Avoiding Death in an Otome Game
Chapter 29 -- : Class A
Kai’s POV:-
Waking up early in the morning, after getting ready in my uniform, I headed towards the canteen of the male’s dormitory for breakfast.
Ian will still take some time so I also packed his share, we can eat in the dormitory room.
Both the male and female dormitories have their separate canteens.
Though not big and luxurious like the academy’s cafeteria, but still good enough for the students.
After finishing the breakfast, both Ian and I headed to our class.
We are both in class ’A -1’.
Class ’A’ has less students than the class ’B’ and ’C’, and all the students in this class can be called elites of this year.
Before going directly to the classroom, I couldn’t help but look around the corridor.
The first-year teaching building was already bustling with activity despite the early hour.
Students from different classes could be seen walking through the hallways, some carrying books while others chatted with their friends.
On reaching the classroom I saw something completely out of my expectations.
Three girls standing together outside the class ’A’ and seem to be waiting for someone.
The three girls are Elena, Lily and Hina.
"Good morning"
I greeted them without showing any of my true feelings but I am really confused on why Elena and Lily are together with the heroine.
The heroine’s complexion seems paler than yesterday, like she hasn’t got enough sleep.
"What are you doing outside?"
I asked them as I looked toward the classroom.
There are already some students there so I wonder why the girls are not going in. There was no apparent reason to remain outside.
"We are waiting for lady Luna"
Elena answered my question.
"You should go in the class lady Elena, it might take some time for Luna to arrive"
Hina suggest.
"No problem, we can wait"
"But it will not be good to crowd around outside the class, teachers might get angry"
"Oh okay"
Elena consented to Hina’s reasoning.
We entered the class and saw some familiar and unfamiliar faces. There were a few students already presented in the class and most of them are those living in the dormitory.
There were also some who are from commoner backgrounds, of course their families are rich enough to afford the fees and influential enough to get the admission.
Some of them also come from families of rich magicians and high standing knights.
Compared to my previous life’s schools, the academy students looks considerably more mature.
Then again, many of them had already received years of private tutoring before enrolling. And physically, almost everyone is stronger than average high schooler which gives them more mature vibes.
"Didn’t expect that you and lady Hina would become friends so quickly"
I tried to get the information by asking a Elena the question, it’s important to know what caused this changed situation.
"Actually she’s my roommate"
Elena threw an unexpected answer.
Roommate?
The heroine and the villainess of the game are now roommates? What a turn of events.
I don’t know what to feel about this. We are already far from the original plot so I don’t think it should be of any concern.
Although I am the one who caused all of this but the matter is already out of my hands anyway.
I don’t think it will be cause any trouble..... Probably.
By the way the seating arrangement is like this; the seats for boys are on the left and the girls are on the right, so Elena and I went to our separate seats.
All four of us took the seats in the second row, neither the front row nor the back.
The front seat on our side by default belongs to the freshman representative prince Lucian.
Though Elena should be in the front seat of the girl’s side by ranking, she decided not to.
Well there’s really an ’X’ factor this year.
*step**step*
With audible footsteps, three girls entered the class.
Well speaking of the devil.
The one in the middle is the red haired princess Kajol and the other two are the same girls who were with her yesterday.
One of the two girls, took the initiative to lead the way for the princess to the first row.
"I heard those two are the twin daughters of the foreign affair minister. The one leading the way is Lisa and the other one is Tina"
Ian who was on my left, whispered.
*From where are you getting this information dude?*
I didn’t voice out my question, but really this dude is a walking surveillance device.
One after another, all the students entered the class, which also included the heroine Hina and the others.
Hina is being led by her friend Luna, directly to the same row as Elena and Lily.
Four students can sit in one row on each side, which means a total of eight students in a single row.
The classroom itself was larger than I expected. Rows of seats were arranged in a wide semi-circular formation facing the front of the room.
Large windows along one side of the room allowed sunlight to stream inside.
[Author: that’s the best I could think of. Just imagine any university classroom but with less seats and a wider teaching area]
Just coming after Hina and Luna, are the prince Lucian along with Ray who went to the first row on the left side.
All the boys including me, greeted Lucian, he is both a royalty and also the class representative.
Two other students sitting besides me and Ian in our row are unfamiliar faces.
They don’t seem to be from noble families.
But I know the other student sitting beside Ray in the first row. Tudor, the eldest son of the law minister, another minor npc of the game.
*step*step*
Not long after all the students, the teacher arrived.
A female teacher in her mid twenties with cold expression and mid length black hair.
Riza Curtis, magic theory teacher, and also one of my suspects....
