Chapter 583: Chapter 416: Electronic Lifeforms

The ferocious mechanical monsters, without any hesitation, rushed near the robotic platform and immediately activated various destruction modes.

The entire robotic platform was torn into countless fragments by them, scattered on the ground, indicating their past existence.

"Tsk tsk, we haven’t obtained any valuable intelligence from the fourth and fifth layers, and yet we’ve already lost nearly a hundred Tier Four Transformers.

Grey Wolf, send in the micro insect probes directly to find out what treasures are inside that can attract the little bears.

Once we find out and determine the location, we can decide on the next move."

Entering the fifth underground level directly is obviously not feasible.

After all, even on the current fourth layer of the Steel Maze, the Tier Nine mechanical monsters haven’t started moving yet.

With a dozen of these things in the relatively small fourth layer of the maze, trying to pass through their territory would undoubtedly incite a major battle.

Now, knowing there’s some danger within the underground Steel Maze, Mo Qingchen isn’t willing to let his Guardian Beasts take such risks.

In truth, the only ones in his possession capable of defeating these Tier Nine mechanical monsters are the Chaos Divine Beast post-fusion, Edward, and Kasi.

The underground maze was constructed by aliens, and it’s part of an Interstellar Civilization, so one can imagine the caliber of their technology.

Even though the Chaos Divine Beast is tremendously powerful, capable of reaching an Epic King-level upon eruption, its essence remains that of a Digimon, a special electronic life form generated from countless virtual data.

The unique magnetic fields within the underground maze can even implant viruses in Transformers, making it clear this involves data intrusion. Who knows if it would affect the foundational database of the Chaos Divine Beast.

Mo Qingchen is unwilling to take that kind of risk.

As for Edward and Kasi, they are essentially Soul Bodies, albeit extremely unique ones.

However, the red fog covering the globe can cause any living creature to mutate; it’s uncertain if it could affect them.

Furthermore, the fourth layer is not very large, considered quite confined. Engaging in battles here would massively restrict Edward and Kasi.

Trying to break through this layer’s defense in a short time seems impossible, and unforeseen circumstances may arise.

Most importantly, Grey Wolf has confirmed that this underground Steel Maze is still operating normally, and the enemy can still control those mechanical monsters within the maze.

This implies that there must be some secret hidden on the fifth lower level, perhaps even surviving aliens!

"Boss, hold on a moment; this almighty king will release all the micro probes from the spacecraft now."

Without hesitation, Grey Wolf commenced the operation immediately.

A large number of insect-type probes flew out from the hatch opened beneath the spacecraft, swarming into the blasted passage.

These insect probes zipped through the opened passageway to the bottom at lightning speed.

On the Spacecraft, countless screens appeared, though they were processed so that only useful feeds were presented to Mo Qingchen and his team.

In just over ten minutes, a swarm of insect probes descended to the fourth underground layer.

Upon arrival, some of the probes spread out, starting to survey the fourth layer of the Steel Maze.

Tier Nine mechanical monsters appeared on the screen projection one after another.

These mechanical monsters were all colossal, at least twenty meters tall, their bodies entwined with metal and circuitry, their appearances grotesquely monstrous and dreadfully sinister.

Nonetheless, from their exterior, it was evident these mechanical monsters were modified Exotic Beasts.

Notably, among them was a most familiar deformed dwarf mech known to Mo Qingchen and his crew, albeit magnified dozens of times over.

Presently, a dozen different kinds of mechanical monsters were all in a slumbering state, appearing cold as metallic machines without a trace of life.

"These collected mechanical monsters likely resulted from external mutated Exotic Beasts, transformed after the red fog descended."

Seeing one that resembled a wild boar magnified over a dozen times, Mo Qingchen would have thought it was a real mutated boar, if not for its full metallic shell with rust stains.

Unless you added some faux skin, it might be impossible to tell it was a modified mechanical monster.

"Boss, these mechanical monsters are all in hibernation. Apart from the Energy Core within them having energy flow, the entire body is in silence, with no energy circulating."

Grey Wolf manipulated some insect robots, which crawled into the mechanical bodies through the metal crevices, gathering various data.

"It seems the enemy can’t detect the intrusion of the insect robots, which is good news."

Nodding, Mo Qingchen glanced at another screen, where the footage from the insect robots venturing into the fifth level was displayed.

However, compared to the previous four levels, some snowy static appeared on this footage.

"The fifth level has a very strong interference field, affecting the transmission of the insect probes’ images."

Despite the unclear images, and occasional static, many things were still visible.

The entire fifth level was a massive research lab, with various instruments within, most still operational, emitting a faint glow.

"Grey Wolf, search for the database and see if you can infiltrate, and also keep an eye out for any surviving aliens."

[Civilization’s Wound] this Secret Realm, is a relic of an Interstellar-level alien civilization.

Having reached the status of an Interstellar Civilization, is it truly impossible for some aliens to survive?

As for the aliens on the planet, even if their race abandoned them, not everyone would be dead; who knows if someone is hiding in the shadows, watching everything.

"Boss, no living organisms detected, but a few still operational robots were found, with their energy levels ranging between Tier One and Tier Three."

The insect probes spread throughout the entire fifth-level laboratory in a short time; even the buried pipelines had probes present.

"Try to use the insect probes to take over these robots, see if their control can be acquired."

Clearly, these functioning robots were leftover from the aliens.

"Infiltration is underway, but it requires some time. Additionally, the database has been located and is being infiltrated, though the firewall is remarkably strong."

Grey Wolf watched the rapidly scrolling data on the screen, a strange gleam in his wolf eyes, his brow furrowing.

Mo Qingchen, attuned to everything, instantly noticed Grey Wolf’s unusual reaction.

"Grey Wolf, what’s wrong? Did something occur?"

"Boss, the invaded database is vast, even comparable to the Spacecraft’s database, and I’ve found an unknown signal attempting to breach the Spacecraft’s programming!"

Grey Wolf spoke while flurrying his wolf paws in a blur, frantically tapping the virtual keyboard.

"Be cautious; if it’s insurmountable, disconnect the signal immediately!"

Mo Qingchen didn’t want any trouble, especially concerning the Spacecraft, as it’s one of his trump cards.

If it got commandeered, that would spell disaster.

"Rest assured, Boss, this king is no pushover now! Besides, I have found something exceedingly interesting."

A streak of excitement washed over Grey Wolf’s face.

With his frantic typing on the virtual keyboard, his expression grew increasingly exhilarated.

"Hahaha... these aliens, to survive, have uploaded their consciousness into servers, turning themselves into electronic life forms, haha..."

Grey Wolf watched the data captured by the Spacecraft, laughed heartily, and began analyzing the various data from the opponents.

Cooperating with the Spacecraft’s super-intelligent program, Grey Wolf swiftly captured over a dozen electronic life forms, immediately establishing electronic cages around them, and commenced reading the diverse data within them.
