Chapter 158: Western District

Alanna and Helen were both taken aback, not understanding why Waldo said this.

Seeing the confusion in the two women’s eyes, Waldo explained, "Now our strength is already powerful enough, and with West and Chubby, hardly anyone can be our match! So, I think we should go take a look at the Western District."

As he spoke, Waldo took out a map from his backpack. The map was extremely detailed, marking various buildings in the Western District.

Several points were marked in red, indicating strong dangers. These places either had a concentration of zombies or higher-level zombies!

In addition, there were some places marked with special annotations. According to the map’s description, these places were warehouses for important supplies, including armories, granaries, biological laboratories, underground bases, and more.

Alanna exclaimed in surprise, "My goodness, where did you get this map? How is it so detailed? Regular maps can’t achieve this level of detail!"

Helen also glanced at it and couldn’t find words to express her astonishment. The map was not only incredibly detailed, but it also had special markings for dangerous and important locations. This map was far more detailed than military maps.

Helen couldn’t help but ask, "Where did you get this from? It’s unbelievable! If the map is accurate, does that mean the entire Western District is within our control?"

Seeing the two women looking at him, Waldo nodded. Indeed, that was the case.

With a slight smile, he explained, "This map is a trophy I got after wiping out the Golden Blade Gang. It should be intelligence that the gang gathered, which ended up benefiting us!"

A trophy? The two women finally relaxed.

Afterward, their excitement grew. This meant that there were no more secrets in the Western District for them. Everything was within their grasp.

Amid their joy, Alanna asked, "So, where should we go? The Western District is full of dangers with thousands of zombies. If we’re not careful, we might run into trouble."

Regarding this question, Waldo had thought it through from the beginning. At this moment, he pointed decisively to a location.

"The Armory!"

Waldo smiled and added, "There are fewer zombies there, and the danger level isn’t as high. Plus, we can obtain a lot of weapons and ammunition!"

The eyes of the two women lit up at the thought. Undoubtedly, the armory would have a significant amount of powerful weaponry. Even more so, there might be formidable weapons and equipment they couldn’t even imagine.

With those weapons and equipment, what was there to fear even if they encountered numerous zombie groups?

"When should we set off?" Helen was now eager, ready to go to the armory.

Unlike Alanna, Helen had support-oriented abilities. Alanna’s healing ability was irreplaceable, no matter the situation. But what about herself? She had always wanted to play a substantial role in the team, becoming an invaluable assistant to Waldo. This time was her chance to showcase herself.

"Tomorrow morning, we’ll set off," Waldo said, his excitement matching Helen’s.

The three of them then discussed the details of their next day’s actions. Soon, night fell.

In the dead of night, Waldo was in high spirits, brimming with energy. He enthusiastically embraced the just-bathed Alanna and led her to the bedroom.

Possibly due to their recent advancements, their stamina had greatly increased. The sounds of their activities echoed non-stop, leaving a curious Helen bewildered. Unable to contain her curiosity, she cautiously opened the door to catch a glimpse of what was happening inside the room.

To her surprise, she was met with a pair of burning eyes fixed on her. The scorching gaze seemed to pierce through her sleepwear, rapidly raising her body temperature.

"Ack! Waldo, what are you doing?!" Helen exclaimed, retreating a step.

Waldo’s gaze made her feel like everything about her was exposed, and it was quite uncomfortable. Her legs even felt a bit weak. As she was about to turn and flee, Waldo grabbed her arm.

"Ah, let go of me!" Helen shrieked.

But her struggles were futile against Waldo’s strength. He held onto her like a mischievous child.

"Hey, remember what you two were talking about during the day? About having no way out? Haha, I’m going to show you just how capable I am today!"

Finally, dawn arrived, a new day beginning. Waldo woke up feeling refreshed, in high spirits, and significantly more self-assured. His confidence had grown immensely.

The expressions on the two women, however, were a mix of embarrassment and annoyance. Whenever they looked at Waldo, they couldn’t help but snort in displeasure.

Waldo chuckled. "Sorry, sorry, there will be a next time!"

"You!" The two women glared at him, irritated.

He hurriedly apologized to salvage the situation. The mood lightened a bit.

As they got out of bed, the two women found it somewhat awkward to walk, uncoordinated.

It seemed that the Waldo who had surpassed level thirty was far more formidable. Alanna raised an eyebrow and said, "What are you staring at? We’re still heading to the armory today! If it weren’t for your antics last night, we would’ve left already! If anything goes wrong, you’ll be responsible!"

