Zhong Ye and Zhong Wan sat on the stools in silence. The Xia family members ignored them and they really could not come up with a conversational topic. Zhong Ye gave Zhong Wan a look. There were only female members of the Xia family in the room. How would a man like him know how to interact with these women?

Zhong Wan moved the stool forward and looked at the needlework in Xu Lan’s hand. “Auntie, this task is really very straining on the eyes. Why don’t you get a helper to do it? Our family’s helper is quite skilled with her hands. I’ll ask her to do it and then send it back to you when she’s done.”

Finally, here came a man he could converse with. Otherwise, he was about to suffocate to death. Who had so much time to chat with a bunch of women!

“Are you here to return the thing?” Xia Wen asked bluntly.

The thing? What was the thing? What did they need to return to the Xia family?

Xia Wen frowned slightly. Although his divorce with Tan Jing was already a foregone conclusion, they were not divorced yet! Husband and wife were supposed to be one and the same. This was like a slap in the face for him and Tan Jing.

“Is that so? Then do you find my younger brother’s two bottles of medicinal wine tasty? You’re such a seasoned drinker. I wonder if you have any insights?” Xia Wen said brashly.
