Abyss Summoner
Chapter 508 - 496: Demon Descendant Zor
Strange sounds seemed to emerge in the surroundings, and then ripples appeared in the fissure. The acrid scent of sulfur mixed with fresh blood wafted into the noses of everyone.
A Demon appeared before everyone.
It looked like an eight-foot-tall Dark Elf, with jet-black skin and thick white hair tinged with yellow. Their skin was incredibly tough, covered with a layer of fine white hair, and their body was filled with bulging muscles.
It had four hands, the larger pair above bore sharp claws, while the smaller pair below were identical to its mother’s—Demon Descendant Zor could use these hands to cast Magic.
Its beast-like face protruded forward, forming a snout akin to a dog’s, with a mouth full of sharp teeth.
Enchanting Demon.
Also known as Demon Descendant Zor.
This was a rather unique type of Demon.
It was a terrifying Half-Purgatory creature from the Dark Realm, born of the union between a Dark Elf and a powerful Demon.
There weren’t many taboos in the Abyss, and for the Dark Elf race, bearing offspring for Demons was quite a common occurrence.
Generally, the birth of these Half-Purgatory creatures was usually accidental, but perhaps the Demon Descendant Zor was the only kind that was intentionally and regularly created by mortal races through rituals.
All of this was part of Rose’s plot.
Rose was committed to strengthening her land and creating powerful followers. One has to admit, Rose was undeniably a successful researcher.
Whether it was the Wax Melting Demon, the Demon Hunting Spider, or the Demon Descendant Zor before them, they were all terrifying creatures created by her own hand.
The Demon Descendant Zor loved slaughter, and could rush into battle without any fear. Although they had some degree of intelligence, they were neither adept at nor patient enough for strategizing. Due to their love for the sensation of tearing enemies apart with fangs and claws, most of them abandoned weapons to fight barehanded.
The most terrifying part was that they not only inherited their sire’s fearsome melee prowess but also possessed the formidable spellcasting abilities of the Dark Elf.
Upon reaching adulthood, they could wield Dancing Light Skill, Desecration Skill, Demon Fire Skill, Evil Shadow Strike; these four types of Magic, and in addition to that, they were immune to Poison and all sleep effects.
As for the birth of a Demon Descendant Zor, it was an absurd process.
The Dark Elves had their own cities, much like humans, and in their territories, there were academies to train quality Warriors. At graduation, a frightful desecration ritual would be held during the ceremony. The Dark Elf graduating with the highest marks of the cohort would summon an Enchanting Demon and then mate with it. In rare cases, this Dark Elf would become pregnant and subsequently give birth to a Demon Descendant Zor.
The Dark Elves viewed the birth of the Demon Descendant Zor as a special blessing from Rose, symbolizing that the Spider Goddess’ Divine Queen favored this young Dark Elf.
Demon Descendant Zor.
The creature she now summoned was a descendant with the bloodline of both a Dark Elf and an Enchanting Demon. Perhaps due to its rarity, every Demon Descendant Zor in the tribe held supreme authority.
From birth, they were granted the status of a Priest, and as they grew step by step, they became Rose’s most loyal Guardians.
The Abyss cannot be viewed with common logic, for it was filled with too many incomprehensible forbidden lives.
The Demon Descendant Zor stood still and first surveyed the surrounding crowd before finally resting its gaze on Lu Wei, feeling the aura of a Devil.
Lu Wei clearly sensed a murderous intent. It seemed that at any moment this suddenly appeared creature would strike to kill him, making Lu Wei somewhat nervous. Instinct told him that this was a formidable opponent.
Piece by piece, white bone protruded from his body. Lu Wei could not sit idly by, and should the opponent truly charge at him, he would instantly take defensive measures.
"Ahem!"
Chen Feng coughed discontentedly.
He had summoned the Demon Descendant Zor not for a civil conflict. He needed to remind it of its true purpose for descending here.
The Demon Descendant Zor shifted its gaze away from Lu Wei. With its considerable intelligence, seeing Lu Wei and Chen Feng standing together, it clearly understood that the latter was not its enemy.
There was just one thing—this powerful "master" had even tamed a Devil? That was a remarkable feat, aside from this, looking around the environment, it didn’t have the inherent harsh conditions of the Abyss, but instead, was filled everywhere with life.
Whether it be an Elf or a Dark Elf, there seemed to be a special fondness for the forest in their bones. This directly influenced the Demon Descendant Zor, and glancing around, it only felt infinitely comfortable and wished it could remain here forever.
