Chapter 1003: Tier 7
The Spear Saint Carrick couldn’t help but grit his teeth after hearing the news about Clovis.
"Damn bastard!" Carrick smashed the table in anger. He thought that his son would have been the successor that would bring the Melesviet to a greater height.
But with everything Clovis had shown and the fact that he could defeat Tesron in the past, he realized the potential was slim. Clovis would definitely do everything to destroy the Melesviet family.
"..." Carrick gritted his teeth. On the one hand, he could attack Clovis after the news about Michael Hacfield’s injury. On the other hand, the Guardian was watching his movements closely.
"If not for that old fox Ezekiel, I wouldn’t have to be in this position."
Carrick didn’t know what he should do at this time. The situation had gone beyond his expectations.
At this rate, people would try to get their hands on Clovis. They would do whatever they could to please him, even if it meant offending the Carrick family.
While the world was in uproar, Clovis had shut himself in his mansion. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
He had been preparing for what was about to come, so he wanted to become a Tier 7 human as quickly as possible.
Finally, after a long eight days, Clovis managed to fill his progress and advance to a Tier 7 human. He officially became a high-tier human.
"I’ve finally reached this level." Clovis smiled and pumped his fist. He realized one thing from becoming a Tier 7.
As the people said, there were three major realms as an explorer. Tier 0 to Tier 3 were considered low-tier. They were stronger than normal people, but they were nothing special.
Once they reached Tier 4, they could do what they couldn’t before. However, reaching Tier 7 allowed them to have a major change.
Most people would be able to use their tertiary affinity at this time, but for someone like Clovis who could control all affinities, he received a little change.
Instead of the tertiary affinity, Clovis was able to combine three affinities at the same time. Normally, when he swung his sword, he would combine the blood and muscle affinities, which gave him the momentum and power to cut down anything he wanted.
But thanks to reaching Tier 7, he might be able to add the bones or heart affinity into the mix.
The heart affinity was good at regeneration, while the bones affinity was excellent at defense.
It might look unrelated to the strength of a swing, but the heart affinity could allow him to regenerate stamina or muscle. In other words, he could swing over and over again.
On the other hand, the bones affinity would make him tougher. Thanks to the additional toughness on his body, he could make the swing heavier or bolder.
Either way, he could do a lot of things with this new power.
"To think I can reach Tier 7." Clovis recalled the first time he had awakened. At that time, he was quite shocked to only have 15% affinity.
He was devastated, but he didn’t complain. Even if he were talentless, he would just have to work harder and kill even more beasts.
So, reaching Tier 7, especially only a few years since he began, was unthinkable.
"And I’m not going to stop here." Clovis clenched his fists with an excited smile.
Before telling the others about this joyous news, Clovis took a look at the report.
Everyone’s progress was already quite high, but they had definitely slowed down significantly after reaching Tier 7.
There were not many beasts at Tier 7 or Tier 8. So, it couldn’t be helped if Clovis caught up to them.
Even then, their progress was already quite high.
In Melody’s report, he could see everyone’s progress.
Jay - 5%
Kanaria - 2%
Melody - 48%
Ragna - 37%
Erwin - 36%
Lucifania - 58%
Christina - 89%
Aileen - 71%
Rin - 80%
Angelia - 8%
Among them, only Angelia was a Tier 8 human. Christina, Aileen, and Rin were also pretty close to Tier 8. If they managed to reach Tier 8, the group might have a chance to defeat Mara.
Clovis looked down, contemplating. "Let’s see. Now that I’ve reached Tier 7, the items from the grocery store should also reach Tier 7. This means they will have an easier time progressing.
"However, since we all are Tier 7, we will have to split the resources carefully. Our progress will be slower, but with the addition of constant hunting, Christina, Aileen, and Rin should be able to reach Tier 8 within six months.
"We have to be careful where to hunt as well. We need high-level danger zones, so I guess I can step up my game in that plan."
Clovis remembered that the president wanted him to rebuild fallen cities. A lot of them were high-level danger zones. If they hadn’t been that dangerous, they wouldn’t have fallen.
Lower-level danger zones would be good if he wanted to train people. He didn’t know whether he would train those people or not, but he could always consider it.
"In that case, I will inform Kanaria about it. And since Angelia has joined, I can probably ask her to handle the negotiation. Hana will handle the benefits..."
Clovis couldn’t help but smile. His group was indeed quite unique. They had their own specialties.
Jay was an all-rounder, being able to take over his duty as captain when necessary. Kanaria was good at managing logistics and being a mayor. Melody was an excellent operator who could handle most of the stuff. She was also the second brain of the group.
Ragna might not stand out, but he was patching the holes in this group as their second guardian. Erwin was excellent at reading people.
Luci was an excellent researcher and doctor, while Christina’s defensive power would be able to become the strongest in the future. As long as she was here, no danger would befall them.
Aileen was good at scouting and an excellent assassin. Rin was their chef. Her food could cheer up the group. Last but not least, Angelia would be their negotiator or lobbyist.
Looking at his group, Clovis couldn’t help but smile.
"I’m really blessed with excellent comrades."
