Back to the 1980s: Becoming the Villain's Lucky Wife
Chapter 190: What Do You Think of Him?
The man was certainly honest, saying whatever was on his mind. He even mentioned that he planned to keep doing business after he got rich.
Overhearing this, Qin Jiao suddenly remembered who Sun Jianhua was.
She didn’t actually know him, but she’d once seen a reporter interviewing him on television. By that point, he had already become a fruit tycoon.
According to the story, he had failed in business three times, and his wife had even left him over it. But he still hadn’t given up on the idea of starting his own company.
He was a man who could endure great hardship. What was especially rare was that he had never been involved in any romantic scandals. When the reporter interviewed him, he still wasn’t married. The reporter joked, "Boss Sun, you’re only forty. You could get remarried. Why don’t we run a personal ad for you right here on the show?"
At the time, Sun Jianhua had just smiled, shaken his head, and refused.
He had said, "Let’s not do that. Looking for a wife at this point... the motives are never that pure."
The reporter looked embarrassed.
After all, Sun Jianhua was already a famous fruit tycoon in North City. At just over forty and that wealthy, there were bound to be scores of young women in their twenties throwing themselves at him.
’What Qin Jiao hadn’t expected was that the butterfly effect of her rebirth would actually lead to him and her aunt, Qin Na, getting together.’
’Fate truly works in mysterious ways.’
’The man himself seemed fine, but according to Sun Jianhua’s story from her past life, he still had to fail in business twice more. Would her aunt have to suffer along with him?’
Qin Jiao and Jin Lan Hua walked in together. Qin Jiao said, "Uncle Sun, my parents are planning to start a business too—a restaurant. Since you’re all entrepreneurs, you can exchange notes in the future. Oh, right, and you can get some pointers from Aunt Jin."
Sun Jianhua knew that Qin Na had a very beautiful and capable niece. Whenever Qin Na mentioned her niece, Qin Jiao, her eyes would fill with admiration.
Even his highly critical cousin, Jin Lan Hua, was full of praise whenever she mentioned the girl, Qin Jiao.
Jin Lan Hua had even said that when the girl grew up, if she went into business, she’d probably become a big boss!
Sun Jianhua looked at the young girl and said, "You must be Xiao Jiao. Your aunt is always telling me about you. She says you’re a great student and really impressive."
Qin Jiao offered a faint smile. "My aunt is just exaggerating," she said. "But business is no simple matter. Even though my parents have worked for others for many years and have been under a few bosses, they still need to be cautious about starting their own."
Sun Jianhua nodded. "That’s right. So, you’re planning to open a restaurant? That’s a great idea. I’m still set on getting into the fruit and vegetable trade, which is connected to restaurants. Maybe we can work together in the future."
Qin Zhonghui thought that sounded good, too.
Having found some common ground, he began telling Sun Jianhua about his experiences from his years working elsewhere.
After they chatted for a while, the food was ready, and the adults and children all ate dinner together. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Overall, the meeting was a great success. Both sides were very pleased. Even Sun Jianhua’s usually taciturn son, just before leaving, uncharacteristically asked Su Yun, "Auntie, can I come over to play again sometime?"
"Of course you can! When you come, Auntie will make you some delicious food."
Xiao Shi chimed in, "It’s winter, so there’s not as much to do for fun. But when it gets warmer, I’ll have my dad take us to the river to catch fish with our hands and into the mountains to hunt wild pheasants. My dad’s beggar’s chicken and grilled fish are delicious!"
The little boy was clearly full, but his mouth was watering just from listening.
He nodded emphatically. "Okay! You can’t lie to me!"
"We won’t!"
Qin Jiao felt sorry for the boy as well. Sun Jianhua was busy working elsewhere most of the time, and his son was practically a left-behind child.
Little Fatty, who had been listening in, was also getting excited. He even said he wasn’t going home that night, and in the end, Jin Lan Hua had to drag him away by the ear.
Both boys were reluctant to leave, though.
After Sun Jianhua, Jin Lan Hua, and the others left, Qin Na blushed as she asked her brother and sister-in-law, "So... what did you two think of Jianhua?"
