Apocalypse - Infinite Resource System
Chapter 351: Instantaneous annihilation
"Damn outsider, you’re too audacious!" shouted the ninth elder loudly.
Soon, the nine of them surrounded Waldo, their eyes showing murderous intent.
However, Waldo remained composed and nonchalant. "Are you the elders of the third base? It seems like you’re nothing special. Your strength is nothing to boast about! Red Sun level experts? Less formidable than I imagined!"
Waldo spoke dismissively, seemingly not placing these nine strongest elders of the third base in high regard.
Their attitude was extremely arrogant.
At his words, the eyes of the nine elders narrowed.
In an instant, their killing intent was exposed.
If Waldo’s identity weren’t unique, and if they didn’t want to obtain information from him, they probably would have attacked already.
"We’re talking to you!" the first elder said in a deep voice, dangerous glints shimmering in his eyes.
Simultaneously, he moved swiftly, approaching Waldo at an incredible speed, seemingly attempting to subdue Waldo in that moment.
However, Waldo didn’t even flinch; he chuckled nonchalantly.
"Trying to capture me? You’re not even worth it with your kind of trash!"
"If this is your level of strength, then I declare, from now on, the third base belongs to me!"
Waldo’s words were grating to the ears of the elders and the other giants, dripping with disdain.
To them, this surface human was utterly arrogant, showing complete disregard for others.
Either he was overly confident or outright seeking death.
"Seeking death!"
"He’s shameless!"
The elders shouted in anger.
The first elder’s murderous intent became even more apparent.
He lunged towards Waldo’s head with his large hands.
Waldo didn’t evade at all.
Bang!
Waldo’s figure was instantly shattered.
"No, this wasn’t the real person! It was just an illusion! Where was he?"
In the moment when Waldo’s figure exploded, the first elder’s face changed suddenly!
And at this moment, he suddenly heard the exclamation of the other elders.
"Not good, be careful!"
"Watch out, it’s an ambush!"
"He’s behind you!"
The first elder was stunned, his eyes widening abruptly!
He suddenly felt a searing heat in his chest.
He looked down and saw a long spear piercing through his chest, blood gushing out in abundance!
"This... this can’t be!"
The first elder’s eyes widened, his mechanical eye suddenly rotating and emitting a red glow.
He roared angrily, turning around, and a massive palm slammed towards Waldo’s head.
If it hit, even a piece of steel would likely deform instantly.
He didn’t die from that?
Surprise flashed across Waldo’s face, but he soon looked disdainful.
"Is that all? Destruction!"
In an instant, endless flames engulfed the first elder.
The unimaginable high temperature instantly melted all the metallic parts on his body.
Amidst the screams, the first elder was almost turned into charcoal in an instant.
"Too weak!"
Waldo shook his head, somewhat disappointed.
These so-called Red Sun level elders had actual strength comparable to those city lords in the top 100 of the global power rankings. Even if their numbers were increased by a hundredfold, they still wouldn’t stand a chance against me!
The sight of Waldo easily killing the first elder left the other elders and the numerous underground giants watching from a distance in shock.
The first elder was actually dead!
Dead at the hands of a human who was less than a quarter of their height!
Moreover, he was killed in a very short amount of time!
This scene dealt a heavy blow to them.
"I thought with the first elder’s strength and a decisive attack, he could instantly deal with this surface dweller. I didn’t expect..."
"I was foolish just now..."
"Uh-oh, this underground human’s strength far exceeds our expectations!"
"This surface human is quite peculiar!"
"He’s incredibly strong..."
The remaining elders’ faces changed slightly.
Then they exchanged glances.
"Kill!"
"Fight him with everything you’ve got!"
"Kill, kill, kill!"
The elders shouted and charged towards him.
Waldo’s expression slightly hardened as he prepared to deal with their attacks.
Although their strengths didn’t seem very formidable, he still needed to take them seriously to avoid being caught off guard by any special abilities they might possess.
He wanted to prevent any unexpected setbacks.
However, what happened next left Waldo somewhat bewildered.
When the eight elders erupted with an unprecedented determination, seemingly ready for a desperate battle, they unexpectedly, and without any prior agreement, fled towards the base at the fastest speed possible. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Each one faster than the other.
These underground giant elders were truly beyond belief!
Waldo was somewhat bemused.
Afterward, he let out a cold chuckle.
"Leave them to me!"
As he spoke, his entire demeanor underwent a sudden change.
It was like a vast sea, surging and mighty.
Or like towering mountains, profound and heavy.
A palpable force pervaded the surroundings, causing a noticeable slowdown in the actions of the eight elders.
With a determined stride, Waldo advanced, pushing his palm forward.
