Finally after the end of this summer the time for the first event of the game is about to arrive.

The tenth birthday party of the main capture target, second prince Lucian Ripon.

In the Royal Family it’s a custom to hold a grand party on the tenth birthday of a prince and princess to make it their debut in the noble society.

The invitation has already arrived and we are preparing to leave two days later.

We will be staying at the mansion of my uncle, honorary Count Simuka Cama.

He is my mother’s younger brother and the head of the information department in the Royal capital.

Now back to the present, we are enjoying tea in our garden while Mother was reminding me what to pack for the trip.

Mother brought the topic of orphanages, now that I remember the incident occurred a few months ago when we caught the director of an orphanage who was trying to sell a female child as a slave.

My body almost went numb when I heard about that.

Although I was born a noble in this life, I always think that what if I was not this fortunate? What if I had reincarnated as a commoner or even an orphan?

This new management was established last month and after finishing all the necessary work, Mother is finally free to tag along on the trip.

It is a person in all black, with a black mask covering his face, like a ninja.

He seems to be like a messenger or an assassin, but the question is why is he monitoring us?

Then I noticed more people like him running behind the trees stealthily.

I turned my head and was surprised as I saw my mother holding her magic staff, she is holding it in an angle in which it is not visible from outside the carriage.

She is already using magic!

Mother must have noticed those people before I did, after all she is a grand mage and her vision is already at the level of senses.

A small almost invisible figure released from the staff and swiftly went out of the carriage, gliding close to the ground.

It is completely composed of the wind element and the only reason I was able to see it is because of my ’Wind Vision’.

The figure reached one of the men in black and turned into a humanoid figure made out of wind.

Clasping both its hands in front, it created a hurricane which encircled the suspicious man.

"Huh!"

The man’s subordinates let out surprised voices as they attacked the humanoid figure.

But their attacks just passed through it since it was made up of wind.

That was ’Wind Doll’, Mother’s magic core ability.

Magic core is something that sometimes can be found in strong monsters or magic beasts after their death.

Humans and few other intelligent species can absorb these magic cores to gain the monster’s ability.

Of course it has huge limitations.

First of all a normal magic user can only absorb a single magic core in his whole life unless it advances to the level of a grand mage.

After reaching the grand mage level it can absorb a second magic core.

Then there’s also the highest and very rarely seen ’Sage’ level, after reaching which the person can absorb their third magic core.

Three magic cores is the highest limitation as no being can absorb more than that, and Sage is the highest level a magic user can ever reach.

Both my parents are Grand Mages with two magic cores, and this was one of Mother’s two magic core abilities.

"Knights! Capture him!"

Mother ordered the knights while using magic to bring the guy stuck in the hurricane towards our carriage.

The man’s subordinates who saw all this, ran away in agitation.

The knights captured the man as soon as the hurricane disappeared.

They knocked out and bound the man and threw him in the servant’s carriage.

Normally we would send the captive to Cerulean city but there’s no need.

We have a perfect person who knows how to extract information from criminals in the capital.

After that there was no trouble in the trip as we safely reached the Cama family’s mansion in the capital.

There my uncle Simuka welcomed us with his wife Laya, son Ian and daughter Chloe.

Ian is around the same age as me, and Chloe is four years younger than us.

In the game, Ian was a minor npc who sometimes gives helpful information to the heroine.

He has black hair and brown eyes just like his father, by his appearance one may think that he is from adventure’s family instead of a noble.

"Hurry up and get fresh, we need to go in the city!"

"Ian! They have just come, let Kai rest first"

Aunt laya chides Ian for his impatience.

"What’s the hurry for?"

I couldn’t help but ask the reason for his impatience.

"There is a circus show in the city! I heard that their performances are the best in the kingdom!"

Circus?

I have heard of them but never watched one live. And especially in this magical world.
