Beast World Food Stall: Feeding My Cubs and Taming My Beast Husbands
Chapter 169: Brother and Sister
It was already evening when she brought Mo Yan and the others into her space. The couple spent a long time being intimate, and by the time they woke up again, it was already the next day.
Mo Yan had been exceptionally passionate last night. In the heat of the moment, his serpent tail had uncontrollably manifested, coiling tightly around her.
As a result, just like last time, Yu An didn’t wake up until it was already afternoon.
When Yu An awoke, Mo Yan wasn’t beside her. She pushed herself into a sitting position, and as the blanket slipped away, the marks on her body were left on full display.
She blushed and quickly grabbed an outfit to put on.
Just as she finished dressing, the door opened from the outside, and Mo Yan walked in with a tray of food.
"An’an, you’re awake. Have something to eat."
He placed the food on the bedside table and sat on the edge of the bed, gently straightening Yu An’s messy hair. "Are you hungry? You had a long night."
"What do you think?"
Yu An clutched her stomach. "I’m starving to death!"
’This man is relentless when he gets going. He made me oversleep again, how embarrassing.’
Mo Yan listened patiently to her complaints, then coaxed her to eat.
After just a couple of bites, Yu An remembered something. "How’s my brother? Was he injured?"
She had been so preoccupied with Mo Yan yesterday that she hadn’t even met her brother, Ao Yi, yet.
’Although Ao Yi was her brother, they had never spent any time together and didn’t have much of a bond. He was nowhere near as important to her as Mo Yan.’
"Your brother is fine," Mo Yan said, feeding her another bite. "Ao Wu told him about you. He wanted to see you, but we were... occupied last night, so he didn’t come over."
Yu An thought for a moment. "Then I’ll go see my brother in a little while."
"Oh, right, Mo Yan, have you seen Little Serpent? He transformed! And Han Li’s Zaizai hatched. The Little Golden Egg still hasn’t moved, though. I wonder when it’s going to hatch..."
Once she started, Yu An couldn’t stop, chattering away as she told Mo Yan everything she hadn’t finished saying yesterday.
Mo Yan managed to feed her a bite now and then, chiming in with a word of agreement from time to time.
This was the scene that greeted Ao Wu when he arrived. He knocked on the door. "Ahem, are you two finished chatting?"
"Almost," Yu An said, beckoning him over. "Ao Wu, can you tell me about my brother? I’m supposed to see him in a little while, and I’m a bit nervous."
"What’s there to be nervous about? We’re the ones who should be."
Ao Wu leaned closer and pointed to a faint mark on his face. "See this? My brother hit me."
Yu An was puzzled. "Why would he hit you?"
"He found out yesterday that you and I are together. He hit me in a fit of anger."
He whined pitifully, "An’an, it hurts so much. I need kisses to make the pain go away..."
Yu An was perplexed. "It doesn’t look that serious. He was probably just messing with you."
Ao Wu let out a dry laugh, his voice laced with resentment. "And who do I have to thank for that? Mo Yan! He said the Divine Spring Water could heal wounds. So, to keep you from seeing I was hurt, my brother diluted the Divine Spring Water and forced me to drink several bowls of it!"
"PFFT—"
Yu An burst out laughing, collapsing into Mo Yan’s arms.
Poor Ao Wu looked like the world’s biggest fool. Instead of getting any sympathy, he had just served himself up as comic relief.
Fortunately, he was easy to placate. A few kisses were all it took to cheer him up.
After Yu An finished getting dressed, the three of them went out together.
Ao Yi was speaking with a young Dragon Clan cub—the same one Yu An had rescued from the basement of the cabin in the Mist Forest.
The Dragon Clan cub had woken up that morning, but the other three Zaizai were still unconscious.
It was unclear what trauma he had suffered, but the young Dragon Clan cub was terrified of anyone approaching. He was only less fearful when Ao Yi, Da Hu, and the others were near.
Ao Yi was patiently talking with him, and Da Hu and the other boys were gathered around him as well, trying to help ease his fear.
