Alpha

Days passed, and each day I left this holding area only to mock these two monsters who had tried to harm Zara. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

They had broken bones, torn out hair, and knocked out teeth, and now I watched as their hands were burned with a blowtorch.

Their bloodcurdling screams brought me only satisfaction. After that, I planned to send them in my personal prison. They would be thrown into our personal prison, and there they would spend the rest of their miserable days, rotting and forgotten.

The ringing of my cell phone interrupted me. Taking it out, I saw it was Hades.

I left him with Kaysir today; he wanted to take turns guarding his Luna.

"Hello!" I put the phone to my ear.

"Sir, our Luna is going. Do you want me to stop them?"

It was as if the air had been ripped from my lungs. She was discharged from the hospital, and quietly at that.

This was her father’s doing; he wanted her as far away from me as possible, like Neptune from Earth. She didn’t call me the Alien from Neptune for nothing.

"No, I’ll be there. Don’t disturb them or cause a scene. Just follow them and keep me updated." I ended the call and called Olfi.

"We need to go." He nodded and led the way. We hurried in the car. I knew her apartment had already been cleared out, but some of her things remained at my villa. Despite everything, I couldn’t bring myself to return them.

Maybe one day she’ll come get them, or, better yet, live with me again. A man can dream, right? It’s not just for girls.

Hades called again. "They’re at the airport, you need to hurry."

The urge to fly and reach her gripped my body, and I clenched my hands. "I’m coming."

Turning to Olfi, I said, "Hurry, we don’t have much time." I didn’t need to tell her twice. The outside world blurred before my eyes, and I watched anxiously as Olfi drove the car like a fighter jet.

As soon as we parked, I jumped out and ran to the VIP area. After passing security, I needed to buy a ticket to get inside, but seeing my desperation, they quickly let me through.

In the distance, I saw her father’s plane. I sped up, and my gaze fell on her. She was just about to climb the steps, and her friend was holding her by the shoulders.

"Zara!!!" I growled at the top of my lungs. She turned and froze, seeing me running toward her.

Her father and brother were standing on the steps of the plane. They also stopped. Zyair’s eyes narrowed, a mixture of hatred and disgust. I stopped right in front of her and exhaled. She smiled weakly, as if expecting me to handle it.

There were bruises on her face, and I knew some of them would leave permanent scars. The rage returned, and I wanted to have another session with this couple in my warehouse.

"You’re leaving without saying goodbye," I asked softly, and she turned to Sophia.

"Give me a few minutes." Sophia squeezed her shoulders before walking away.

"Zara, we have to go." Her father called from ahead, about to go downstairs to join her.

But her brother stopped him. "Let’s get settled, Dad. Zara will be joining us soon."

I respected her brother like hell. The wolf was wise beyond his years. If the situation hadn’t been so complicated, I knew we would have gotten along just fine.

He dragged his father onto the plane. His hateful gaze never left me until he disappeared into the cabin. I knew he was watching me from the window.

Zara closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and turned to me. "You shouldn’t have come, Kana. It’s hard enough for me, and now, seeing you, it’s even harder."

A hurt smile remained on her lips as she tried to hold back her tears.

"Don’t go, Luna. Please!" My heart ached so unbearably that I couldn’t feel anything anymore. It was hard to even breathe with the pressure of emotion on my chest.

I never thought love would destroy me so.

She fidgeted with her gloved hands, hiding the wounds.

"I have to. At least for a while, I don’t want to be here."

I wanted to take a step forward and hug her, hold her close, and tell her everything would be okay. I thought everything would be okay between us, but it would turn out to be a lie.

My life was completely different now. "When will we see each other again?" I asked desperately. I knew I looked so pathetic to her, so clingy, so needy, but I didn’t care.

"Honestly... I don’t know," she sighed, stealthily glancing at the ground.

Her words tore a hole in my heart, and I bled right there on the pavement.

"Don’t tear me away from your life, Zara. I can’t survive this. At least tell me I can see my child. You won’t keep him from me, will you?"

She reached out and gently squeezed mine. My heart sank at her gesture as our gazes met under the stormy January sky.

"I will never separate you from your little Alpha. Come see him when he’s born, but for now...Let me go. Please," she begged, her voice heavy.

I pulled her close, our bodies touching. My arms wrapped around her back, and she pressed her face against my chest.

It didn’t matter who was watching; we simply held each other. I pressed my lips to the top of her head, inhaling her scent, lingering on it. I gave my Blue Rose a long farewell kiss. She was mine, but now I would respect her wishes.

"Fine, but I’ll come for you. And my guards will remain at your home. That’s not even up for discussion," I whispered, and she simply nodded.

"Goodbye! Alien from Neptune," she said tearfully, pulling away from me. Wiping away her tears, she ran to the plane, and I looked at her, defeated.

My phoenix was flying away from me... and there was nothing I could do.

Sophia and I stayed with Zara, comforting her until she fell asleep. Holy took charge of her and decided to stay the night.

"Want to get drunk and look at the stars, like we did when we were kids?" she asked.

It was truly such a day, and it was all I dreamed of.

"Sure, let’s have some wine and sit on the swing on the terrace," Sophia winked at my suggestion.

My phone rang, and I took it out.

It was Kaysir. Zara had told me on the way that Alpha would likely send Kaysir as her personal bodyguard, and we were supposed to go along with it.

This man had saved my sister’s life, and I was more than happy to go along with it.

"Have some wine, and I’ll meet you outside after I answer this call."

Sophia nodded, and I swiped my finger across my phone and answered. "Sir, this is Kaysir speaking. I’ve arrived at your house and would like to begin my duties."

It happened quickly, and he already knew the way to our house. Alpha had real connections now.

I went out to meet him, and Kaysir was very respectful, unlike the other two guards, who spoke little and looked mostly at me.

"Is Luna resting?" he asked worriedly.

"Yes! She is. You should also rest and begin your duties starting tomorrow. I’ll have the housekeeper bring you food and arrange your accommodations." I hoped Dad wouldn’t object too much. Kaysir was the only one he tolerated; if anyone else had arrived, a real war could have broken out outside our house.

"No, no. Alpha has already arranged accommodations for us. There are two of us, and we’ll take turns. I promise we won’t disturb you, but we’ll stay in case the enemies try anything."

Alpha seemed to have thought everything through. "Won’t you be cold?"

"It’s nothing compared to cold, and I have warm clothes." He gestured to his own clothes.

Even after my instructions, Kaysir refused to stay with us or rest, so I asked the housekeeper to bring him some food. He preferred to stand guard outside, so as not to interfere with our daily activities.

"Let me know if you need my help," he said, then stayed outside, and I closed the door to the mansion.

It was cold, but not as terribly as in the city. I headed for the swing on the terrace, where Sophia was waiting for me, an open bottle of wine in her hand. I realized she’d already taken a few sips.

Her hair was loose, her lips wet as she smiled openly at me.

"You took a long time to get here. I was about to finish my drink without you." She thrust the bottle into my hand and patted the seat next to her so I could sit. I plopped down on the swing, the liquid sloshing around in the bottle as I leaned against the soft backrest.