Waldo patted his chest, making a promise, "Don’t worry, I’ll take full responsibility for both of you!"

Around ten o’clock in the morning, Waldo and his team, along with Chubby and West, set off. This was about an hour later than the time they had planned the previous night. To be cautious and avoid any unexpected danger, Waldo decided to delay their departure by an hour.

The powerful engine of the armored vehicle roared as it took to the road, heading towards the armory. The area they were heading to in the Western District was undeveloped and rarely visited by survivors.

On the way, the deafening roar of the armored vehicle attracted numerous zombies wandering on the roadside. Zombies rushed towards them, seemingly oblivious to their own safety.

However, compared to the iron beast that was the armored vehicle, their bodies were incredibly fragile. They were easily crushed by the vehicle, reduced to mere debris.

Waldo calmly drove the armored vehicle, unflinching in the face of the sporadic charging zombies. The vehicle’s violent momentum bulldozed through them.

With a thunderous rumble, the armored vehicle roared down the road like a wild beast, accelerating towards their destination.

Inside the vehicle, Waldo reminded them, "This time, you need to be extra careful yourselves. I might not be able to watch over everything. It’s an unexplored and dangerous area, so you must be cautious to avoid any accidents."

Both women nodded, understanding the importance of being cautious in an unfamiliar and dangerous location.

Waldo had initially thought about giving Helen a rocket launcher, but considering the limited number of rockets, it wouldn’t be very effective. After all, he didn’t have an unlimited supply of rockets.

Suddenly, an idea struck him, and he checked the accumulated survival points he had.

15 points.

He used them all to obtain the platinum-level unlimited supplies.

"Congratulations, you have obtained unlimited 85mm rockets!"

Waldo was momentarily stunned. He had just been thinking about rockets, and now they were actually in his possession. It seemed like an incredible coincidence.

Excited, he immediately handed the rocket launcher and a hundred rockets to Helen. He wanted her to have the rocket launcher. It was a powerful tool and would certainly be put to good use.

After Helen had taken the rocket launcher and rockets, Waldo reminded her about their ammunition. He assured them that they shouldn’t worry about conserving ammo and that he had plenty to spare.

Both Alanna and Helen looked at him skeptically. It was hard to believe such an assertion.

However, when they thought back, they couldn’t recall ever running out of ammunition.

"Is that true? Where did you get so much ammo?" Alanna asked with a hint of doubt in her voice.

Helen also gazed at him, curious about the answer.

Waldo smiled and replied, "I said I have an unlimited ammo storage. Do you believe me?"

He said it half seriously and half jokingly. He knew it sounded unbelievable, but he had to tease them a bit.

Surprisingly, both women nodded in agreement.

Waldo had always been a bit mysterious, so it wasn’t entirely impossible that he had an unlimited supply of ammunition.

An hour later, beneath a small hill in the Western District, a roar echoed through the air. It was the sound of a formidable armored vehicle.

The armored vehicle came to a stop halfway up the hill, and Waldo’s group disembarked. They reached a vantage point where they could overlook the entire hill.

Waldo unfolded the map and meticulously identified their location. "According to the markings on the map, the armory should be around here. Let’s split up and search for any signs of its presence."

Quickly, the group dispersed and began their search.

Armories, being critical locations, were typically well-hidden. Especially the entrance, which would be camouflaged to make it difficult to find.

Before long, Chubby seemed to have made a discovery. It roared excitedly.

Waldo and the others quickly rushed over.

They found Chubby near a steep cliff, acting agitated and restless.

"What’s going on? Is Chubby in heat?" Waldo jokingly remarked.

Helen shot him a look of disapproval before contacting Chubby herself. After a brief exchange with the creature, she understood its excitement.

Apparently, Chubby had sensed something off about the cliff. Helen shared Chubby’s findings with the group.

Chubby had detected an anomaly in the cliff. Although it wasn’t certain what exactly was wrong, it seemed like there was more to it than met the eye.

"Something’s wrong?" Waldo stepped forward to inspect.

Helen, Alanna, and West followed him closely.

The three of them examined the cliff closely.

Alanna suddenly pointed out, "Look here, there’s a small crack! It’s nearly impossible to notice unless you look carefully."

"And here, above and below, there are four cracks in total," she continued, "It resembles a door."
