American Adventure: My Uncle is Don Quixote
Chapter 193 - 123: Little Head Potion
[Task Reward: Free Attribute Points +0.1]
Looking at the task description and Don Quixote’s hesitant, indignant, and mortified expression, Li Wei instantly understood.
He put down his book, leaned forward, and looked Don Quixote straight in the eye. "Can’t you get it up?" he asked bluntly.
The air instantly froze.
Don Quixote’s face turned beet red. He shot up like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. "Nonsense! Slander! I... My lance is still sharp! I’m just... I’m just..."
He was so flustered he’d started talking like a character from a Knight novel.
Li Wei thought for a moment. He’d heard that losing one testicle shouldn’t have too much of an effect. Don Quixote’s issue was likely psychological ED, coupled with anxiety over a slight physiological decline.
[Eloquent Speech] activated.
"Listen, Uncle," Li Wei persuaded, "you don’t need to worry about this. The body is just a vessel for the will. As long as your Spirit is strong enough, your ’little cannon’ will be indestructible. Anxiety is pointless. You’re in a man’s golden years..."
Li Wei was trying to use the power of his words to directly convince him, to rebuild his confidence.
However, Don Quixote looked up, his gaze still wandering. "No, Li Wei, you don’t understand the anxiety of a man my age. This isn’t a matter of willpower, it’s... it’s a medical problem. I’ve looked it up. After forty-five, the decline in a man’s testosterone levels is irreversible. I might really need to see a doctor, but it’s just too embarrassing..."
Tsk. Li Wei shook his head.
It seemed Don Quixote’s lack of confidence ran too deep. A skill at this level wasn’t enough to convince him.
"Alright," Li Wei deactivated the skill, not pushing any further. "In that case, let me think of something." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
"What could you possibly do?" Don Quixote gave a bitter smile. "You’re just a high school student."
"I’m an athlete," Li Wei said, standing up. He decided to take an indirect approach. "In our circle, there’s always some... ’tech’ that people don’t know about."
...
「The next morning.」
Li Wei returned from his morning run holding a small, unlabeled brown glass bottle. It actually contained standard B-complex vitamin tablets he’d bought from a CVS pharmacy. The pills were a bright yellow, had a strange taste, and looked very convincing.
Don Quixote was sitting at the dining table, drinking black coffee, his face a mask of gloom.
Li Wei walked over and slapped the bottle down on the table with a light CLAP.
"What’s this?" Don Quixote jumped, startled.
Li Wei glanced around to make sure Lily wasn’t up yet, then lowered his voice and leaned in close to Don Quixote’s ear.
Overnight, the usage count for [Eloquent Speech] had refreshed.
"I got this from Coach Miller. It’s a potion for the ’little head’," Li Wei said, spouting utter nonsense with a straight face. "You know, athletes are always using... uh... supplements to maintain their performance."
Don Quixote’s gaze was drawn to the mysterious little bottle. He swallowed hard. "Is this... for football players?"
"That’s right," Li Wei’s voice held a hint of temptation. "This stuff supercharges your adrenaline and testosterone production. Remember, you can only take one at a time."
A DING sounded in his mind.
Don Quixote stared at the bottle, the doubt in his eyes gradually fading.
"Is it really... that powerful?" He picked up the bottle.
"Definitely," Li Wei said, patting his shoulder. "Believe in yourself."
That night, Li Wei didn’t even need to call and ask.
He knew the task was complete the moment the system panel popped up in his mind.

’Maybe I should become a psychologist in my spare time?’ he muttered to himself as he added the free attribute point to his Spirit. "Specializing in men’s health and other difficult cases."
However, the good times didn’t last.
The placebo’s effect wore off much faster than he’d expected.
Just two days later, as Don Quixote was getting ready for another date with Susan, he was once again plagued by anxiety and self-doubt.
"Li Wei, I had a nightmare last night that the potion stopped working," Don Quixote said, standing at Li Wei’s door clutching the vitamin bottle, his face etched with anxiety. "What if I build up a tolerance to it? Don’t all strong drugs like this have a period of diminishing returns?"
Li Wei had to put down his microeconomics homework and sigh helplessly.
Even with the so-called "miracle drug" in hand, Don Quixote’s bone-deep insecurity still sprouted like a weed.
Li Wei had no choice but to activate [Eloquent Speech] again, pairing it with a load of fabricated "sports medicine theory." It took him a full ten minutes to talk Don Quixote’s confidence back up.
’This is too much trouble,’ Li Wei thought, rubbing his throbbing temples as he watched the now-elated Don Quixote leave.
[Eloquent Speech] was useful, but it was more like a one-time stimulant than a long-term cure. Having to waste his breath and skill uses giving mental pep talks every time, Li Wei felt like he was becoming Don Quixote’s personal mental babysitter.
He glanced at his attribute panel.
[Spirit: 2.0]
Li Wei had a feeling. Just as his Strength reaching 3.0 had caused a qualitative change, granting him [Predestined Trajectory]—a body control ability that bordered on causality—if his Spirit attribute could break the 3.0 barrier, he might just gain some kind of deeper mental interference ability.
