"Ha... Ha... He is an immortal..." The people panted heavily, unable to keep up with Ezekiel. They had done their best, but they still couldn’t take him down.

They had dealt a lot of damage to his body, but all of it had closed up as though he had suffered nothing.

Of course, Ezekiel must have lost a lot of blood too, but it looked like he was able to somehow counter it with his affinity.

As a result, Ezekiel remained standing after a fight that lasted for over six hours.

"What’s wrong? I’m still standing here." Ezekiel smiled, looking at the people who were already on the ground.

Clovis was still standing and pointing his sword at him, but his body was drenched in sweat. His body began to shake.

Even though he still wanted to continue, he still hadn’t delivered a decisive blow on Ezekiel.

’I never thought the gap between Tier 8 and Tier 9 was this big,’ Clovis thought, realizing that the team couldn’t continue any longer.

He was a bit too complacent. He thought they had some chances, considering their team’s overwhelming offensive power.

In a way, this fight looked like there were many Tier 8 humans fighting against a single Tier 9.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to defeat Ezekiel. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

"..." Clovis took a deep breath before sighing. "I think this will be the end of the sparring match. Thank you for sparring with us, sir."

Clovis politely bowed. This experience was extremely useful. Clovis knew what he should do if he wanted to defeat Mara.

After all, Ezekiel mentioned that Mara was actually strong enough to compete with his grandfather. It meant Mara was much stronger than Ezekiel.

If they already struggled against him, there was no way they could win against her.

"No problem. Was it useful?" Ezekiel smiled.

"Yes." Clovis nodded.

"Good." Ezekiel paused for a moment. "If Mara is actually standing against me, her strike can probably knock my shield away. I do have my second shield, which I can fully rotate to take on her attack.

"However, her killing intent is so strong that it will wear me down faster than I wear her down.

"Even if I manage to repel her, she can probably take an arm." Ezekiel shook his head helplessly. Losing a single arm was basically the end for him. He might end up becoming weaker than future Tier 9 humans.

"How about my grandfather?"

"That old brute will probably knock me off with his punch. His body is so tough that he doesn’t care about anything else. I may be the one who is known as the Guardian, but that’s only because of my body’s condition. I can keep recovering to my best state.

"However, the one who has the toughest defense is probably your grandfather. Your grandfather is able to turn that defense into offense. That’s why he’s known for his offense, not defense.

"For example, I can probably withstand a missile with my shield because the damage it deals to my body is recoverable. Meanwhile, your old man can just walk to that missile with a smile on his face without suffering anything.

"However, your old man’s opponent is also a monster at that level. From what I know, Carrick has no problem piercing through your old man’s defense, which is why fighting him is tricky.

"I don’t know about the Prophet. I hope that’s good enough for a comparison."

Clovis nodded with a serious expression. The Prophet was on the same level or higher. The fact that his grandfather was heavily injured after his fight against the Prophet meant the Prophet’s combat power was equal, if not stronger than the Spear Saint.

"Nevertheless, you did well this time. It’s hard to fight all of you, but if you are coming for Mara Leverstrike with only this... I don’t think she will join you guys."

"We know. Thank you for your advice." Clovis knew that his advice would allow people to figure out their next step. If they managed to accomplish it and somehow reached Tier 8, they would definitely be a strong contender to Mara.

In that case, he had to pause his original plan. He might have to wait until everyone, including him, reached Tier 8.

They would finally have a chance against Mara at this time.

Nevertheless, it would be good to find her so that they would be able to somehow reach her by the time they had the confidence to defeat her.

"Thank you very much." Christina shouted and bowed as if she were a trainee of the Elseingarde family.

The others either nodded or bowed as well.

Ezekiel smiled. "All right. The sparring match is now over. Wash yourself and enjoy your vacation."

Ezekiel led them back to the city. Seeing all the messes they had created, the people were shocked. Unfortunately, they couldn’t see the battle with their own eyes, which was a shame.

Nevertheless, the aftermath was quite catastrophic, which showed more than enough how destructive their battle could be.

Although the Libation Fiesta had lost, it didn’t mean they were weak. They could probably defeat most teams that had many Tier 8 humans in their group.

Since they had fulfilled everything they had come for, it was time to enjoy the vacation. At least, that was what people did.

Clovis, on the other hand, had one more task to complete. He had been waiting for Vina all this time.

He was curious whether his great-grandmother had actually stopped her from leaving.

Fortunately, it looked like his plan had worked. Vina finally arrived after three days.

Vina immediately contacted Clovis to set up the meeting first.

"Sorry. It takes time for me to get here, especially to clear up all the routes. I shouldn’t let myself get tracked after all." Now that she had affiliated herself with the Ghost, it would only be natural for her to remain without a trace at all times.

Hence, Clovis just nodded, thinking it was no big deal.

Vina glanced at Clovis before taking out a brown envelope. "Anyway, before we get into the discussion, your great-grandmother wants me to show you this first."
