Ancestral Lineage
Chapter 510: Primords
Back in the mirror dimension, the people in the cocoons were starting to break out. This time, there was no massive power explosion or unnatural phenomenon. It was rather subtle, like their ascensions hadn’t just caused Zark to access a quarter of his power to sustain the dimension.
Up in the sky was the being who was burning like the sun: Ethan. He was also going through another ascension and evolution, one that would make him very powerful. Zark even doubted if the power system Ethan was using was the same as the one the whole universe was using. Because just by witnessing the battle of the guardians of Order, the golden beings, he could tell that Ethan had grown powerful again, and that too without breaking a sweat.
Of the golden beings he had summoned, the weakest was at the 4th ascension stage of the Saint Realm, meaning that the stronger ones were higher ranked from 5th to 10th or even higher. He couldn’t feel true divine power from them, which would put them at Demigod, so this meant that they were the only beings in the universe who decided to push through the Saint Realm to the last ascension stage, the 100th ascension stage.
In all of history, only a few individuals had pushed to the last ascension stage and ascended to Demigodhood, and these individuals were so powerful that they could even defeat some gods as Demigods.
"It seems he chose the long way... All of them did," Zark muttered with a smile as the first cocoon cracked.
The cocoon released potent blood energy, its crimson glow making it look horrific. A clawed hand first came out, so white that the veins could be seen. His fingernails were dark and pointed, cracking the cocoon with just a simple movement. Blood seemed to flow out of the cocoon, falling like a waterfall.
"Ugh! I feel like I’ve been baptised in iron!" A soft, deep, yet malicious voice sounded from the cocoon as a lock of silvery-white hair, followed by a head, came out. The person was devilishly handsome, his crimson eyes glowing so deep that the air shook. His skin was very white, with sword-shaped eyebrows. Slowly, Trevor floated out of the cocoon and descended towards the ground, where Zark stood waiting for him. His hair glowed with a crimson light, blending perfectly with its silver-white color. His hair was so long that it fell to his knees. His clothes had also burned off, but with Zark there, that wasn’t an issue, as he was instantly draped in clothes.
"Old man. How do I look?" Trevor asked with a mischievous smirk the moment he saw his father.
"You look like you have malaria," Zark replied with a smirk of his own, making Trevor groan in defeat.
"Where’s Ethan?"
"Up there."
"Oh? Another ascension?"
"Yep."
"Cool."
"I know, right?"
CRACK!
Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of something cracking. Their gazes were turned towards a cocoon that was leaking dark light. It was so dark that even the golden glow from other cocoons failed to penetrate. With a loud roar, the person inside exploded out. Even with the clothes on him, he looked monstrous. His hair was long, silvery-white, and ended at his knees, contrasting deeply with his black skin. His skin was like black ink, drinking in every light around him. On his head were four horns coiled downwards. His eyes were a deep purple with black sclerae. On his forehead was a glowing purple mark of death. But what was even more shocking was his new stature... He was impossibly tall, a full-fledged nine-foot-tall giant, and very slim.
"Lamair?" Trevor asked in confusion as the man walked towards them. At 7.8 feet tall, Trevor was shorter than Lamair by a very huge margin.
"The one and only," Lamair replied in a deep voice that caused the air around him to twist.
"Whoa! Tone it down, big guy," Trevor exclaimed with a smirk as he shook hands with the giant man.
"This motherfucker, you didn’t change... verbally," Lamair said with a smile.
"I know I look amazing, thank you."
"Tch!"
"Hahaha!"
Then an aura hit them. It was heavy, huge, and seemed to coil around them. It also had the sense of authority that made them want to bow in reverence. For a moment, they thought it was Ethan, but realized it wasn’t him when they saw the huge beast that slithered out of one of the cocoons.
It was so long that it didn’t seem to end. Its scales were silvery-white with deep golden serpentine eyes. On its face were beautiful golden marks. It looked like an eastern dragon, but without the legs, horns, whiskers, and hair. It was 70 meters long, and so huge that it could swallow them in a single gulp.
The aura it radiated pushed down on them, but only Zark was unaffected.
"Is that... Harley?" Lamair asked as they watched the serpent fly towards the glowing Ethan high up in the sky, and coiled protectively around him.
"She didn’t even greet us..." Trevor commented with a flat face.
"You have a wife..." Lamair shot back, making him shut up.
