All Worlds Beg the Villainess to Act Like a Human
Chapter 419: Formidable Boss Protects Her Daughter Online (11)
Luo Jianying and Liu Chengxi did not come to the hospital to pick anyone up. Jiang Jinghan seemed used to it, following beside Liu Wenbin.
Liu Wenbin was still trying to speak positively about Luo Jianying: "I told mom about it. She should be at home preparing food."
When they returned home, however, all they saw was leftover food. Jiang Jinghan felt a kind of unspeakable grievance in her heart.
Luo Jianying rolled her eyes at Jiang Jinghan. Qiann Yan noticed her face was slightly swollen, probably from being hit by Liu Chengxi.
Liu Wenbin was also a bit embarrassed. He had confidently said his mom was cooking, yet now there were just cold pots and pans, with only leftovers to eat. He looked at Qiann Yan, somewhat fearfully.
"Doesn’t Little Han have a great mom? Why would she need me, her mother-in-law, to do anything?" Luo Jianying mocked, looking at Qiann Yan. "If you look down on the Liu Family, then don’t live here."
Jiang Jinghan’s face went pale, realizing this was Luo Jianying’s way of sowing discord.
She looked at Liu Wenbin. Liu Wenbin also seemed in a dilemma and finally said to Luo Jianying, "Mom, Little Han just gave birth. Don’t be angry. Please be more forgiving, okay?"
"Your wife is really something, always running to her family for everything. The Liu Family can’t afford such a daughter-in-law. The Liu Family only has you as its sole offspring, yet she can’t even give birth to a son. Isn’t she trying to cut off the Liu Family’s line?"
"If she has her mom to rely on, then she should live at her parents’ home forever. If she finds this place distasteful, then don’t stay here."
Luo Jianying’s attitude was very clear, absolutely not welcoming Jiang Jinghan to stay at the Liu Family.
Song Qianyan fought her and spread rumors. That’s a sort of in-law she wanted nothing to do with. If the other party was so ruthless, then she would throw the daughter out and see who ends up embarrassed.
"Wenbin, I’m telling you today, as long as I, Luo Jianying, am in this house, Jiang Jinghan cannot enter through that door."
Liu Wenbin looked very troubled. He tried to pull Luo Jianying, but she was strong-willed and didn’t budge.
He turned to look at Jiang Jinghan, and then at Qiann Yan, finally casting a resentful glance at Qiann Yan.
Jiang Jinghan, seeing Liu Wenbin’s gaze, felt full of anger. She couldn’t bear to leave Liu Wenbin’s affections, yet she wondered what he meant by blaming her mom?
"Little Han, what are you thinking now?" Qiann Yan asked.
Jiang Jinghan pressed her lips together, looking steadily at Liu Wenbin: "What will you decide?"
"Little Han, mom is just angry now. Maybe wait until she cools down and then..."
Jiang Jinghan interrupted Liu Wenbin, her mind suddenly recalling past grievances, and exploded: "It’s always like this. You always stand on her side. Have you ever thought about me? Is it my fault this time too?"
"What’s the point of fussing? As long as I, Luo Jianying, am here, you will not enter this door." Luo Jianying was smug, believing she held the Jiang Family’s mother and daughter by their weak spot.
Being thrown out by one’s mother-in-law is utterly humiliating.
No matter how capable Song Qianyan was, in the end, she’d have to bow her head and comply.
Qiann Yan held the child in one arm and grabbed Jiang Jinghan with the other: "Come home with me."
Jiang Jinghan felt quite torn. The tradition etched in her bones was hard to let go of. Being driven out was truly shameful, something that made it hard to hold one’s head up.
"Little Han, you’re currently breastfeeding. I’ve checked, if they drive you out without supporting you, it’s against the law."
Jiang Jinghan paused, then remembered such a rule: "Mom."
"It’s not your fault, there’s nothing shameful about it. If anyone is to be embarrassed, it should be Luo Jianying." Qiann Yan continued, "With her doing this to your face, can you still live here?"
"Do you think Liu Wenbin, who seems nice to you, can actually protect you?"
"Little Han, is this the life you want?"
For a moment, Jiang Jinghan was stunned. From her upbringing, Qiann Yan’s words felt rebellious. But as she heard them, her heart began to open.
If she continued to stay here, keeping her head down, she might go crazy.
Qiann Yan held Jiang Jinghan’s hand and led her out of the Liu Family.
Jiang Jinghan looked up at the blue sky, suddenly feeling as if the whole world had brightened up.
She looked at Qiann Yan beside her and suddenly realized her mother’s complexion seemed better. Was it an illusion? Compared to that day’s haggard look, she appeared even a bit younger.
She remembered something: "Mom, will dad agree?"
Thinking of the man who went crazy and beat people when he drank, Jiang Jinghan felt some fear. As a child, she was often beaten, although she wasn’t hurt too badly because her mom protected her.
Qiann Yan revealed a satisfied expression. In fact, Jiang Jinghan wasn’t beyond redemption. She just lacked support and wasn’t confident about stepping away from the Liu Family, fearing a misstep might lead to a free fall.
"He can’t beat me."
Jiang Jinghan was stunned, not able to grasp the meaning of "can’t beat."
