Star University Territory

After leaving the Westwood City territory, I found a series of bedrock formations. The bedrock was over 20 feet high. It was a good place to hide and watch over the area.

Then, I reached the bedrock and hid behind it.

Time passed,

More and more warriors appeared at the location. They were all Purple Mark Warriors. Seeing that, my eyes gleamed with a twinkle.

Their numbers were more than 20. But I wasn’t afraid. I had faced a greater number of foreign creatures alone on the battlefield.

The foreign creatures were stronger than the average Purple Mark Warriors here. I looked at the red ring. If activated, the red ring could hide my presence from a Red Mark Warrior.

I did exactly that the next second. Now, no one could sense my presence.

Then, I decided to wait and watch. The 20 warriors went towards the city. Not long after, a couple of teams followed suit.

As time passed, more and more warriors appeared. The numbers quickly crossed 80. Finally, a look of seriousness appeared in my eyes.

I didn’t expect the numbers to reach close to a hundred. To think that many enemies were hiding in the territory of Star University. I guess they must have clean backgrounds.

Otherwise, the officials would have taken action long ago.

Then, I noticed a lone figure appearing from a distance. When the figure got closer, I saw the person was a Gold Mark Warrior. And he appeared to be old.

A quick gleam flashed in my eyes.

I had seen the Purple Mark Warriors earlier. Then, a group of Gold Mark Warriors went past as well. But I had never seen a single Gold Mark Warrior coming out alone.

My mouth curved into an arc. I left the bedrock and chased him from behind. In a flash, I got closer to him. I felt a sense of crisis all of a sudden.

I slowed down. I looked at the old man and felt suspicious. The old man could be hiding something dangerous. I raised my hand and extended my index finger.

"Lightning Condensed Finger"

Then, I covered my index finger with purple lightning power. A purple beam gathered at the tip of my finger. The purple ball of energy was strong and powerful.

Boom!

I shot the purple beam at the old man. The beam went in a straight line. Only at the last moment did the old man feel something wrong and turn around.

But it was too late. The purple beam landed on his chest.

Boom!

A deafening noise occurred. The old man was blasted away from the spot. He crashed into the ground the next moment.

The purple lightning power scorched his body and paralyzed the old man. He couldn’t believe he had been attacked and hurt.

He raised his head after a struggle and saw that the person who attacked him was none other than his target. Seeing that, he proceeded to take something out of his storage ring.

Boom!

Seeing that, I released another finger beam, which landed on the old man’s body again. This time, the old man’s inner organs were smashed. He died unwillingly.

After confirming he was dead, I walked towards the corpse. I looked at the old man’s face before turning toward the storage ring.

I took the storage ring away. Before anyone could come here, I left the place. Now, I wasn’t going to stay near the bedrock. I had a mission to do.

The next destination was Lake City. It is one of the popular tourist places in the Star University Territory. The names of the two families were recorded in that book.

One hour later,

I found another isolated spot. It was a cave-like structure. I went to the entrance and checked to ensure no one was inside.

Then, I walked into the open space. I found that the passage went deeper. I could spend the night here before continuing with my journey tomorrow.

I went deeper inside the passage. After walking a short distance, I felt the current spot was okay. Then, I took my gadget out and turned on the lights.

Then, I took the storage boxes outside one by one. They were looted from the Preslin Family. I was sure one of them must contain treasures.

I began to open the storage boxes one by one. All four storage boxes had fruit-type treasures. The last storage box had a brown-colored pill.

The brown-colored pill contained strong energy. Seeing that, I immediately decided to consume the brown-colored pill first.

I ate the pill and consumed it in one go. The next second, a warm surge of energy entered my body. The energy spread across my entire body.

Seeing that, I began to run the incomplete ancient healing technique. I guessed the pill had strong medicinal energy.

As the energy circulated inside my body, I felt the tempering of my organs and bones. After circulation, the energy settled inside my dantian.

I paid attention to the energy now. I wondered what reaction would occur when the energy came in contact with the different inheritance forces.

A change started to occur. The pill energy got assimilated into the different inheritance forces. The power of the inheritance forces grew stronger.

Not only that, but I could feel a surge in my overall strength as time passed.

When the energy was fully consumed, I took another treasure and consumed it. Then, I started using the lightning method.

Meanwhile,

Nighttime had come. Yet, people were still looking for Zack Lockwood. Especially the Purple Mark Warriors who had entered Westwood City.

They had started searching every nook and corner of the city. But they didn’t find him. Only the guards at the city gate knew that the person had already left.

But they were shocked to learn that the warrior everyone was searching for was none other than Zack Lockwood. They felt glad that they hadn’t offended Zack Lockwood.

And the people who were looking for Zack Lockwood were clearly criminals. But their strength was low; they couldn’t fight against the Purple Mark Warriors.

Only the City Lord could handle the problems here.