After Harley, the other broke out one by one out of their cocoons. Every one of them had something in common... silvery-white hair, or if they were in other forms like bestial forms, silvery-white fur or scales.
Barki had transformed into a dragon whose size was that of two mountains combined. Thankfully, the dimension could contain all these beings, otherwise...
For some reason, too, Lamair’s wives and children had become giants.
Lusamine had become an 8’8-foot-tall dark-skinned woman, while Cassandra fell short at 8’7 feet tall. Their children, Ivy and Werock, were both 8 feet tall, shocking everyone. It seemed like Lamair had already begun a line of primords, who would be later known as the Primord Titans.
Another factor was that they had all ranked up, and the weakest there, excluding the newly born babies, was at the Grandmaster Level, and that person was Delphina.
Yes, she who was yet to awaken some days ago was now a Grandmaster Level being, capable of levelling cities at full power. Through the ascension, she had awakened her affinity, making it evolve into magic, and finally into a god-art. Her path to power could be said to be the easiest in history, and that was because she was the daughter of Ethan. Only people like her had such privileges.
Speaking of rank-ups, Regnare had also ranked up to the Emperor Realm. That wasn’t all... He was undergoing another evolution at the moment to become the Sin of Wrath, and it was pushed by the Paragon of Sin herself... Lilith.
Xander had also become an Emperor Realm being. In fact, the weakest ranked there was at Grandmaster, while the strongest was at the Saint Realm. Lilith and Kraken were very close to pushing to Demigod, but as Zark said earlier, they had chosen the longer path.
And from Zark’s eyes, he could also see that Ethan had become full.
Full in the sense that his soulmates, his power, everything had become linked to him in the most intricate way possible, especially his soulmates.
They were now one with him. They were the perfect representation of 1+1=1, or rather 15+1=1.
They were linked in such a way that nothing in existence could ever separate them. Not death, not destruction, not chaos, not the end of the world... Nothing.
And they could feel Ethan deeper than just physically and mentally. All the soulmates of Ethan had chosen to push to the last stage of the Saint Realm. And it seemed that every one of them had decided to do the same.
Zark felt cold sweat form on his forehead as he imagined just what monsters he had as family. But upon second thought, he was the bigger monster currently. Just a snap of his finger could end everything. But with great power came greater responsibilities, and ending stuff wasn’t his responsibility.
His eyes then went to his wife, Madeleine, who was walking towards him. She had also changed in more ways than he expected. She was still a dwarf, but she had become something of an Arbitral Dwarf. It seemed that the nights they shared had caused something else in her evolution. She had become taller, more beautiful, with long silvery-white hair, deep green eyes, and her black ram-like horns had gained a kind of red sheen. But what made him accept that she was on the path of an arbiter was the red mark on her forehead, shaped like a spearhead.
"Honey..." Zark breathed in as Madeleine stopped in front of him, looking down at him. Well... Madeleine had also grown taller, standing at 8 feet tall, so unless Zark changed his height, she was taller than him.
"I..." Madeleine said shyly, pushing a lock of hair behind her ear. Trevor, seeing this, almost choked on air. In fact, everyone felt the golden light in the sky flare for a brief period.
"You are amazingly beautiful," Zark said as he slowly grew taller to 8’3. He held Madeleine’s chin and kissed her lips.
"EWWW!" A chorus of two voices cut off their kiss as they turned to see Trevor, who was in between his wives, and Ethan hovering in the air, staring at them like kids who had seen two adults kissing for the first time.
"Should we let them know?" Zark suddenly asked Madeleine, who nodded with a smile, but his voice was loud enough for everyone to hear, and they halted whatever they were doing to look at them.
Ethan, who was still glowing, instinctively turned to Trevor, and they could see dread on each other’s faces. They were thinking the same thing...
"Ahem!" Zark cleared his throat as he smiled at Ethan and Trevor, especially.
"Your mother is pregnant..."
"NOOOOOO!!!"
Ethan dramatically fell from the air, hitting the ground with a dull thud, his expression as if he’d just been denied ice cream as a child. Trevor, on the other hand, fell on his knees, his expression of disbelief.
This was too unbelievable! Even though they had their suspicions, it was too much. As for the two parents, they could only stare at their grown-up adult children in amusement. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
The world had given birth to primords, and their first action was to cause drama.
