Dusk gradually descended.

Looking at the blurry words on the document before him, Luo Ke frowned and lifted his face.

Knock, knock, knock!

Outside the door, a knocking sound echoed.

"Come in!"

The butler walked in respectfully, "Sir, due to aging wires in the restroom, a short circuit occurred, burning out the power generation device. It will take more than two hours to fix everything."

Luo Ke glanced at the clock, "How long can the backup power last?"

"If we power the entire island, at most one hour," the butler replied.

Luo Ke pondered briefly, "Temporarily supply electricity only to the villa."

"Yes!"

"Have Mr. ROY and Roselia returned?" Luo Ke asked again.

The butler remained standing, his voice humble, "Not yet, sir."

Luo Ke’s expression darkened slightly; it had been several hours, and they weren’t back yet. It was just four people, how could they be unable to handle it?!

"I heard Mr. ROY and Miss Roselia were conducting a hunting competition and intentionally released those four intruders into the forest on the back of the mountain," the butler explained.

Luo Ke raised an eyebrow, slightly displeased.

These two bastards, playing again?!

However, hearing the butler’s explanation, his initial worries were put aside.

He knew best how strong ROY and Roselia were. If they were on the job, it was impossible for their opponents to escape. It’s just that by letting them into the forest first and then hunting, it surely takes more time. From what he knew, these two might even sabotage each other; perhaps they’ve already taken care of the intruders, fooling around in the forest.

As for those four intruders, Luo Ke didn’t take them seriously.

There were dozens of subordinates on the island; handling four people was as easy as flipping a hand.

"If they return, have them see me immediately."

"Yes, sir."

"What did the lady want for dinner?"

He lowered his gaze to the document before him; only the last page remained, and he would be done.

"The madam said... she wanted dumplings," the butler replied softly.

"Then make them for her," Luo Ke said indifferently.

"But..." the butler hesitated for a moment, "The person who went to fetch the chef hasn’t returned yet!"

Bang!

The document in Luo Ke’s hand fell onto the desk with a crisp sound.

"Why?"

"The wind is strong, and the power system is damaged, so the aircraft guidance system can’t be used, and we had to rely on boats," the butler responded.

The island is three hours away by boat from the mainland; due to poor weather and power system issues, the aircraft cannot take off, making a round trip by boat takes seven hours. Adding the time to find the chef, Luo Ke ordered it at noon, but having a Chinese chef for dinner is completely impossible.

"Have the kitchen prepare some light dishes for the lady, no seafood, just fruits and vegetables along with some staples," Luo Ke said as he abruptly closed the document, standing up from the chair. "Tell him, if the lady doesn’t eat again tonight, throw him into the ocean!"

The butler swallowed, "Yes, sir!"

Luo Ke irritably waved his hand, and the butler immediately tiptoed out of the room.

No longer in the mood to deal with documents and work, Luo Ke got up and walked out of the study, arriving at Luo Xiaoqian’s room door, grasping the doorknob, gently twisting it.

The door opened silently.

Inside, Luo Xiaoqian had already woken from her nap, standing on the balcony at the moment, her arms crossed, looking at the sea view.