The energy in the surroundings surged and condensed into a giant hand, slapping towards the eight individuals.
"What’s going on?!"
"This can’t be! How is this outsider so powerful? Hurry, hurry, hurry, escape! We’re no match for him!"
The eight elders felt the immense energy coalescing behind them, and their faces changed drastically.
Their speed increased suddenly as they rushed towards the base.
However, they were still a step too slow and got hit by Waldo’s palm.
Splat!
Splat!
Several of them spat out blood on the spot.
Even those in better condition turned pale, staggering and on the verge of collapse.
"Launch missiles, intercept him!"
A senior elder quickly realized and immediately issued orders to the giant warriors inside the base.
Subsequently, the eight elders accelerated their pace towards the base.
However, at that moment, the seventh elder suddenly screamed in agony.
"Ah! Help me!"
The seventh elder’s voice was filled with misery.
Everyone couldn’t help but look back, and their scalps went numb.
Unbeknownst to them, the surface dweller had appeared behind the seventh elder at some point.
The spear in his hand directly pierced through the seventh elder’s head.
However, the seventh elder didn’t die instantly.
He fell to the ground, screaming in pain.
"No saving him."
That was the thought in everyone’s mind.
Then they noticed Waldo, wearing a cold smile.
Instantly, the remaining individuals felt their scalps tingle, feeling as if they had plunged into an icy abyss.
"What devilry is this? How is he so fast!"
Fear raced through their hearts.
The strength displayed by this surface-dwelling human exceeded their expectations by far.
They had originally assumed that this human’s strength, at best, was just at the Red Sun level.
They thought they could all attack together and capture him alive effortlessly, how wrong they were.
This human was too peculiar.
Escape, escape, escape!
Don’t fight him!
The remaining individuals were petrified, with only one thought in their minds.
Escape!
Head towards the base at the fastest speed possible!
Fortunately, the base wasn’t too far from here, and they could return quickly. Moreover, the giants inside the base had also reacted.
"Launch missiles, attempt to stop Waldo!"
"Ah! Another elder was engulfed in flames, with a lot of metal being burned and melted. Subsequently, the whole person turned into charcoal!
So far, in the Third Base, a total of three elders had died!
"Damn it! Wait for it, outsider. We will make you pay! This is a deep-seated vendetta; we won’t rest until we avenge! You can’t escape. Don’t even think about leaving our underwater world!"
The remaining six elders were livid!
Fortunately, at this moment, missiles continued to launch from the base. These missiles were precision-guided and could hit the target accurately.
"Not a single one of you will escape!"
Waldo sneered, intending to intercept all these elders and then take them down in the chaos.
However, suddenly, he felt a slight tingling on his skin.
Over a dozen missiles shot out from the base.
Waldo’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"Are these missiles developed by the subterranean giants?"
Boom!
These missiles arrived in an instant, covering Waldo from all sides.
In the deafening roar, an explosion of fire engulfed the entire area.
Is he dead?
One of the elders hesitated, looking back.
"He’s probably not dead that easily. Maybe this person from the surface world has some other means. It’s better to be safe. Let’s go back," another elder reminded.
"He was hit by the missiles, and this is probably his weakest moment. I think we should seize this opportunity and take him down," said the first elder to speak, flames burning in his eyes.
However, just at this moment, his words came to an abrupt halt!
Originally, Waldo suddenly appeared in front of him, and the spear pierced through his body in an instant.
"What did you just say? Take me down? But you’re dead. How are you going to take me down?!" Waldo said with a sly smile.
Boom!
The giant elder’s body exploded instantly, turning into a mist of blood, and died on the spot.
"Run! Run!"
At that moment, the remaining elders were infuriated, their souls almost escaping. They didn’t dare to hesitate or linger, using their fastest speed in their lives to escape towards the base.
Fortunately, they weren’t far from the base.
Moreover, the surface-dwelling human behind them was once again intercepted by a missile.
Soon, the remaining five elders safely arrived at the Third Base.
"Damn it! Accursed surface-dwelling human, you will pay a heavy price for what you’ve done today! At that time, not only you, but even the surface world you are in, will suffer!"
"Hmph, do you think the subterranean giants are easy to mess with? What you’ve seen is just the tip of the iceberg. Wait until you see the full view of the underwater world, I hope you can maintain your arrogance today!"
"Just wait! Before long, you will regret what you’ve done now!"
The faces of the elders twisted in hatred, wishing to kill Waldo.
Spitting out venomous words, they entered the base one after another.
However, at this moment, the fourth elder suddenly screamed in agony.
The others’ faces changed, and they turned to look at the fourth elder, who was the last to enter the base.
A spear had pierced through his chest.
Moreover, the injured area was engulfed in flames, burning the entire person.
