A Sorcerer’s Journey
Chapter 1049 - 1051: World Collapse
"You are seeking your own demise..."
Peering beyond the dark fissure behind the metallic giant hands, I saw everything inside the Netherfire World. After a moment of silent oppression and amid the infinite, endless oppression that enveloped the entire Netherfire World, an icy will emerged from the Metal Destroyer.
The crowd gazing at the sky couldn’t help but swallow hard, yet they also let out a sigh of relief.
It was finally coming.
The only chance to seek life from death!
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The Arc Thundery Flower swirled with an electric storm, gathering four avatars of Wandering Dandelions. The Magic Power of Old Sorcerer Welid was exhausted, as they surrounded the summoning altar, joined by the seven-member group from District 22 of the Second Ring Holy Tower of the Wizard World. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"Is there really no other way besides this?"
Sucking on the nipple of the plump cat, the Flame Holy Grail weakly asked.
Due to the Magic Backlash, it seemed this time there was no way to evade this calamity, even less than the two Pseudo-Stigmata Sorcerers with the support of the Source of Magic Power. The color of death loomed in its eyes.
The crushing pressure of space-time gates from unknown distant world communities or the power of the Metal Destroyer descending upon this fragile small world was not something this Magic Backlash Stigmata Wizard could face. Due to its own life level, it was impossible to hide inside the world like other low-level wizards, praying for fate’s favor, like cockroaches and rats.
Everyone faced it with silence.
Each wizard, more or less during expeditions, has encountered some wandering evil god; the tragic fate of rootless duckweeds, indeed lamentable, if there were other possibilities, no one would want to leave their Mother Realm.
The Starry Sky Blood Essence Cover on the altar jittered ever smaller, seemingly the Dominator summoned by the special method of the Rainbow Potion giant rat in the distant world, also clearly sensed the destructive pressure outside the world, gradually retracting into the Gate of Space-Time.
"Meow, foreign evil god or not, as long as we’re alive, there’s still a chance!"
After the plump cat consoled itself loudly, rumbling sounds akin to exploding thunder in the high sky appeared, making Green feel as if terrifying giant metallic hands could easily crush him to death, pulling fiercely at both ends of the world fissure.
Crackle crack! Crackle crack!
The fissure stretching to the world’s end was like the Netherfire World being gutted; the World’s Cloak Rule Arc boiled, resisting desperately but to no avail, merely slightly delaying the inevitable.
"Humph..."
A dull groan.
The entire Northern Continent trembled; giant stones slowly levitated, bursting into powder, chasms in the continent split open, seawater flooded in, magma boiled, rivers ran dry, mountains collapsed, and arcs of doomsday fireballs fell irregularly from the sky, setting the Northern Continent’s ice and snow ablaze.
The World’s Heart from the deepest part of the ground counterattacked with all its might. The collective will of all surviving creatures in the Netherfire World coalesced as the Netherfire World faced the fate of collapse and destruction, launching the most ferocious counterattack against the terror creature utterly beyond its bearing capacity, a retaliation embodying the resistance of the world’s will!
Columns of dark green Netherfire rose into the sky from all corners of the world, gradually converging into substantialized rule saws, continuously slashing at the massive metallic hands ripping open the black fissure, eliciting pained grunts from the Metal Destroyer.
Yet, that was all!
The giant metallic hands still refused to let go, simultaneously resisting the closing of tens of thousands of World’s Cloak rules while enduring attacks from the Netherfire World’s original force, as the fissure widened.
Soon, the Netherfire World would be fully exposed to this monstrous creature, stripped bare like a lamb unweaned, left for it to ravage wantonly.
"What a pity..."
Green, in the Elemental True Body of the Flame Giant, his feet sunk into the ground, faced with the tangible oppression descending from directly above, bowed in subjugation, supporting himself with the extreme abyss magic staff to avoid kneeling. Over two hundred Infernal Soul Bird Heads drooped their necks, straining to roar defiantly at the sky, but the incessant high-intensity pressure impact prevented even raising their heads.
