Apocalypse Hoarder: I Have Billions in Supplies
Chapter 50: Rainstorm
Jiang Si’s sudden cry snapped everyone awake. They grabbed their weapons, ready for a fight.
But then they saw Jiang Si cover her mouth and exclaim excitedly, "A yacht! The flood washed a small yacht over, and it’s gotten stuck on the house! Everyone, let’s get on board now!"
A yacht!
Oh my god!
What incredible luck!
Lu Zhifeng could hardly believe his ears.
Holding Niu Niu, he walked closer and saw it for himself—a brand-new beast of a vessel, docked right in front of their house.
Jiang Linhai deliberately added, "We have to be careful! There might be people on the yacht!"
The joy on everyone’s faces immediately shifted to stern vigilance. Qin Shen, in contrast, remained as calm and unruffled as ever.
Jiang Si met his pitch-black eyes and felt an inexplicable twinge of guilt. ’Could he have noticed something?’
She had watched him carefully when she materialized the luxury yacht, and Jiang Linhai had been keeping an eye on him too, reminding her in a whisper.
There was no way Qin Shen could have seen anything.
’He’s probably just the type of person who stays calm no matter what happens.’
Jiang Si averted her gaze and picked up her gun. "I’ll go up and check it out first."
Qin Shen walked up to her. "I’ll go with you."
Shen Baoying glanced at Jiang Linhai, the corners of her mouth twitching with the smile of someone shipping a couple.
’Qin Shen is obviously worried about Jiang Si.’
Using a climbing rope, Jiang Si and Qin Shen deftly climbed aboard the luxury yacht.
Aside from the mud and fallen leaves dirtying its exterior, the inside of the luxury yacht was very clean. A single glance told them it was likely unoccupied.
Jiang Si knew for a fact that there was no one on board, but with Qin Shen there, she had to pretend to be extremely cautious.
She had bought the smallest model of luxury yacht, but it had all the standard amenities, spread across three decks: a suite, kitchen, dining room, library, gym, guest rooms, a lounge area, a massage room...
With every new area they entered, she would let out a token gasp of amazement to stay in character as someone who had stumbled upon a wonderful surprise.
Qin Shen, on the other hand, true to his nature, showed no surprise at all. He was as composed as if he had just returned to his own home.
After checking all the areas, Jiang Si and Qin Shen entered the storeroom. It was filled with food she had stocked in advance—they had everything they could possibly need, enough to last them for half a year.
The reason she hadn’t stocked more was that she was afraid the flood might suddenly recede, and then Lu Zhifeng and Qin Shen might start trying to figure out how to move all the food.
Besides the food pantry, there was also a supply hold containing medicine, daily necessities, cosmetics, and so on—everything was there.
Jiang Si glanced at Qin Shen and said happily, "We’ve really hit the jackpot! With all these supplies, if we’re careful, we can last for a long time."
Qin Shen looked at her, his thin lips curving slightly. "We certainly have."
His eyes were too deep, too profound, making him impossible to read. Jiang Si asked subconsciously, "Have you been on a luxury yacht before?"
’A surgeon probably doesn’t get to stay on luxury yachts that easily, right?’
But Qin Shen nodded. "I have."
Jiang Si was genuinely a little curious. "You don’t seem like the type to go out to sea for fun on a luxury yacht."
Qin Shen raised an eyebrow. "You’re right." And that was all he said.
If Jiang Si pressed him further, it would make her seem too interested in him, so she dropped it.
Lu Zhifeng and the others waited for a while before Jiang Si and Qin Shen appeared on the bow. Everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief.
Jiang Linhai asked, "The boat’s not leaking, is it?"
Jiang Si pursed her lips in a smile, thinking her dad was a genuinely good actor. "Nope, no problems. And there’s a ton of good stuff on board. We just got it all for free."
Everyone gradually climbed onto the boat. When they saw the interior of the yacht, they were all dumbfounded.
This was too luxurious!
It was the first time in their lives that Jiang Linhai and the others had ever been on a luxury yacht!
Plopping down on an Italian sofa worth tens of thousands, they felt like their hearts were about to soar.
If you ignored the terrible environment outside, this place was practically paradise.
It had everything they could possibly want, even better than their own homes.
The only drawback was the lack of electricity. They could only steer the yacht with the current and couldn’t go against it. If the current became too rapid, stopping the vessel would also be a problem.
But this model of luxury yacht wouldn’t capsize easily. Besides, the one Jiang Si had rented was the sturdiest type available.
Shen Baoying happily explored the luxurious, spacious kitchen. Big Black and Little Black ran wild down the hallway with joy. Zhang Qingfang decided the indoor flower bed was perfect for planting vegetables. Jiang Linhai was thrilled to find a martial arts training room. Niu Niu discovered a swing. And Lu Zhifeng, feeling like he was in a dream, just stood there dumbly and gave himself a hard pinch.
After everyone had finished touring the luxury yacht, Jiang Si spoke up. "There are multiple rooms here. To make it easier to keep an eye on our surroundings, I suggest we all take rooms with windows."
"Okay."
Jiang Si chose a room on the third deck, and Qin Shen chose the room next to hers, also on the third deck.
After taking a shower and lying down on the bed, Jiang Si’s whole body relaxed. Then, suddenly, a dense, stinging pain pricked at her chest again.
Sensing something was wrong, Jiang Si shot up, wanting to find her mother before she passed out.
Just as she left her room, she ran into Qin Shen emerging from his.
He took one look at her, noticed her pale expression, and asked, "Do you need help?"
The thought of him massaging her for two hours the day before made Jiang Si immediately shake her head. "I’m fine."
She forced herself to walk past Qin Shen and knocked on Shen Baoying and Jiang Linhai’s door.
After just a few steps, the pain became unbearable. Her head was covered in sweat, and her chest felt like it was on fire.
She grabbed Shen Baoying’s hand and said, "Mom, massage me."
Shen Baoying quickly helped her onto the bed, but in her panic, her memory of the massage techniques became hazy.
Shen Baoying tentatively pressed on her shoulders and arms, but unlike when Qin Shen did it, Jiang Si’s expression didn’t gradually soften. Instead, the sweat on her forehead beaded up even more.
She was clearly doing it wrong.
Jiang Linhai also tried his hand at it, but Jiang Si cried out in pain.
The pain was baffling, as if it were deliberately tormenting her.
And unlike yesterday, she couldn’t just pass out from it.
Being forced to experience it while fully conscious made it even more agonizing.
Shen Baoying’s heart ached for her daughter. She said quickly, "Sisi, let’s just call Qin Shen, okay?"
Jiang Si couldn’t care about anything else at this point. "Fine, go get him!"
Just as Jiang Linhai pushed the door open, he found Qin Shen standing at the entrance, along with everyone else.
Her grandparents asked anxiously, "What’s wrong with Sisi? Is she in pain again?"
Jiang Linhai didn’t have time to answer. He grabbed Qin Shen’s arm and pulled him inside. "Xiao Shen, we have to trouble you."
Qin Shen stood at the head of Jiang Si’s bed. From her angle, his handsome features looked even more divinely sculpted.
He knelt on the edge of the bed with one knee, reached out to grip her shoulder, and slowly began to apply pressure.
Jiang Si suddenly felt the pain wasn’t as intense anymore.
This felt completely different from when Jiang Linhai and Shen Baoying massaged her.
The effect was so obvious it startled her.
Qin Shen even asked, "How does that feel?"
Jiang Si’s face flushed slightly. "It’s okay."
Qin Shen increased the pressure, causing her to let out a sound of relief.
’This feels so weird.’
