A Sorcerer’s Journey
Chapter 1061 - 1063: Sword of Shadows
"The Sorcerer’s enemy?"
Under the Face of Truth, Green murmured in confusion; wasn’t the Sorcerer’s enemy the Metal Destroyer Civilization?
The Leading Elf King definitely wasn’t referring to the Metal Destroyer Civilization, could it be some other unknown enemy, surely it’s not the Abyssal civilization!
In his bewilderment, the Three-Colored Light Eyes beneath Green’s Face of Truth suddenly flicked towards another distant direction as yet another Evil God gradually approached from afar, identity unknown. Amidst the vigilance of the Leading Elf King and a multitude of elf guards, the Bone-Spiked Behemoth form of Green vanished in a puff of black smoke, leaving only the Moon at the spot.
"I’ll return this little fellow to you. Convey my apologies to the owner of the summoning compass."
...
A few hourglasses later.
"Hmph, so it’s you?"
Fist King Tribes arrived at the camp and discovered it was Green, his voice somewhat indifferent. Fortunately, they were amid an invasion of a foreign domain, so they weren’t as confrontational as in the Evil God Playground.
"What brings the Fist King and his great army to my place? Looking for the Leading Elf King is just ahead."
Green sneered, pointing towards Tutu Youhe, his voice carrying a hint of sarcasm.
"You don’t want it?"
Outside the tent, two large groups of Pegasus Beir met, causing chaos across the mountains and fields, all in the euphoric peak of a massive invasion and plunder. Inside the tent, Fist King Tribes frowned slightly beneath the hat, evidently suspicious of Green’s behavior.
"Wa-ga-ga-ga, my Bone Emperor lord eats meat, disliking this grass and flowers."
Xiao Ba stood on the lazy-sitting Green’s shoulder, laughing gaga’gaga. Though unaware of the means the Wizard World employed to establish itself here in the Evil God Playground, it seemed probably eight or nine out of ten of these Evil Gods wouldn’t make it out alive.
These perpetually invading Evil Gods probably never imagined what would go wrong at the rear of the Evil God Playground.
"Heh heh, Thunder Bone Emperor, do you think our invasion is meaningless, driven only by the desire for plunder? You haven’t yet experienced the gifts from the Evil God Playground. Once this invasion concludes, you’ll understand why Pegasus Beir’s world is called the Evil God Playground."
With that, Fist King Tribes turned and walked out of the tent, his voice lingering, melancholic and deep.
"The Full Moon Gate nears its end, and even this Thunder Bone Emperor is wary of the Leading Elf King; let’s hope other Evil Gods arrive here. The three World Masters and some unknown entities have laid some measures in place, this world being significantly stronger than the one we invaded last time, though a month and a half remain short."
As Fist King Tribes left, Green’s Three-Colored Light Eyes narrowed tightly, worldly gifts!? Could it be that the Evil God Playground could gather so many wandering Evil Gods for reasons beyond those attributed to Pegasus Beir, possessing certain unique rules of this world?
...
Advancing to Level Five Stigmata, Green’s magic power easily sustained the simultaneous appearance of four Avatars of the Source of Oblivion.
Each avatar bore Green’s physical strength, and with the current bodily physique Green achieved after unlocking the fifth layer of Wild Instinct Transformation, these avatars could even surpass some weakest World Masters.
Now, the four avatars were sent by Green to various corners of the Nether Flower World, searching for any trace of the Netherworld Spirit King.
One particular avatar had early on secretly followed the Calamity Evil Gods’ footsteps, setting on a path to pursue the Nether Spirit King, hoping to trace some hints from the Elf King’s side.
Suddenly, the Bone Giant, who was steadily following the remnants of the Pegasus Beir ruins, stopped.
"What, are the Calamity Evil Gods afraid this avatar will seize their resources?"
In the shadows, a Shadow Blade silently pierced the chest of the Oblivion Source Avatar, its eyes widened in disbelief, seemingly awaiting the moment the blade is pulled out, marking its end.
"Why does your true body pay so much attention to me?"
The voice was inscrutable and intangible, with no discernible direction. Green’s Oblivion Source Avatar clutched the sword tip of the emerging Shadow Blade at his chest tightly, fingers trembling.
"Because... we hail from the same world. I never expected your concealed strength could deceive my Face of Truth, being so powerful."
The Shadow Blade paralyzed Green’s body, each breath laden with unfathomable pain, the absence of any sensation behind rendering Green unable to turn his head to uncover the truth.
A moment of oppressive silence followed; this powerful Abyss Stigmata Knight evidently hadn’t known of this beforehand, equally unwilling to accept it.
"Where are you from, and why have you come to the Evil God Playground?"
The Sword of Shadows tentatively queried.
"The Oblivion Tower, Second Ring Holy Tower. Earlier, assigned to transport supplies from the Ancient Dragon Great World to the Netherfire World. A Metal Destroyer Dominator attacked the Netherfire World, with some stationed Wizards dying and others escaping. I, by accident, came to the Evil God Playground from a chunk of randomly connected World Fragments. The path back is likely unreachable now."
After Green’s Oblivion Source Avatar responded, the blade at his chest vanished; looking down, surprisingly no wound existed there!
Upon lifting his head, directly ahead, a knight clad in armor about 1.7 meters tall revealed himself standing, exhibiting a power still of Level Five, but the instantaneous feeling just experienced with Green was absolutely more than that.
"How many beings have you killed in this world?"
This mysterious powerful knight, once visible, asked such a question.
"Not many, perhaps a few thousand."
These were creatures from the Nether Flower World accidentally killed by Green due to his exceedingly formidable strength. Sometimes employing force would inevitably lead to extensive casualties, an unavoidable fact.
"Remember, you must refuse the gift offerings from the Evil God Playground; otherwise, the easily gained power may seduce you, altering the very origin of the Wizard World, gradually merging with the Evil God Playground. Once the Full Moon Gate closes, you won’t be able to leave that world, inevitably becoming the Evil God Playground’s tool, continuously plundering surrounding worlds to sustain its perpetuity."
Alter the origin of life!?
Green’s Three-Colored Light Eyes’ pupils contracted abruptly; so, these Evil Gods long ago melded with the Evil God Playground, becoming its masters, not merely wandering Evil Gods.
Every time the Evil God Playground opened the Full Moon Gate, it excessively consumed the World’s Heart’s origin, a depletion surpassing even the damage to the Heart of the Wizarding World, but the Evil God Playground’s Full Moon Gate nurtured special rules, able to benefit itself by plundering other worlds, passing a fraction back to the plunderers.
Silently, Green’s Oblivion Source Avatar nodded.
"After the war, I wish to meet the Netherworld Spirit King of this world."
"Contact the Soul-Dispersing Grass Stigmata Grand Sorcerer at that time; he will arrange it for you."
The knight was already turning around, gradually walking away, as if this interaction had never occurred.
"What’s going on with the Sorcerer’s enemy in the Evil God Playground?"
Unable to refrain, Green’s Oblivion Source Avatar queried about the lingering puzzle. Why had the Wizard Legion abandoned their planned descent onto the Nether Flower World, using some method to redirect the Sorcerer’s enemy towards the Evil God Playground instead?
"This time, the change in plan came suddenly from the Seven-Ring Holy Tower. Details require knowledge from the Seven Rings True Spirit Sorcerer, perhaps involving a mighty world known as the Purgatory Giant."
