Beast World Food Stall: Feeding My Cubs and Taming My Beast Husbands
Chapter 123: Since I’m Going to Die, I’m Taking Yu An With Me
"You’re Yu Yun."
Yu An stared at her, her tone certain.
Before Yu Yun could deny it, Lu Lu shot out from the ground beside her. Its vines whipped off her mask and her black robe.
It seemed Yu An had set her up. Yu Yun was furious. She gave a cold smile. "That’s right, it’s me. So what? Yu An, prepare to die!"
At her command, the people who came with her rushed forward and surrounded Yu An, glaring like hungry tigers.
Yu An glanced at them and crossed her arms. "Ganging up on me? Yu Yun, if you have the guts, fight me one-on-one!"
Yu Yun scoffed without a word, waving for her subordinates to attack.
Yu An shook her head. "Since you insist on ganging up, I guess I won’t hold back either."
"Everyone, come out!"
Yu Yun had assumed people were hiding in the room, but when she saw there was nowhere to hide, she breathed a sigh of relief.
But her relief was premature. Yu An’s five Beast Fathers appeared out of thin air and made short work of Yu Yun’s subordinates, taking them down as if they were little chicks.
Yu Yun didn’t know where these five men had come from, but she knew she had to escape—and fast!
Females possessed no combat strength. Facing Yu An and her Beast Husbands, her only path was death.
Shoving a subordinate in front of her to block them, Yu Yun turned and fled.
Her plan was simple: as long as she could get out of this room and reach a crowded area, she would be safe.
But what she hadn’t expected was that the door was locked from the outside!
"Go on, run," Yu An said, strolling over. "Why aren’t you running? Are you waiting for me to catch you?"
Yu Yun couldn’t get the door open. She gritted her teeth and faced Yu An. "Yu An, don’t get cocky. There are patrols outside. All I have to do is shout for help..."
"Don’t you forget, this place is remote."
Yu An cut her off. "Besides, do I look like an idiot? My people have already tied up the patrol."
"So," she said with a smirk, "go on and scream. Scream your lungs out. No one will come to save you!"
Ao Wu frowned and muttered under his breath, "Why is she using the line she flirts with me with here? Is this woman even worthy?"
Yu Yun didn’t hear him. If she had, she would have been half-dead from anger.
Yu An stepped forward, her nonchalant expression turning serious.
"Speak. Why did you try to capture me? And where did those Gu Worms come from!"
’Could Yu Yun also be the one behind the assassins and beast attacks I faced in the exiled land? And the person who gave orders to Han Fengyun?’
"To kill you, of course," Yu Yun said, clenching her fists. "Yu An, let me tell you the truth. The reason your face was disfigured is because a Beast Father poisoned you."
"The Gu Worms were from the Mother Empress. You’re not their child at all. They want you dead, and I am simply helping them with their troubles."
Yu Yun knew she couldn’t escape on her own, so she tried to stall for as much time as possible.
’Once Granny Gu notices I’m not at the manor, she’ll surely realize something is wrong and come rescue me!’
’Yu Yun also knows I’m not the Beast Emperor’s biological child?’
Yu An frowned and feigned outrage. "I don’t believe you! How could I not be the Mother Empress’s daughter? If I’m not, why would she raise me all these years!"
"Besides, Beastmen can identify their own children by their scent. If I wasn’t her child, the Mother Empress would have known immediately."
"So, you’re spouting nonsense!"
Yu An advanced on her, her words sharp. "You’re lying to me. What is your real goal!"
Yu Yun faltered. She had never thought about these details, so for a moment, she was at a loss for words.
Yu An pressed her advantage. "Everything you just said was nonsense, wasn’t it? Yu Yun, for the sake of us being sisters, if you honestly tell me everything you know, I’ll let you live. How about it?"
Granny Gu had her take a medicinal bath every so often to help her properly merge with the Phoenix Bloodline. Today was one of those days.
It wasn’t time for the bath yet, so Yu Yun still needed to stall a little longer.
She pretended to think, waiting until Yu An grew impatient before she said hesitantly, "Fine, I’ll talk. You have to let me go!"
Seeing Yu An nod, she began to recount the schemes she and the Beast Father Cui Su had hatched to secure the position of heir. This included, but was not limited to, poisoning Yu An, framing her for poisoning her own sister, and the assassination attempts in the exiled land... These were all true, so Yu Yun wasn’t afraid of Yu An discovering she was lying.
"I only heard from my Beast Father that you aren’t the Mother Empress’s biological child. He said Aunt Qiuyue brought you here, and we were raised together as twins."
Yu Yun added a timely note of indignation. "I’m clearly the Mother Empress’s real daughter, yet she gave you the best of everything and even wanted to pass the title of Beast Emperor to you."
"I couldn’t accept it, so I acted against you. Only with you dead would the Mother Empress finally turn her attention to me!"
Yu An had been observing Yu Yun the whole time. Seeing only anger on her face and no other emotion, and hearing the stream of words come out without any stuttering, she believed about half of what she said.
’Cui Su probably doesn’t know the truth about my birth either. Since Aunt Qiuyue was the one who brought me, would she know something?’
Just as Yu An was thinking, the door suddenly opened.
Yu Yun looked over joyfully, the name "Granny Gu" slipping out. But when she saw it was Zhou Dayong and the others, her expression changed.
Zhou Dayong ignored her and said anxiously to Yu An, "Miss, someone is heading this way!"
Yu An heard the name "Granny Gu" and silently committed it to memory. The most important thing now was to leave this place.
She first pulled Mo Yan and the others into her space, leaving only Ao Wu out, and then turned to Yu Yun.
Yu Yun shrieked, "What are you doing?! You said you’d let me go!"
"You weren’t being honest," Yu An said coldly. "When you decide to tell me everything you know, I will let you go."
"But for now... get in!"
Before Yu Yun could understand where Yu An was trying to take her, an immense power swelled from within her body.
In an instant, Yu Yun’s eyes turned crimson, and blood trickled from their corners.
Not just her eyes—all seven of her facial orifices began to bleed. In a flash, Yu Yun was a person drenched in blood.
Yu An didn’t know what was happening and subconsciously tried to let go of Yu Yun, but to her horror, she found she couldn’t!
Her hand was as if glued to Yu Yun’s shoulder by something. Her right eyelid twitched frantically, as if foretelling an impending disaster.
Seeing this, Ao Wu was also startled. "What the hell is this? An’an, let go of her, quickly!"
When he learned Yu An couldn’t let go, he rushed over in a panic to pull her away, but he couldn’t separate them no matter how hard he pulled.
Yu Yun felt her entire body swell, like a ball about to explode.
Her instincts screamed that the power inside her was about to make her burst!
’I haven’t lived long enough! I don’t want to die!’
But the power didn’t stop swelling just because she didn’t want to die. At the moment she felt she was about to explode, Yu Yun used all her strength to grab Yu An’s wrist.
’If I’m doomed to die, then I’m taking someone with me!’
Yu An’s heart sank. She instinctively shoved Ao Wu away. Caught off guard, he was pushed to the ground.
Before he could get up, with a loud BANG, a bloody mist exploded before his eyes!
All Ao Wu could see was a field of red.
"An’an!!!"
