A Sorcerer’s Journey
Chapter 1041 - 1033: Spacetime Imprisonment
Xiao Ba was like an ant on a hot pan, frantically anxious.
"Damn it, Dominator, this is a Metal Destroyer with the power of a Dominator! The entire spacetime of the Netherfire World has been confined. We have become mere crickets in this box, with no escape. This small world simply cannot withstand the Dominator’s forceful descent. We’re doomed, we’re totally doomed this time!"
Beneath the Green Truth Mask, the three-colored eyes flickered. After a while, Green suddenly said in a low voice, "There’s another way."
"Huh!?"
Xiao Ba looked at Green, his two small wings flapping anxiously.
"What’s the method? Quickly tell me. This is not the time to joke or be cryptic. I don’t want Leafy to become a widow, ahhhhh..."
Green’s gaze shifted southward.
"We’ll smuggle through that natural temporal rift!"
"Pah, what kind of lousy plan is that? You don’t understand the Dominator’s true power, it..."
Halfway through speaking, Xiao Ba stopped, muttering, "Gah!? If that Dominator truly descends into the Netherfire World, perhaps there might be a chance then. After all, if you unseal yourself and activate the Robe of Appearances, it’s almost impossible for the lower beings to detect you. So, you plan to..."
"You go ahead to the world rift and wait for me. If the Dominator decides not to personally come to this world but leads a legion for the invasion, we’ll have to resist to the end and create an opportunity for it to fully descend into the world."
With that, Xiao Ba disappeared in a flash towards the south on the back of the Infernal Soul Myriad-Heads Bird, while Green continued at full speed towards the Northern Continent.
The entire sky was filled with Netherfire Wraiths, embroiled in the terrifying pressure of despair that spread to every corner of the world. Some flew chaotically, some hid in corners trembling, while others remained motionless. Even some began to disintegrate due to the disturbance of the rules, being most sensitive to changes in the Netherfire World since they were born out of its rules.
The entire world was trembling, crying!
The creature was overwhelmingly powerful. If it managed to squeeze into this small world, the rules would be irreversibly destroyed and collapse; a cataclysm would inevitably descend upon the world, and the weak new-born Netherfire Clan, remnants after being cleansed by the Wizard Legion, would be unlikely to survive the cataclysm, likely facing extinction.
Inhale... exhale...
Inhale... exhale...
It felt like a mountain was pressing down on him, and Green struggled to adjust his breathing rhythm, feeling the pressure spreading from the Eastern Continent. He couldn’t help but rise to a prayer that only weak and ignorant beings might hold.
Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle...
In his hand, the Heart of Ketami continued to beat powerfully. Gritting his teeth, Green dismissed all distractions and looked at the heart in his hand.
And it was at this very moment!
Not daring to waste even a second, Green took out some of his stored Sands of Time on the back of the Infernal Soul Myriad-Heads Bird, doing his utmost to dispel the Power of Despair and the attached indestructible will within it.
As the Infernal Soul Myriad-Heads Bird with its burning black flames let out cries, two hundred heads rang out in unison, seemingly in fearful submission to the terrifying being that brought doomsday from outside, yet wailing in discontent.
Under the twilight of doomsday, the enormous creature whose wings spanned hundreds of meters opened its wings wide and carried Green toward the core area of the Northern Continent.
Five days later.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom...
Perhaps the attack on District Six of the Second Ring Holy Tower on the Eastern Continent was too strong; the defensive position built over years by the group of seven in District Twenty-Two of the Northern Continent had not suffered the expected doomsday-like invasion. Apart from the numerous Guangling Fortresses built along the southern mountains from advantageous positions, which occasionally shot down an invading combat robot, only small mechanical objects slipping through the gaps in the World’s Veil frequently harassed them from the sky.
With a call from the Infernal Soul Myriad-Heads Bird, Green shrank and transformed into a fingertip-sized creature, surrounded by Seven-Colored Runes. Only then did he remember that his two trusted wizards, Lulianmian and Sachy, had both been sent to the Wizard World, and now with the Netherfire World spacetime isolated, they couldn’t return for orders.
Sighing, Green contacted the Combat Command.
"Great Stigmata Sorcerer of the Oblivion Tower, the legion has been under the unified command of the Arc Thundercloud Stigma Sorcerer during these days of emergency preparations. Is there any special combat instruction from you, sir?"
On the crystal ball’s screen, an elderly Dawn Wisdom witch asked Green.
One couldn’t deny the terror of the Dominator’s might!
Now, Green, using his Stigmata Sorcerer power, found maintaining such close-range communication within a world via the crystal ball to consume almost as much magic power as constantly activating Annihilation Force. Even Green could not sustain the communication for long.
"Distribute all design blueprints for the Zhangma Tree Nests."
After saying that, Green ended the crystal ball connection.
Amidst a precarious situation himself, this was all Green could do to aid these low-grade wizards. After glancing at the Demon-Hunting Sorcerers attempting to restart the World Transmission Formation, Green paid no heed and moved towards the kilometer-diameter summoning altar by Elemental Teleport.
The ability of a wizard lies in energy manipulation of rules. Now, with the Force of Spacetime around the Netherfire World imprisoned by the Metal Destroyer, it’s impossible to manipulate the rules, let alone activate the World Transmission Formation.
Appearing by Elemental Teleport around the kilometer-wide altar, millions of Slave Legion soldiers surrounded it in vague protection. Beside Green, a Third-Level Great Sorcerer with scars on his face turned and respectfully acknowledged Green with Wizards’ Etiquette, after seeing who it was.
This person was one of the four trusted wizards under the Rainbow Potion giant rat, whose strength, based on Green’s estimation, was inferior to Sachy but superior to Lulianmian.
"What’s the status?"
Waving his hand, Green asked.
On the kilometer-wide summoning altar, the giant rat had sacrificed massive amounts of Energy Baryte and some rare peculiar materials to connect with a will from an unknown world. The will of a mysterious creature wrapped in giant leaves descended. Through the seams, only a pair of purple eyes and three pairs of long narrow auxiliary eyes could be seen, all dark inside.
One couldn’t tell which world rule this creature had evolved under, allowing such robust smuggling projection capability, so much so that its will descended even under the Dominator’s spacetime blockade.
Beneath the Green Truth Mask, Green looked at this bizarre creature, astonished and muttering, "Multiple self-sealings, how strong is its true form?"
"Reporting to the Stigmata Sorcerer of the Oblivion Tower, this is already the seventh attempt to communicate and summon. It is said that this is the mightiest World Master that the great Rainbow Potion Stigmata Sorcerer befriended in a distant world group. If even he is unwilling to challenge the Dominator’s majesty to assist..." 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
Before the trusted wizard could finish, the bizarre creature over a hundred meters tall, wrapped in layers of leaves on the altar, suddenly vanished. The giant rat, drained of magic power, nearly collapsed on the altar, but Green supported him with an Elemental Teleport.
Having endured the Dominator’s spacetime blockade this many times in such a short period, even with numerous sorcery instruments and potion support, this Stigmata Sorcerer was now incredibly weak and exhausted.
"Huff, huff, huff..."
Seeing it was Green, the giant rat steadied himself with a Magic Wand, trying hard to show a smiling face and said, "It’s okay, at least we still have this last trump card, cough cough cough..."
Numerous Starry Sky Summoners scattered blood essence, which the giant rat sprinkled over the altar in a handful. (To be continued.
