After Being Cheated On, I Became My Ex's Uncle's Pampered Sweetheart
Chapter 171: Do You Hate Me Already?
Eve Vaughn felt wronged and hated being falsely accused. Although she could have loudly protested, she didn’t dare be too brazen in the face of Mason Lawson’s powerful aura.
So, she grumbled in discontent, "If you don’t tell me, how am I supposed to know what I did wrong?"
Mason Lawson enunciated each word, "I was only gone for a few days, and you’ve already gotten yourself thrown in a police station again. And you still think you’ve done nothing wrong? Eve Vaughn, if I recall correctly, this is the second time."
Eve was startled and asked subconsciously, "How did you know?"
After all, the police had let them go that night after they paid the compensation. It hadn’t caused a big stir.
’How could word of this have reached Mason Lawson’s ears?’
Then she heard Mason say darkly, "Because I’ve already changed your guardian to myself in your student advisor’s records. She notifies me of any disturbance."
Eve finally understood. She said pensively, "Don’t tell me the police used my registration info to find my advisor? But my advisor never even came to talk to me!"
"Is that the point?"
Mason stared at her and said, "Eve Vaughn, you really think you’re an unbeatable fighter now, don’t you? You can start a fight anywhere. Do you still look like a good student? Do good students end up in the police station every other day like you?"
Eve said indignantly, "But the people I fight are people who deserve it! What’s wrong with punishing evil? So what if I end up at the station? The police officers will always prove my innocence!"
The car arrived at the house, and Mason Lawson pulled her out.
As soon as they entered, he said to Mrs. Linton, "You may leave for now. Don’t come in without my permission."
Hearing this, Eve instantly grew tense.
"Wh-what are you going to do?"
The young woman watched him warily. She had just thought of running when he dragged her onto the sofa.
Eve Vaughn clutched her clothes tightly, terrified he would lose control and turn into a beast.
’After all, for her, that kind of thing should only happen when the feelings are deep and things progress naturally.’
’It shouldn’t be used as a means of punishment.’
But to her surprise, Mason Lawson didn’t pull at her clothes. Instead, just like last time, he pulled her over, made her lie face down on his lap, and pulled down her pants.
Realizing what he intended to do, the young woman, her face flushed with shame and fury, kicked her legs and shouted, "Mason Lawson, let me go! You can’t do this to me!"
"Can’t? You’re telling me I can’t?"
Mason mercilessly smacked her bottom and said, "Before I left, I told you to be good. Why did you have to get yourself into the police station? What did I tell you last time?"
Humiliated and furious from the spanking, the young woman cried, "What was I supposed to do? Some people are just unreasonable! I tried to talk to her nicely, but she wouldn’t listen! If I hadn’t stepped in, she would have beaten Senior Shaw to death!"
"So you really think you’re some kind of savior now!"
After saying this, Mason fiercely smacked her bottom twice more.
However, as he looked at the red marks he had left, a look of desire gradually surfaced in the man’s eyes.
The young woman was still crying, resisting stubbornly and protesting loudly, "Mason Lawson, let go of me! I’m never speaking to you again!"
Her bottom ached, and so did her heart.
Eve Vaughn continued her accusations, "You always blame me indiscriminately like this! Why is it my fault? It was obviously Nina Steele’s mother who went too far. She was the one who started it!"
Only then did Mason Lawson turn her over, sitting her on his lap to face him.
The man’s expression softened slightly. He used the pad of his thumb to wipe the tears from her cheeks and asked in return, "So, she threw a punch, and you threw one back? Getting into a fight with a shrew, and even getting yourself taken to the police station—you don’t find that beneath you at all?"
"How is it beneath me?" Eve Vaughn sniffled. "Senior Shaw even said I was amazing. Besides, weren’t you the one who told me to be friends with her? I can’t just watch her get beaten up and not do anything, can I?"
Mason said sternly, "I’ve told you before, don’t be impulsive. If you can guarantee you won’t get dragged into the mud yourself, then you can make a move. But has there ever been a time when you didn’t get implicated? This time, Regina Shaw paid to settle things. Last time, I had to step in and clean up your mess. What about next time?"
Eve Vaughn was finally rendered speechless by his words.
She sighed softly. A moment ago, she had been feeling quite pleased with herself for subduing a shrew.
But now, it seemed there was nothing to be happy about.
Mason stroked her hair, his tone laced with helplessness and worry. "I can’t always be with you, and I won’t always know when something happens to you. You’re just too much to worry about."
However, to Eve Vaughn, his words meant something else entirely.
It was as if he was telling her that sooner or later, the day would come when they would be apart.
Eve Vaughn’s expression grew desolate. She said, aggrieved, "The moment you come back, you get angry with me. Are you starting to hate me? Do you think I’m a troublemaker who’s always causing problems for you?"
Mason took the opportunity to wrap his arms around the young woman’s waist, pulling her closer until their foreheads were touching.
The bridge of his high nose brushed almost imperceptibly against the tip of hers.
His voice was low and husky, carrying an irresistible tenderness. "So tell me, did you miss me, hmm?"
Eve Vaughn gradually tensed up as his breath traveled down inch by inch, landing on her neck. It tickled, making her feel an exquisite ’discomfort’.
She shifted, but Mason Lawson held her fast.
But the thought of him spanking her just moments ago filled her with shame and anger. She said huffily, "Let go of me! You hurt me so much just now, and now you want to take advantage of me? Not a chance!"
The man chuckled, then suddenly swept her up into his arms and strode toward the bedroom.
The moment they were in the room, he placed her on the large, soft bed.
The man’s long, lean body followed, pressing down on top of her.
After so many deep explorations, he knew her sensitivities by heart.
With just a few deft teases, the young woman was already overwhelmed, whimpering nonstop.
Just as she tried to press closer to him, Mason Lawson deliberately pulled back.
Gazing into the young woman’s hazy eyes and seeing her caught in that state of limbo, the man nibbled her earlobe and asked, "Tell me again, do you want this or not?"
