quite sure this map is complete and there is no way that the kingdom that you lot came from have been missed."

Io shook her head. "From the looks of it, Miss Elaina, it’s not like the map has something wrong which is why we couldn’t find the location. In fact, I think the map is pretty much too detailed for us to even say that there’s something wrong with it. However, the kingdom that we came from before, seems to differ completely. Kingdom of Despia is considered as the largest kingdom in the world and we take pride of it. The map even shows how the kingdom’s border and land mass is quite huge compared to the neighboring kingdoms. But looking at the current map you have shown us, I can totally tell, that we aren’t even staying in a world where Kingdom of Despia exist."

"Wait...you mean..." Elaina couldn’t finish it as Io nodded and confirmed it.

"Correct, Miss Elaina. It seems that the world we are in differs to the world we came from. And the reason Kingdom of Despia does not exist here...is because it doesn’t indeed exist due to the fact that we have been transported to a different reality from us. We got lost within the human world and we have no way of coming back."
