Apocalypse Online: Regression of SSS-Class Summoner
Chapter 106: Transferring the Gaming Pod
While Enzo was mesmerized scrutinizing his car, Max was chatting with Sebastian.
He immediately told him his intention, "I have a gaming pod at my apartment and I’m planning to transfer it to my newly bought villa. But I don’t think the cars I bought could fit it in.
Can you transport it?"
"Certainly, Sir." Sebastian smiled.
It was not within their authority to assist Max on transporting his gaming pod.
But Max was their wealthiest client they ever had. Perhaps, in the future, he’d be interested in the more expensive super cars, so they definitely didn’t want to leave a bad impression... again.
Max was satisfied. "I’ll need it now."
Sebastian bowed deeply and left, entering the car dealership to search for their truck driver.
Max walked towards Enzo and the latter hurried him to finally pick up Auntie Sarah.
He said, "We’ll have to pick up my gaming pod first before going home."
Enzo was startled awake.
He nodded. "Alright."
Not soon later, Sebastian returned.
He politely said, "It’s ready outside, Sir."
Max nodded.
He smiled at Enzo, who was also smiling ear to ear at him and entered the Veloce.
He closed the door and activated the car.
There was no engine roar compared to his super car, but it was definitely majestic to watch its beam radiating a white light, like a beast waking up.
Max smiled.
He hoped Enzo has a lot of friends at school and invited them to adventure. He didn’t want to see his younger brother stressed out because of studying hard anymore, he wanted him to enjoy his youth.
He swore to protect the smile he’s been forming after his surprises.
Now that Enzo slowly moved the Veloce, Max glanced at Sebastian who bowed.
"I will be accompanying the driver to inform him. Please lead the way, Sir."
Max nodded and proceeded to his super car, turning it on with an engine roar.
Max first left the garage before Enzo and saw a truck parked at the street in front of the car dealership.
He waited until Sebastian entered the passenger seat and first drove to the apartment.
The truck followed while Enzo was behind them.
It took them twenty minutes to reach the apartment.
Max personally opened the gate, allowing the truck to enter.
When Sebastian saw the apartment building, he was dumbfounded.
It was truly a modest apartment building—those who stayed should only earn half a thousand CAD per month.
He glanced at Max in the side mirror, who had just entered his supercar and followed them.
He thought. This guy truly struck a lottery, huh?
That was what he thought, but he wasn’t aware that Max’s huge earning wasn’t accumulated for a single moment like lottery victory.
Sebastian briefed the driver of the truck, and the latter listened carefully, not being carefree at all.
When Max left his supercar, they hastily jumped down from the truck and met with him.
Max nodded at them and led them to his apartment unit.
Sebastian and the truck driver were speechless at the condition of the apartment unit.
But they didn’t show their expressions and immediately distracted themselves to stare at the gaming pod.
That was then they formulated speculations in their mind.
This must be the reason he earned a lot of money.
It wasn’t difficult to believe that Max could earn a lot of money from gaming. There had been many famous gamers who became a millionaire after gaining fame.
They imprinted Max’s face in their minds and wouldn’t hesitate to investigate his main source of income.
It was simply out of curiosity.
They didn’t question Max as they proceeded to place the gaming pod on its box first before carrying it to the truck.
Once they were finished, Max led them to the villa he had bought.
When they arrived, Sebastian and the truck driver were dumbstruck.
The contrast between their previous place and their newly bought house was enormous.
It was like placing a rock and a diamond as a juxtaposition.
After momentarily stunned, they immediately put into work, carrying the gaming bod on the villa.
They were only allowed to put the gaming pod at the living room in the ground floor, as Max decided that he and Enzo would be the one to carry it on his room.
Afterwards, Sebastian and the truck driver bid farewell.
Max and Enzo carried the gaming pod to the second floor.
They met with Auntie Sarah who heard the commotion.
Auntie Sarah wanted to help, but they were already near Max’s room.
When they were finished, they gathered around Max’s lounge inside his primary main suite and chatted.
Auntie Sarah wanted to prepare a tea, but Max stopped her since they were about to have a dinner anyway.
Half an hour later, the three of them proceeded to the garage.
Auntie Sarah sat on the Veloce’s passenger seat, while Max drove his own supercar.
Before he entered the Vanguard Horizon 6, he said, "Cassie, please lock the house. We’ll be back later."
"Understand. I’ll be looking after the house."
When Enzo heard it, he was dumbfounded.
Auntie Sarah giggled at his reaction and said, "It’s normal for this kind of house to have a smart home assistant."
Enzo nodded. "Mhm. Truly convenient."
They then followed Max leaving from the garage’s door until the restaurant.
Their dinner was sumptuous that caused Enzo to be worried.
However, since his elder brother concealed his aching wallet after they paid, he was a bit carefree and trying to get used to it.
When they drove back to the villa, Enzo asked Auntie Sarah, "Are you interested in playing the game, Auntie Sarah?"
Auntie Sarah shook her head. "You know that I don’t have time for that."
Enzo replied, "To be honest, I’ve researched a lot about that game and all I can say is that it’s very mysterious. Do you know that its origin is unknown, not even its developer?
The game itself far surpassed any games that has been released prior to its release.
The only reason I’m interested in playing the game now is not because I was convinced by my brother but how curious I am about it and its purpose."
Auntie Sarah instantly replied, "So, you’re abandoning your studies now?"
Enzo was silent for a while.
He replied, "Not until I graduated..."
