Chapter 507: Chapter 506: Climax of the War

War was something nobody wanted, but to achieve a goal, one had to go through it.

Over these five days, the humans had battled the demons, with most of them constantly standing on the edge between life and death.

Even with the soldiers joining them, it only improved their situation slightly.

If before they needed ten men just to attempt to kill a demon, now they needed five soldiers.

It was an improvement, one that was clearly in their favor.

Only...

The Peak Rank 0 demons kept summoning more and more demons.

Instead of their numbers decreasing after each battle, they continued to increase.

This completely shattered the humans’ understanding of the war, leaving them confused and filled with questions throughout the five days of fighting.

And now it was the fifth day.

Nuk had originally thought he would still be among the High-Level demons.

Who knew things could change so quickly?

Standing at the rear alongside the other Peak Rank 0 demons, Nuk prepared for their next task.

They were influencing the dome that covered the Super City.

Even though they couldn’t directly manipulate the elements at their level, they could still influence them.

And that was exactly what they were doing.

At the human side, Din took a deep breath.

He didn’t know if he was the only one, but he felt that something was wrong.

Just then...

"Kid..."

Void’s voice sounded in his mind.

"Tell me, do you want to run away like a bitch? Or face death once more?"

Void’s mocking voice echoed before he fell silent.

Din’s expression became tense and heavy, but that wasn’t all.

His fists clenched tightly.

All his life, he had always been at the front.

So why should that change now?

Well, fuck it.

And fuck everything.

"Let’s face death again."

Badum.

His heart pounded.

Then Void went silent.

Deep within Din’s consciousness, Void narrowed his eyes as he looked toward the Azar World of Magi.

A lot had changed over there.

He had only looked away for a moment, and now people were dying left and right.

What the fuck happened?

Then Void saw Linkir’s clone dead body.

And he saw his clone.

Osiris had become cold.

"Wow... I want to watch that."

Void instantly shifted his attention away from Din.

The demon army charged into battle.

Din and the other martial warriors were the first to move.

They leaped into the air, leading the human army.

"RAAARRR!"

Even exhausted.

Even tired.

They didn’t give up.

Their eyes were locked onto the demon race as the two armies collided.

For Din, although he no longer experienced massive jumps in power, his current strength had become more refined with every battle.

Now he could even kill High-Level demons.

And it didn’t seem difficult anymore.

He weaved across the battlefield as severed heads fell in his wake.

The demon army felt it more than ever today.

Martial warriors from the Super City moved out and joined Din and the others, taking the demons by surprise.

But that wasn’t all.

The pressure continued increasing as more and more warriors poured into the battlefield.

The demons were being pushed back.

However, a few hours into the battle, both the soldiers from the Super City and the martial warriors suddenly seemed to receive a signal.

Without warning, they began retreating.

At first, most people didn’t notice.

But soon...

They were all gone.

"Why are they retreating?" a martial warrior and former criminal asked Din as he stood beside him.

Din ripped apart the head of a High-Level demon before replying.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Din turned around.

Then he saw it.

A massive army retreating.

They were running as fast as they could.

Then Void’s words rang through his mind.

"Holy shit..."

Din muttered.

Not only him.

Every human and martial warrior present suddenly felt a chill run down their backs.

Their skin crawled.

Their eyes widened.

Then...

Fire.

A sea of fire.

BOOOOOMMMMM!!!

Explosions echoed endlessly.

Badum.

Badum.

Badum.

A steady heartbeat reverberated within the sea of flames as a silver light spread throughout the inferno.

Meanwhile, even among those who fled, only the strongest High-Level martial warriors managed to escape into Section Four of the Super City.

The rest were consumed by the flames.

The survivors stared at the massive ravine stretching more than ten thousand kilometers in length and plunging countless kilometers deep into the earth.

Their heartbeats accelerated.

Yet at the same time, they felt relieved.

This pestilent demon race had been defeated.

Their only regret wasn’t the human lives that had been lost.

It was that Section Five was gone.

Although the martial warriors felt relieved, the Super City did not.

More and more soldiers poured out.

Sect-chosen sons and daughters.

Talented geniuses.

All of them gathered outside with solemn expressions.

"The main battle is about to begin," a sect elder said.

Crack.

Crack.

BOOM!

The dome shattered.

Everyone sucked in a cold breath.

But that wasn’t all.

The sky itself cracked apart as demons poured from it like a black swarm.

On the other side, the Peak Rank 0 demons moved.

Their auras erupted wildly.

But then...

They all turned toward the sea of fire.

"Handle it," Selene said with a chuckle as she looked at Nuk.

"With pleasure," Nuk replied.

The remaining Peak Rank 0 demons charged toward the now-unprotected Super City.

At the same time, the sect elders and ancestors moved to intercept them.

The two sides collided instantly.

Meanwhile, Nuk remained where he was, staring at the figure within the sea of fire.

"So what should I call you?"

"A god?"

Nuk asked.

He could sense divine energy similar to the angels’ divinity.

Yet this felt purer.

Far purer.

Bam...

The fire was instantly quenched as a being floated into the sky.

His aura spread across the battlefield as a figure shrouded in divine light appeared.

Even the sect ancestors, leaders, and elders who were about to clash with the demons slowed down.

Their expressions changed as they looked at Din, who at this moment was radiating a pure, flawless aura that weighed heavily upon them.

"What have they turned our world into?" a voice echoed across the battlefield.

It was clearly not Din’s voice.

It sounded as though multiple voices were speaking at the same time.

"Heh, the Abyss has just taken an interest in it," Nuk said as he stepped onto the magma-filled ground while the ravine collapsed into itself.

"The Abyss?" a shocked voice rang out, filled with both surprise and confusion.

"What is the Abyss?" the layered voice asked.

"You know..." Nuk chuckled.

"You’ll find out soon enough when I drag your soul there."

"But for now..."

"Have a short spar with me."

BOOM!

The collapsed ravine shattered apart as a massive crack spread across an entire continent.

The sound barrier exploded.

A terrifying shockwave swept outward.

Across the continent, every Peak Rank 0 existence opened their eyes.

Their expressions turned serious.

Din moved.

Light and darkness collided.

BOOOOOOMMMM!!!

The instant they clashed, everything went dark.
