A Sorcerer’s Journey
Chapter 1106 - 1108: War of Civilizations (5)
"Green."
Although he had already ascended to a Fifth-Level Stigmata Wizard, casting a large-scale destructive spell like Falling Star still placed a significant burden on Green. His body slightly swayed, and Lulianmian quickly moved to support him. However, Green steadied himself with the extreme abyss magic staff, let out a muffled grunt, and took out a potion, gulping it down in one go.
Whew...
With a gentle sigh, the symptoms of void after the magic surged were effectively alleviated. Supported by the continuous supply from the Source of Magic Power, Green gradually recovered.
"Be careful, there should already be Black Terminators mixed in here. The number of Curse Wizards is still too few, and they are low-level ones, unable to resist those Black Terminators at all."
As a low-level Demon Hunter Dark Wizard who had steadily climbed the ranks, Green understood well the terror when those Curse Wizards discovered the hidden disguises of the Black Terminators.
The fear was that once the disguise of the Black Terminators was uncovered, the first to die would likely be the Curse Wizards themselves. Therefore, many Curse Wizards, even if they discovered it in time, would not report it immediately.
Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom...
Even though two Fifth-Level Stigmata Wizards had used large-scale beneficial magic to briefly halt the advance of the Robot Legion, these metal life forms, lacking emotional fluctuations, fear of death, or evasive luck, were relentlessly bombarded by the defending Wizard Legion as they advanced step by step, falling from the sky.
Some Dark Wizard Corps, skilled in creating fear and causing enemies to fall into negative states, found that in front of these Metal Robot Legions, their combat effectiveness was even inferior to that of ordinary Light Wizards. Like mighty beasts roaming around regular legions, they possessed strong individual combat power but rarely posed a threat to the Legion-fighting Robots and even dared not approach easily.
Rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble...
Several beams of dazzling light erupted, space collapse ripples spreading tens of thousands of meters. Within the collapse, irresistible attraction forces mercilessly pulled in several battle arrays of the Demon-Hunting Light Wizard Corps, like a black hole devouring everything. After short-lived screams, nothing was left, only chaotic space ripples tearing at elemental rules, wave after wave spreading.
The very thing Green feared most happened!
The Strategic Spatial Collapse Destruction Bomb, which Green had already witnessed the destructive power of during his time as a Third-Level Great Sorcerer in the Decayed World, was a weapon regularly deployed by the Metal Destroyer Legion. It posed little threat to World Masters and Stigmata Wizards, but for Slave Legions and low-level Wizard Corps battle formations, it would be a cataclysmic barrage.
"Scatter, everyone scatter!"
Green’s roar almost simultaneous with the combat command center of the fortress. Dark Wizards accustomed to independent survival fared somewhat better, but Demon-Hunting Light Wizards, used to the camp of the secret combat formations, found it almost impossible to disperse quickly.
And at this moment, the second wave of Strategic Spatial Collapse Destruction Bombs from the distant Metal Robot Legion was already mid-flight, numbering in the hundreds. If allowed to carry out a blanket attack, it would be enough to obliterate the Wizard Legion responsible for defending here, the Slave Sea Legion, and the Puppet Legion, rendering the second line of defense Zone 258 that Green was responsible for, a mere name.
Unaware of how the other space fortresses chose to respond to the crisis, Green, surrounded by Seven-Colored Runes in the Ivory Armament state, rapidly chanted sorcery spells in the air. After a squirm, four identical Green figures split off, the Oblivion Source Avatars.
"This is trouble."
Green muttered lowly, as the four Oblivion Source Avatars, each with different expressions, charged forward, transforming repeatedly along the way, becoming the kilometer-long Three-Headed Six-Armed Ancient Chi Demon. With Green’s true body’s passive evolutionary strength, these Oblivion Source Avatars had reached the Fifth-Level Creature tier!
At the same time, summoning the Wizard’s Will, the vast Slave Sea Legion and the Mechanical Puppet Legion charged forward heedlessly, intercepting the destructive Strategic Spatial Collapse Destruction Bombs, while the Wizard Legion retreated, preserving their living strength.
Rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble, rumble...
Under Green’s forces, the millions strong Slave Legion and Mechanical Puppet Legion were instantly engulfed by the Strategic Spatial Collapse Destruction Bomb, a sprawling destructive force scattering fragments across the sky.
"Gone, it’s all gone..."
The Wizard Legion, directed to the rear of the battlefield, watched as the Slave Sea Legion and Mechanical Puppet Legion ahead were wiped out in an instant by hundreds of Strategic Spatial Collapse Destruction Bombs. The Robot Legion, like a torrent of steel, continued to advance with unwavering steps. The loss of void motherships at the front was quickly replaced from the back, pressing forward unyieldingly, their target the most deeply sealed area of the Celestial Base.
The base had a total of four lines of defense. If the second line were breached so easily, reaching the third line, the base would be plunged into jeopardy.
In that moment, Green’s mind was a whirlwind. In the second line of defense, other space fortresses sustained losses even greater than Green’s, with the first Trick Crystal Terminator encountered locked in fierce combat with the Three-legged Raven of Death and two otherworldly summoned creatures, the battle unimaginably fierce, with astonishing energy fluctuations resonating from afar in the sky.
If only I could seal this Trick Crystal Terminator...
The thought barely formed before Green suppressed it completely.
To seal a Trick Crystal Terminator, Green would have to open his self-sealing state, creating a slim chance, but whether successful or not, Green would undoubtedly face a period of total weakness. Especially after demonstrating formidable might to attract the Metal Robot Legion’s attention, this would be tantamount to courting death!
Moreover, compared to individual greed and desire, this war concerned the life and death of the Civilization War Sorcerer World. Even if Green was just one screw in the machinery, he had to hold his position, persisting to the final moment.
On the battlefield, occasional discordant scenes appeared, sometimes under the very noses of Stigmata Wizards, the presence of Black Terminators, which occasionally were even more terrifying than Trick Crystal Terminators.
Green utilized the Face of Truth to quickly gather battlefield information. The overall assault from the Robot Legion was drawing ever closer. How exactly to respond would require Green, the decision-maker, to collect more comprehensive battlefield information to make the most rational decision.
Hmm!?
Indeed, after this thorough observation, from the apparent disadvantage that ordinary Wizards could only see, Green noticed some glimmer of hope.
It was a vision outside the battle lines, where the breach in the first line overrun by the metal legion’s torrent was being reinforced by numerous more capable frontline Wizards, including some newly developed methods that had yet to be widely introduced, devised by the Wizard World since the start of the Civilization War to combat the Metal Destroyer Civilization.
Additionally, substantial reinforcements came from the rear of the base, including a familiar Sixth-Level Stigma Mechanical Grand Sorcerer!
"All Wizards, heed my command, launch an all-out attack! For the Wizard’s Will, stand your ground to the last moment, no one can retreat, deserters will be treated as betrayers of the Wizard’s Will, punished by death!"
With an indisputable chilling tone, Green issued the most ruthless order for a death defense to all the Wizard Legions under his command.