After talking with the boy for a while and feeding him a little porridge, Ao Yi looked up and saw Yu An walking toward him.
’As for Ao Wu and Mo Yan walking on either side of Yu An... were they there? He didn’t seem to notice anyone next to his little sister.’
Ao Yi subconsciously held his breath, as if afraid of startling Yu An. "Li-Little Sister."
Yu An gave him a warm smile. "Brother."
Both of them were a bit reserved at first, but thankfully, with Ao Wu, Mo Yan, and the Zaizai around, they relaxed after a little while.
After talking for a while, Yu An turned to the Dragon Clan cub who was quietly standing guard over the other three unconscious cubs. "Zaizai, how about I give you a little check-up?"
Da Hu took the young Dragon Clan cub’s hand. "Little brother, this is my Female Mother. She’s not a bad person, okay?"
"I... I know."
The young Dragon Clan cub mustered his courage. "I know you. You’re the one who bandaged my wounds."
The bodies of the Dragon Clan are formidable, so he hadn’t lost consciousness completely at the time. He remembered a pair of warm hands bandaging his wounds and giving him sweet water to drink.
The young Dragon Clan cub had managed to force his eyes open for a glance before he finally succumbed and fell unconscious.
"So you do remember me."
Yu An tentatively patted his small head. "Don’t move. Auntie is going to give you a check-up."
Her Wood Element Ability swept through his body for a full examination, revealing that the cub’s injuries were almost completely healed.
He was just a little weak and needed more nutrients.
The young Dragon Clan cub didn’t have a name, so Ao Yi planned to take him back to the clan to find out which family was missing a child and return him to his parents.
Since he had to return for urgent clan business, and upon learning that they still had to search for Yu An’s other two Beast Husbands along their journey, Ao Yi didn’t insist that Yu An go back with him.
Before leaving, he repeatedly reminded Ao Wu to protect Yu An, saying it so many times that Ao Wu could have recited the lecture by heart.
"Brother, Brother, just go already! I’ll take good care of An’an. Now go, just go..."
’If he didn’t leave soon, his ears were going to start bleeding.’
The saying goes that an eldest brother is like a father. Ao Wu had been a mischievous child, and Ao Yi had disciplined him plenty. Seeing him now, Ao Yi’s hand started to itch.
But in front of Yu An, he didn’t dare to act on it, afraid he would frighten his little sister.
Once they were back on the surface above the Death Abyss, Yu An released Ao Yi and the others from her space. Everyone except Ao Yi had been knocked unconscious upon entering and remained that way until the moment they were let out.
"Brother, I’ll leave them in your hands. A Wu and I are going to head out now."
Ao Yi, holding the cub, waved to her. "Go on, be safe. If Xiao Wu gives you any trouble, you come and tell me. I’ll teach him a lesson."
Yu An agreed with a smile and then left with Ao Wu.
Ao Yi waited until everyone else had woken up. When they asked how they had appeared on the surface of the abyss after just a nap, Ao Yi played dumb, saying he didn’t know either.
"I just woke up and found us up here," Ao Yi said, shaking his head in feigned confusion. "Young Brother Mo Yan woke up around the same time I did. He was in a hurry to find his Female Master, so he left ahead of us."
"I wasn’t in a rush, so I figured I’d wait for all of you to wake up before leaving."
"Oh, so that’s what happened. Hey, Brother Ao, where did you get the cub you’re holding?"
Ao Yi shook his head again. "When I came to, this little fellow was unconscious right here among us. I can see he’s a Dragon Clan cub, so perhaps he got lost."
"I have to return to my clan, so I’ll just take him with me and find his family."
"Oh, I see."
These Beastmen knew of Ao Yi’s status. After they bade their farewells, Ao Yi also set off on his journey back to the clan with the cub.
He was in a hurry to get home. ’Those three impostors pretending to be my brothers and me... hopefully they haven’t become too much of a threat to the clan.’
