Chapter 519: Trevor versus Lady Seraphina

It had been a week since the expedition to take back lands began and it had been going well. There had been less casualties than expected, considering that they were dealing with alien creatures who could evolve endlessly.

In just a week, they’d taken back more than 5% of their land with little to no resistance apart from void-born and some void beasts. Everything had been going to well, but everyone knew it was just a matter of time before the enemy snapped and sent a stronger pawn to the silent war they were fighting.

And that time was closer than they expected.

It started with a sweet song that seemed to resonate everywhere, then a blood rain. Warriors who were out of Anbord battling void-born and void beasts were caught up in the rain that drained their lifeforce in seconds, turning them into hollow bodies. But that wasn’t the end for them. The blood further programmed them, turning them into blood-beasts.

The transformed blood beasts had crimson eyes, long, red claws, and blood spikes jutting out of their shoulders. Even the void-born and the void beasts who got touched by the rain weren’t spared.

Anbord’s systems blared, announcing the appearance of a Black Threat. Something that posed a serious danger to empires.

...

Trevor was busily trying to give his son, Devon, a good beating when they got the notification of a black threat. His expression instantly changed, causing him to falter for just a second. A second that changed things.

Devon’s character of the screen flashed from Trevor’s character’s view, appeared behind it and hit its head off its body with a huge club.

[Devi-Momma’s Boy Wins!]

Trevor’s expression twisted into disgust when he saw the announcement on the large screen.

"I seriously wonder where you got that naming sense from?" Trevor commented with a snort, but Devon was too shameless to be affected negatively.

"You’re a sore loser, old man. Hahahahahaha!" Devon roared with laughter seeing his father’s expression drop by the second.

"I will defeat you next time!"

"Great dream..."

Just then, Trevor received a message from Ethan. It read, "It’s your turn. Take of it."

"I’ve been waiting for this..." Trevor smiled darkly as he got up. He then turned towards his son. "Let’s go. It’s high time you faced real enemies."

"Wha?!"

"Are you chickening out?"

"Like hell I am!"

With their playful banter, they left their gaming room and headed straight towards the battlefield.

...

Her long black hair floated gently as her red eyes looked down the vast land with disdain and arrogance. Her alabaster skin was cracked in places. She wore a long black Victorian Era dress, with a black hat, and held a black umbrella. Her gloved hands moved like she was conducting a soft orchestra, manipulating the blood rain to drain the life force of her victims, and further turn them into blood beasts.

She had covered more than five kilometers with her blood beasts just as she’d arrived, with the victims from Anbord taking up 2% of her army.

"Collectively, they are not weak... Even transforming them is proving hard for a 3rd ascension Saint Realm like me. Just what kind of people are they?" Lady Seraphina, one of the champions of Hades questioned.

"No wonder Voriel failed and came to Lord Hades. Unfortunately for him, he and his champions were weak and they are now servants..."

"Ah I see... So that’s why we haven’t heard of that fool for sometime now."

A deep, calm voice sounded in the vicinity as Trevor and Devon stepped out of a crimson portal in casual clothes. Trevor stepped out empty-handed while Devon held a huge club. Their silvery-white hair swayed in the wind as they stared at the woman in front of them.

"He’s truly a fool. That I agree with. But you are also a fool, young Primogenitor," Lady Seraphina said in her sweet voice.

"Primogenitor... I even forgot I was one. Well, it doesn’t matter. Your journey ends now," Trevor spoke with a causal smirk.

"Do you think you can defeat me? You are weak," Lady Seraphina stated in an arrogant and disdainful tone.

"People truly become blind once they get some power... sigh..." Trevor said while shaking his head. Then he turned to Devon. "Take care of the blood beasts. Go all out. Use you Blood-Druid form if you have to."

"But what of the victims from Anbord?"

"They are dead. But, give them a quick re-death."

Devon nodded with a determined gaze and flew down. Wings of blood materialized on his back, pushing him towards the ground, while Trevor remained afloat with his hands in his pockets, staring at Lady Seraphina.

"What’s the name, beautiful lady?" Trevor asked her, his tone changing into a flirty one.

"You think I’m beautiful?" Lady Seraphina asked back, her eyes widening in surprise.

"Nah! Kidding..." Trevor’s reply made her turn silent for ten long seconds, before she exploded in rage and anger.

"You are a mongrel! An imbecile! A cheat! I curse you!"

"Oi! You are making noise..."

"AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!"

BOOM!

Trevor was sent flying backwards by a powerful hit. The air split as he flew into a mountain, shattering it upon impact.

Lady Seraphina breathed heavily, her fangs bared in anger while her eyes glowed with a bloody light that promised a torturous death.

"I... WILL... KILL... YOU!"

She screamed loudly, causing the dark clouds to disintegrate, bringing with it a night sky and a full moon, that turned red in an instant.

Devon who had engaged with the blood beasts looked up after homerunning an eight-foot-tall ant blood beast into the incoming horde, looked up with a confused expression.

"Is he cheating on mothers?"

...

Trevor walked out of the rubble, uninjured. "That sure packed a punch... Damn!"

He patted his clothes off dust, cracked his neck and flashed out of his position just as a red ball detonated at his position, erasing the destroyed mountain, and its surroundings from existence.

"She’s serious... Damn!"
