Cheng Su returned home from school, and Mother Cheng was pacing back and forth in the living room trying to put Xiao Qi to sleep. Seeing her return, she immediately pulled her aside to talk.

Cheng Su first kissed the top of her son’s head and couldn’t help but ask, "What’s going on?"

"Your husband is back."

"Really?" Cheng Su was delighted. "Where is he?"

As soon as she sat down, Qi Taiguo hugged her, resting his head on her shoulder.

Time passed slowly, and after a while, Qi Taiguo calmed down, kissed her face, and forced a smile.

Qi Taiguo turned his head to wipe his eyes.

Seeing this, Cheng Su stopped questioning him and just pulled the blanket open, saying, "Your eyes are all dark. How about getting some sleep?"

Qi Taiguo nodded compliantly, lay down, and closed his eyes.

Cheng Su pulled the blanket over him and gently patted his hand, "Sleep, I’m here with you."

However, her mind was full of questions; what happened with this mission?

After some scattered thoughts, Cheng Su saw he seemed to be asleep, so she stood up. Just as she was about to leave, she felt her hand being grabbed.

Looking back, Qi Taiguo had already opened his eyes, gazing at her intently, leaving Cheng Su with no choice but to sit back down.

"Susu, you are real, you will never betray me, right?" Qi Taiguo asked hoarsely, speaking his first words since they reunited.

Cheng Su was taken aback, then smiled and said, "Of course. As long as you never betray me, I will naturally stay loyal to you."

Qi Taiguo breathed a sigh of relief, showing a look of comfort.

Cheng Su felt a bit suspicious, wondering if someone in this mission betrayed him, stabbing him in the back?

"Do you know when Sister-in-law Gao and her son left?" Qi Taiguo asked again.