"Roar..."
With the leader’s death, the remaining Earth Dragons were on the brink of a rampage, and the appearance of the Demon Descendant Zor only made them more uneasy. From the Zor, they sensed an incredibly evil power.
The Demon Descendant Zor sniffed the surrounding air, like a wild dog’s nose catching the scent of the Earth Dragons’ unease.
At this moment!
The Demon Descendant Zor opened its mouth, revealing not human-like teeth but two rows of dense, sharp fangs, stained with blood and flesh, as if it had just finished feasting.
—Fierce Leap! 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
The Demon Descendant Zor didn’t forget its mission. With a tremor of its legs, it charged forward, flipping over and landing on the head of an Earth Dragon.
Holding two daggers in its hands, like fluttering butterflies, they stabbed into the Earth Dragon’s eyes. The Zor grinned secretly, but the attack wasn’t over yet. With a flick of its wrist, the daggers twisted fiercely in the dragon’s eye sockets, sending it into a frenzy, crashing wildly into everything around it.
The nearby Earth Dragon was taken by surprise, knocked over by its crazed kin. In the instant it fell, the Zor braced its arms against the other’s neck, then with full force, stabbed into it.
The daggers pierced through the gaps in its thick armor, severing the Earth Dragon’s artery.
In just one encounter, the two Earth Dragons were as powerless as paper figures, with no strength to resist.
The remaining two Earth Dragons were frightened. They hadn’t anticipated things would escalate to this point, losing their will to fight, thinking only of escaping as quickly as possible. They feigned an attack and then ran toward the dense forest.
The Demon Descendant Zor didn’t chase after them, merely extending its slender arms like those of a Dark Elf, pointing at the retreating Earth Dragons.
—Desecration Skill!
—Evil Shadow Strike!
The two Earth Dragons hesitated momentarily, as two black rays appeared from the Zor’s hands, engulfing the dragons’ rear.
Silently, they died. Perhaps it happened too suddenly, but even in death, they seemed to continue their running motion, crashing into tree trunks the next second.
Lu Wei stood nearby, his pupils narrowed to a thin line. Although he could kill these Earth Dragons himself, it would have taken some time.
But he didn’t expect the Demon Descendant Zor to wipe them out so swiftly.
Despite their similar strength, Lu Wei’s combat skills were far lacking; after all, he inherited only the Bone Demon’s abilities, not its memories.
Every Demon Descendant Zor is a seasoned fighter, trained from childhood as an heir, possessing a unique set of skills.
Having completed its mission, the Zor turned around, silently nodding at Chen Feng. It had fulfilled its duty and could leave, yet it approached Chen Feng slowly.
Witnessing the Zor’s methods, the warriors cautiously placed their hands on their weapons, ready to kill the creature if it posed a threat to Chen Feng!
The Zor reached Chen Feng, with an unsatisfied expression, it sliced its finger with a dagger and let the blood drip onto Chen Feng’s clothing.
"Remember my blood. You can summon me if needed!"
Chen Feng was slightly stunned; it was the first time he received such a gift despite summoning for so long.
Similar to [Essence Blood], it would increase mutual affinity, allowing Chen Feng the choice to either summon other demons by chance or use the essence blood to locate and summon the Zor directly.
It seemed the surrounding energy and air made the Zor reluctant to leave, but a few minutes passed quickly. Seeing Chen Feng accept its essence blood, it smiled and stepped into the Abyss.
At this moment, Chen Feng couldn’t help but sigh; once it reached the Golden Tier, the Zor would undoubtedly be an extraordinary figure.
If it indeed had talent, Chen Feng wouldn’t mind giving it a chance. After reaching legendary status, he could have two permanent Summoned Beasts. However, these positions were no ordinary matter, and the Zor needed more than just effort to secure one.
With all five Earth Dragons slain, everyone felt relieved and gained a true understanding of Chen Feng’s extraordinary strength for such a young-looking leader, further igniting the warriors’ enthusiasm.
In the following period, Chen Feng led the group on a brief patrol of the surroundings before returning to camp. Aside from the Earth Dragon leader used for summoning, the other dragons were enough to feast hundreds.
Just as Chen Feng returned to the docking site, the scouts had already returned on standby. Upon seeing Chen Feng, they approached and said gravely, "Master... we’ve discovered human traces in the forest..."
