Boom!

The eruption of the mental impact, mixed with the power of death, baffled the spectres that had been launching attacks at Little Zi. To their surprise, she seemed to have become one of them. Bereft of any wisdom, they lost their target and could do nothing but stay dumbfounded. But Little Zi’s thirteen female demons didn’t let this chance pass. With their screeching, they executed the demons’ innate ability to devour, sucking the hapless spectres into their mouths, obliterating them. The energy from the spectres became their own strength, while the power of death was condensed around their bodies. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

Meanwhile, Yake was entangled in a fight with Long Yi and suddenly noticed a significant decrease in the sensation towards the spectres he had just released. Turning his head, he saw Little Zi’s demon avatars actually devouring his spectres!

Damn it! Demons can swallow spectres! And these are self-destructive spectres!

"Roar!"

The Black Dragon roared with fury, and the spectres immediately headed towards Yake. These spectres weren’t just sprung up out of no-where, they came from Hell. Each loss represented one less one. If all were consumed by Little Zi, he would have none left.

But as the Black Dragon roared, Xiaoyou too let out an ear-piercing shriek. The horde of spectres that filled the sky turned around again at her shriek, heading once more in the direction of Little Zi, only to meet their fate as food for the female demons!

These female demon avatars usually drew their energy from Little Zi. Although they had been reduced to mere instincts, their longing for energy and the inherent devouring ability didn’t disappear. With the demons glowing from the surge in energy, they began to transfer their absorbed energy back to Little Zi while gorging again.

Food brings pleasure to any living being, and as it turned out, even undead entities were not an exception.

Yake felt blood rushing to his mouth out of sheer anger! His self-destructing spectres were his ultimate weapon, sufficient for annihilating a large number of Dragon Riders in any future war. And today, every last one of them was being devoured by Little Zi and her avatars!

Then, there came a mournful cry.

Elsewhere, the Corpse Dragon, its wings tattered and torn, plummeted heavily to the ground. Above, Bajie, bearing some wounds, roared with wrath, making a steep descent. The Corpse Dragon looked up to spit out a jet of blood at Bajie, but with its belly ripped open by Bajie, and its stomach gushing blood, it was unable to do anything.

Bajie abruptly landed on the Corpse Dragon’s body with such force that it shattered the dragon’s spine. Bajie then widened its jaws and bit off the dragon’s wings in two swift bites.

The Corpse Dragon released a horrifying gust of death’s energy, making Bajie hesitate. But Bajie let out a roar of defiance, his body covered in brilliant runes!

Boom!

The runes burst open, and an unprecedented surge of mana spread out in the most brutal manner, instantly dissipating the previously condensed death energy!

The shockwave of the bursting mana brushed away all the Corpse Dragon’s death energy, and both dragons resumed their brawl. The Corpse Dragon, its form no longer intact, was no match for Bajie: it had its tail stepped on and snapped, its front limb bitten off, and was altogether covered in wounds.

Neither was Bajie unscathed, its carapace on the back had partially fractured, and there were large patches of scale on its front missing, making the blood flow unabated!

Yake, too, witnessed the Corpse Dragon’s unsightly state. He realized that he had been thoroughly fooled by Long Yi. To his dismay, it was not just Xiaoyou; even Bajie could wield mana now! How could he possibly win this fight!

"Corpse Dragon! Self-destruct!"

Yake quickly issued an order. The Corpse Dragon let out a mournful wail as its dragon power concentrated, its abdomen shimmering with light!

"Roar!"

In a fury, Bajie kicked the dragon’s chest and grabbed the dragon’s already battered mouth, pulling it apart.

Boom!

Blazing iron water gushed out of Bajie’s mouth, pouring directly into the Corpse Dragon’s stomach!

The abdomen, which had shimmered with light, was covered by the scorching iron water, and the Corpse Dragon lost its vitality. The skeletal remains began to burn in the hot iron water, turning to ashes.

Roar——

Bajie shouted out a terrifying, long roar to the sky, spitting out sparkling iron water that fluttered all around.

From afar, Little Zi’s demon avatars rushed over.

Several huge ice spears pierced the iron water, releasing the dragon power and the trapped power of death.

The demons, having just devoured countless spectres, were now even more beautiful. Their maid dresses had completely transformed, with dragon power crystallizing into black crystals on the skirt edges which produced a tinkling sound in the wind. They had black crystal shoes on their previously bare feet, made entirely of condensed dragon power!

The death power was being transmitted to Little Zi. An ordinary demon would gradually become insane and murderous if it absorbed death power. Only a powerful demon like Little Zi could remain unaffected by death power.

"Here comes another one!"

Up in the sky, the Dragon Clan council was in complete chaos! Xiaoyou had been continually performing fighting aura techniques against Yake’s Black Dragon. And now, Bajie, the Demon Abyss Dragon, was actually bursting out mana!

"However, it feels like it’s struggling to bring out its mana. It seems not to completely control these forces..." remarked a councilor with curiosity.
