This upgrade was truly astonishing. It exceeded not only the expectations of Alanna and Helen but also far surpassed Waldo’s own expectations.

The teleportation distance had increased directly from thirty meters to one hundred meters. This meant that his strength had likely risen by several levels. This improvement was enormous, a seventy-meter increase in one go!

"Yeah, I thought it would be at most fifty meters!" Alanna commented.

"That’s right. I find it hard to believe," Helen added.

"By the way, do you guys want to guess if the next upgrade might allow me to teleport a whole kilometer?" Alanna suddenly asked.

Waldo shook his head. "It’s not clear yet. It might not necessarily increase by a factor of ten, but it’s certainly possible. It’s hard to say for sure."

However, in order to upgrade from a Level 2 ability to a Level 3 ability, more Evolution Points and therefore more Source Stones would be needed. Thus, they would have to upgrade their abilities in Invisibility and Fire Control before they could continue upgrading the Teleportation ability.

"Speaking of which, Waldo, how many Evolution Points do we need to upgrade from Level 2 to Level 3?" Helen asked after some thought.

Waldo sighed. "It takes 100 Evolution Points to reach Level 3."

Alanna and Helen both gasped in amazement. "That’s so much!"

Indeed, this number was astonishingly high.

Therefore, the three of them quickly sat down to discuss their next steps. In order to gain more experience points and Source Stones, Waldo suggested, "For now, it seems that the most efficient way to gain experience points and Evolution Points is to continue with our current method. Perhaps this is the only way to get enough experience points and Evolution Points quickly."

Both Alanna and Helen nodded in agreement. They had killed as many zombies in half a day as they had in the previous two or three days. This method was proving to be very efficient.

Soon, they were ready to proceed with their next action.

One afternoon, on a pedestrian street in the West District, many zombies were wandering around. Most of these zombies were still quite young and physically strong.

Suddenly, a figure appeared on a high building beside the street. Waldo narrowed his eyes as he observed the scene below. It was clear that the zombies were evolving rapidly, with a significant increase in the proportion of Level 2 zombies.

Waldo thought to himself, "Half a month ago, Level 2 zombies were almost non-existent. Four days ago, their proportion was less than ten percent. And now, it has risen to one-fifth. The speed of zombie evolution is accelerating."

Waldo furrowed his brow.

As for why things had turned out this way, he couldn’t quite figure it out. He decided not to dwell on it for now. The priority was to find a way to gain more experience points and Source Stones.

While contemplating this, Waldo retrieved two hand grenades and threw them down.

Boom!

Boom!

Two deafening explosions shook the ground. On the pedestrian street below, three or four zombies were thrown into disarray by the sudden grenades. One or two zombies were even blown to pieces.

Roar!

Roar!

Roar!

Waldo’s actions had completely enraged all the zombies, including the Level 3 zombie that dominated the pedestrian street. Countless angry zombies roared and lunged at Waldo.

"Heh heh, come after me if you dare!" Waldo laughed heartily.

Unhurriedly, he returned to the ground, released the tank, and the colossal beast rumbled forward with astonishing noise. Hundreds and thousands of zombies followed behind him, just like last time.

Waldo drove the tank through several blocks, using the tank’s immense noise to attract the zombies. During this time, he periodically fired shells, making the Level 3 zombies, which already possessed some intelligence and had a certain fear of tanks, furious. They joined the horde of zombies pursuing Waldo.

Before long, Waldo had drawn three Level 3 zombies, along with thousands of regular zombies and Level 2 zombies. Without much delay, he arrived at his destination.

"Fire!" Waldo quickly informed Alanna and Helen.

Moments later, rocket after rocket streaked through the sky like meteors, raining down like a dense shower, covering a large area with explosive fire. In an instant, the entire area was blanketed by the artillery barrage, reducing countless zombies to pieces.

Half an hour later, the vast majority of zombies had been eliminated. Only a small number of zombies had survived. However, shortly thereafter, including the three Level 3 zombies, all the surviving zombies were systematically eliminated by Waldo.

"In terms of gains, it’s about the same as last time," Waldo and the others counted their spoils and found they had gained over 7,000 experience points.

The next day, outside a shopping mall, a tank appeared out of thin air. No one knew how this behemoth had suddenly materialized in this location.

Inside the mall, many zombies roamed, their movements sluggish. Among the zombies inside, the proportion of tall Level 2 zombies was higher than anywhere Waldo had seen before, reaching a quarter of the total. Furthermore, to Waldo’s surprise, within the mall, there were not one but two Level 3 zombies!

"So what?" Waldo sneered. "They’re all my prey."

He then controlled the tank and aimed it directly at the shopping mall, firing a shot.

Boom!

In an instant, the entire building trembled.

"Hahaha, come and chase me!" Waldo laughed as he drove the tank away.

Soon, the mall echoed with loud roars. Two massive figures leaped down from one of the floors. These two Level 3 zombies, one male and one female, were wearing heavily damaged clothing, which oddly resembled a couple’s attire. It turned out that these two zombies had been in a romantic relationship, and now, they were both heading in Waldo’s direction.

Two days later, Waldo’s tank appeared outside a residential complex.

Boom!

The tank fired a shot directly at one of the residential houses.

Instantly, the entire complex erupted into chaos. Countless Level 2 zombies roared and rushed out. They moved at incredibly fast speeds, like ferocious beasts, capable of overturning and tearing apart most cars.

However, Waldo drove the tank swiftly, maintaining a distance that was neither too close nor too far.

Three days later, Waldo arrived at a school.

He fired a shot.

On the fifth day, in the following days, Waldo used this tactic almost without fail. His experience points and evolution points accumulated to a terrifying amount in the next week.
