Unexpectedly, Andesa still left no loophole; that accomplice stood guard on the other side of the square, and they simply had no chance at all.

Brand retreated, biting his lip in frustration, unable to come up with any solution for a moment.

At this point, however, Faina grabbed his hand: "The distance is already very short, why not try the cloak? The duration should be enough!"

Cloak? Brand was stunned, only then recalling Faina must be referring to the cloak given by William.

He felt a bit frustrated, thinking that if it could be used, he would have used it already, and if that cloak was truly as William claimed able to evade the Dragon King's perception, then deceiving Andesa would be a piece of cake.

However——

There were not that many ifs.

He couldn't help but break free from Faina's grip, somewhat suspecting whether this young lady was so frightened that she became stupid, as she should have known the reason initially——or was William's dementia contagious? 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Unexpectedly, Faina grabbed his hand once more and asked: "Hey, do you really think that thing can't be activated? Have you forgotten what I do?"

Brand was taken aback: "What do you do?"

"Noble lady?"

"Go to hell," Faina glared at him with gritted teeth: "Bumpkin, I'm a Demon Swordsman, deciphering Spells is my specialty!"

"Ha?" Brand was truly dumbfounded this time: "You can do this? That thing is at least a Curios from Myth, the Array on it is very different from anything we have now, if I'm correct young lady you don't even have an official rank yet?"

"That's because I'm a noble," the Princess of Floral Leaf Territory said with a disgruntled expression: "I can't possibly participate in the adventurers' guild's job evaluations, besides, as a noble, I learn much more detailed things than ordinary people."

Brand was stunned, suddenly feeling there might genuinely be this possibility. So he stopped, asking for the first time somewhat seriously: "Really possible?"

"I don't know either, have to try." Faina didn't dare to speak too confidently but appeared much more serious talking about her specialty, not as pretentious as before.

Brand nodded, handing over the cloak wrapped around his hand. Faina took the cloak and felt it with her fingers——this was purely physical work, as the cloak was indeed as large as William claimed.

But roughly several minutes later, Faina suddenly exclaimed in surprise——the sound was small, yet it startled Brand so much he almost jumped up; he immediately turned around to look toward the ruins——fortunately Andesa hadn't noticed.

He promptly turned back to glare at Faina, if he wasn't certain it was impossible, he almost suspected this young lady was a standard double agent.

This time, the young noble lady seemed to realize her mistake too, for the first time showing an embarrassed expression, sticking out her tongue at him yet still joyfully mouthing the words to Brand:

"Bumpkin, I've learned the Array on this thing!"

"You've learned it?" Brand's shock quickly turned to joy; he never dreamed of such a coincidental thing. If Faina truly learned it, then finding the activation Spell should not be difficult.

Martha above, he instantly felt that luck hadn't left him just yet.
