Overjoyed, I ran towards him and hugged him tight, but he pushed me away roughly, nearly knocking me off balance.
"What the fuck do you think youāre doing, lady?" he glared at me, eyeing me from head to toe.
My eyes narrowed slightly. What the hell was he talking about? He had long dark hair, green eyes, was tall and muscular, with an intense demeanorāthis man was my fucking husband!
"Razor... itās me, Isabella, your wife."
His men began to laugh at me, but he didnāt laugh. He just stared at me intensely with a disgusted expression.
"Mommy, why did you call him Razor? Is he my daddy?" Nathan asked excitedly.
"Whoa, whoa, kid. Iām not your daddy. I donāt remember getting married and having a son..."
"Razor... you really donāt remember? Youāre Razor King, the alpha of the Bloody Skull pack in Upperville."
"Bloody Skull pack? Alpha? What is this, some kind of werewolf lore?" he taunted, and they began to laugh again. "Listen, lady, Iām not Razor whatsoever. Iām Gray Knights, and Iām not from Upperville. And werewolves donāt exist."
I stared at him in disbelief. Did this mean he lost his memory and perhaps his wolf too?
"You have your son now, please leave."
"But youāre my daddy!" Nathan pouted at him. For a moment, he seemed touched, but his jaw clenched.
"Leave right now, or youāll regret it."
I held Nathanās hand and began walking away, stopping at the entrance. Turning back, I glanced at him to be certain it was him....It was my husband, but why didnāt he recognize me?
Back at the hotel room, I couldnāt stop crying. I just couldnāt believe this. How come he didnāt recognize me... What happened to him? I was glad he was alive, but it hurt so much that he didnāt remember his wife and son.
"Mommy, itās alright. Maybe Daddy hit his head somewhere. We just have to make him remember us somehow," Nathan wrapped his little arms around my neck.
"But how do I do that, baby? He doesnāt even want us to be near him," I cried.
I had already informed Cross about it, and he said he was coming over with the rest. I couldnāt wait for them to arrive. Maybe they could offer a solution to this madness.
After dinner, Nathan and I retired to bed, but I couldnāt get my mind off Razor. What could have happened five years ago? I thought Dean said he was dead. He literally said he witnessed it.
In the morning, I got a call from Cross that they were already in Miami and headed for one of Razorās mansions here. I hadnāt wanted to go there because it reminded me so much of him, and I didnāt want to miss him so much.
Nathan and I took a taxi and arrived at the mansion in probably fifteen minutes since it wasnāt far from the hotel.
"Isabella, whatās going on? What did you mean by that?" Cross asked immediately as I stepped inside the living room. Dean and Chris were also present.
I opened my mouth to say something, but all that came out were tears. "Itās alright, come on now," Cross pulled me into a hug, patting my back gently.
"It was him," I pulled away, glancing at all of them. "I saw him. It was Razor, but he didnāt recognize me or Nathan. He doesnāt even remember that heās a werewolf."
"What?" Chris breathed in surprise. "Thatās crazy... but I donāt get it. I thought you saw him get ripped apart," he raised a brow at Dean.
"Yes, I swear I saw it," Dean nodded slowly. "It was his wolf, Iām sure...it was crowded, and they all gathered around him. I could barely see him, but..."
"Maybe he found a way to escape," Cross said. "I mean, heās alive."
"Probably... maybe the dismembered body wasnāt his," Dean agreed.
"What are we going to do? I canāt just leave him out there. I cried. And Nathan... Nathan wants to meet his daddy."
"Donāt worry, Luna, weāre going to get the boss back. We just have to find a way to make him remember us," Chris sighed.
"Can you take us there? I just want to see my brother."
"Alright, Cross, but donāt get your hopes high..." I warned him.

"Itās over there," I pointed at the building.
"Itās kind of a loan shark business," Cross observed, glancing at the signpost.
"Alright, weāre going inside, but it doesnāt seem like theyāre going to let us see him easily," Chris shook his head. "But we still have to try."
"Letās go..." I said.
"Luna, you should have stayed back at the mansion with Dean and Nathan. We donāt want you to get hurt."
"This is my husband weāre talking about, Chris. Iām not going back. Just forget it," I hissed at him before walking ahead of them to the building entrance.
We met two men who cast suspicious glances at us.
"Can we help you?" one of the men asked with curious eyes.
"Uh...we want to borrow or take a loan, something like that..." Cross spoke up.
"Have I seen you somewhere before?" the man asked Cross.
"Exactly, he looks familiar," the other man joined in.
I almost rolled my eyes. Of course he looked fucking familiar because he was Razorās little brother, duh!
"Not that I remember," Cross forced out a smile. "So, can we go in?"
They both looked at each other before clearing the path for us. Cross entered first, and then I attempted to enter, but one of the men held my arm.
"Wait a minute," he sneered, "arenāt you the beautiful weird lady from yesterday with that little boy?"
"Youāre right, Bruce," the other nodded with a wry smile. "It is her. Sorry, missy, you aināt allowed here."
Without warning, I twisted his arm behind his back and knocked him out with my fist while Chris quickly took care of the other one. It was easy since they were just humans.
"Now letās go find my husband," my eyes burned with determination.
