Chapter 880: Oceanseal Eight Trigram Formation, Yin-Yang Fish Within The Bronze Basin (II)

Before he could even finish speaking, a strange hum spread through the fishery. It sounded like surging waves, with the iron chains sealing the area vibrating in resonance.

Eight pillars of light shot up from the depths of the sea and enclosed the entire fishery. Then, a massive light curtain spread out from one pillar to the next, enclosing the entire area. The mana inside the enclosure started to fluctuate at a strange pace.

The six Adepts did not waste a single moment taking action. As the strange mana fluctuations reached their senses, they immediately released their own mana to protect themselves.

"A formation!"

"He set this up in advance. Be careful."

"What kind of formation is this? I can feel it suppressing my mana."

"Doesn't matter what it is. Break it first!"

Without hesitation, the six activated their enchanted treasures and struck at the light curtain, while keeping part of their focus on Luo Chen. Yet Luo Chen did not move. He stood as if watching a show.

And a good show it was. To their surprise, no matter how they attacked, the curtain grew stronger instead of weaker. Black mist spread across its surface, and endless water vapor from the sea gathered inside the enclosure. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Luo Chen watched with satisfaction. As expected of a Sage!

Han Zhan did not have eight limbs like the Demon Spider Crab King, but he had found another way. There were now multiple Demon King souls in the Myriad Soul Banner; he thus used eight of them as the nodes and the Divine Seal Compass as the core. With that, the Oceanseal Eight Trigram Formation manifested once more. Moreover, the formation was no longer merely third tier, but fourth tier, and its sealing abilities were far greater. Back then, Luo Chen had only broken through it with the cauldron and his Withering-Flourishing True Fire. Now its power had grown substantially, so how could six Adepts break it so easily?

At this moment, the fishery had become a life-or-death arena for all of them. And as time passed, the advantage would only shift further toward Luo Chen.

"Luo Chen, go all out. They're at our mercy!"

Luo Chen grinned. "Music to my ears!"

The next moment, he charged straight for the last to arrive, the golden sword cultivator. This man was called Jin Zhan, an external elder of the Qian family who managed the Golden Depot in Jadecold City. His cultivation was unremarkable, and his enchanted treasure was nothing more than the standard golden sword used by Qian family Adepts. Since he had arrived last, he was clearly the weakest. At his charge, Jin Zhan's expression tightened and realized his intention.

"Don't panic. He's alone. This formation must have been set up by that woman who fled earlier. She's not that strong and setting this up must have drained her. She won't be able to help Luo Hai anymore!"

Qian Ting took command from the center and immediately guided his black flying saber to attack Luo Chen.

Faced with so many enchanted treasures, even Luo Chen had to halt his advance. He had to endure this wave! Without hesitation, he transformed. In an instant, he took on his Sky Roc True Form. As the six attacks closed in, Luo Chen struck out with both hands in rapid succession—Cloud-Seizing Divine Claw!

BOOOOMMMM!

A tremendous explosion echoed through the fishery. With just one collision, the thousands of Golden Dragonfish trembling in fear under the sea were reduced to fish paste, and Luo Chen himself was blasted into the deep sea.

Seeing this, the Xiang brothers spoke in unison. "Nothing special"

They had thought his transformation was terrifying, but it turned out to be just for show. But Qian Ting's expression shifted slightly. "No... he's still alive!"

The next moment, a massive figure burst out from beneath the water. Its wings spread across the sky, and the whip it held split into nine chains that writhed like tentacles in the air. In its other claw was the handle of a great cauldron, wreathed in blue-green flames like a massive fireball. From a distance, it looked as if the figure were holding a blue-green sun.

The figure strode forward, covering a hundred zhang in one step, and swung the cauldron downward. The shirtless, muscular man from Hundred Craft Mountain used his hammer to resist head-on.

BOOOOMMMM!

He was swatted down like a fly, and his life-bound hammer was shattered instantly.

The Primordial Unity Cauldron had not yet been fully refined, and its power was only at the middle grade; its materials, however, were extraordinary even for a top-grade enchanted treasure. With Luo Chen's immense strength in his Sky Roc True Form, none could withstand the blow.

As the shitless man acted, the other five also moved almost at the same time. But the formation shifted, and countless ghostly figures surged from the water curtain to entangle them. This gave Luo Chen an opening. The shitless man's life-bound treasure was gone and he was severely injured, so retreated in panic. But the moment he left the formation, the sea churned. A dragon's tail stirred the depths, and a massive maw opened below him. A terrifying force dragged him straight in.

Black King cast a cold glance at the remaining five before diving back into the deep. That single look made their hearts pound. It was then that they realized that this rogue cultivator was not alone. He had help!

As they were shaken, a voice as deep and cold as the Nine Hells entered their ears. "Are you sure you can afford to be distracted?"

High in the sky, Luo Chen hurled the cauldron downward again, then struck out with both palms. One massive blue-green palm projection after another crashed down. The sea churned; the sheer pressure of these strikes turned the surface of the sea concave, like a giant water crater.

Those directly targeted by the attacks felt it most acutely. Seeing the incoming cauldron, Qian Ting spat out a streak of white light, and his black flying saber followed. With a flick of his wrist, a bronze basin appeared; a radiant glow rose from the basin, enveloping him in a protective barrier. Even so, he was shaken violently by the impact. The other four each unleashed their own spells and items against the Azure Yang Great Handprint. Although it was just a hastily put-up defense, they still managed to hold; it was not a full-force strike like the one Luo Chen had thrown at Profound Rock Island.

But as they resisted, the formation shifted. Dense black mist formed towering figures that attacked each of them. After just a brief clash, the old woman with the black fan died silently, with her eyes bulging in despair. Jin Zhan swung his golden sword, producing waves of sword light, but he could not withstand the combined pressure of the palm strikes and Ghost Kings. A single misstep sent him crashing into the sea.

The Xiang brothers, however, did not falter. Their flails whirled as they blocked a palm manifestation and even shattered two Ghost Kings that had drawn close.

High above, Luo Chen recalled the cauldron and looked at the results with satisfaction. That moment of enlightenment had brought him clear gains. Having grasped part of the laws of power, his mana and blood qi no longer clashed in this form and could be freely wielded.

Ding ding ding...

Luo Chen frowned and recalled the crimson chains. In the air, black and white lights circled once before returning to Qian Ting and falling into his basin—a black flying saber and a white one. As they moved around the basin, their curved blades resembled the yin-yang fish. But Luo Chen's gaze moved right past the sabers and settled on the basin with undisguised greed. "I'm spotting another fine treasure!"