Green’s regret was for the Netherfire World being a small world.
If it were a medium world, possessing a stronger, more robust World’s Cloak and original rules for support, with the gathered power of this world’s wizards relying on defensive advantages, there was a chance to stand against it, potentially delaying indefinitely before the opponent’s army claimed superiority.
But now...
"Be prepared!"
Having clearly sensed the Netherfire World reaching its resistance limit, an apocalyptic conflagration rolled, this was the manifestation of element boiling.
The world’s rule framework suffered severe damage, and the elements’ force obeying the rules began collapsing like a structureless house of sand and mud.
Numerous Demon-Hunting Sorcerers had long commenced fleeing individually amidst the doomsday scene, while the Slave Monster Corps quivered on the ground; some even lower-ranked slaves began convulsing in agony, as the tangible oppression neared the endurance limit.
In the high altitude above, seven Space Fortresses quietly hovered. Dawn Wisdom, one of the most elite sorcerer organizations in the Wizard World, remained steadfast in the Fortress Combat Command, awaiting the arrival of death.
"Roar!"
Crackle crack!
The full rupture sound of the World’s Cloak Rule Arc!
Poof, poof, poof, poof, poof, poof, poof...
On the ground, millions of subordinate beings below the First Level perished en masse; countless Netherfire Wraith howled in dissolution. One by one, Guangling Fortresses, like fireflies under the noon sun, were on the verge of extinction; within the Dominators’ oppressive range, subordinate beings below the First Level had no path but death.
"Now!"
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Seven Space Fortress Destruction Cannons erupted, taking advantage of the temporal gap when the Metal Destroyer descended, the space-time lock temporarily vanished. Not only did the other six Stigma Sorcerers besides Green, several Pseudo-Stigmata Wizards, some Great Witch Hunters, and even mighty Slave Monsters, all roared with all their might and fled inward through the altar’s temporal gateway.
This represented the hope for life.
Simultaneously, Green also activated Space-Time Transmission Sorcery, faintly sensing Xiao Ba’s urgent urging from distant spacetime; the boiling magic power already triggered, exploded in that instant.
"Ugh..."
A ripping and tearing pressure surged forth, millions of Dandelion Garment threads gathered on Green’s body; a flash before his eyes, though the scene remained familiar, but the space-time crack inside the gigantic altar burst forth like a fountain, releasing a torrent of blood and shattered corpses, brutally hellish.
The hair-raising fear chilled Green’s spine, the panic reflected in his three-colored light eyes, sweat streamed coldly down his back, and he dared not face the gaze he could distinctly feel.
This sense of struggle and crisis...
In a faint moment, a familiar sense, the long-conducted research on the Life Key seemed to break through.
The sound of shackled information in cell genetics crumbling, the body’s call?
Swish...
Yet waiting for Green was a dazzling beam of white light from above, engulfing everything.
The Wandering Dandelion Garment and Green’s body, struggling only momentarily in the white light, before being utterly evaporated and erased of all traces.
A myriad of nightmare eyes peered upon him, the body seemingly being torn by countless ghostly claws, tens of thousands of nightmare consciousnesses sought to invade Green’s body, drilling into Green internally, the suffocating pain, and time stretched so long that Green nearly thought himself dead.
Without continuing in the direction of Nightmare Wizardry, Green’s Nightmare Power lagged increasingly behind his life level, the ability to sustain the Immortal Body growing weaker, Green’s spiritual power nosedived from 450 points all the way to the bottom!
In the transition to reality, before fainting, Green vaguely saw a brilliant ten-meter-long Metal Robot seizing the glittering flame holy grail and a tattered bag; the ground was a vast pit spanning thousands of miles, its eyes displaying astonishment gazing upon him.
Then a spatial distortion wave ensued; faintly, Xiao Ba’s loud cries were heard, then all plunged into darkness...
