"Fine," Yu An agreed without hesitation. "But without the contract, what’s to stop you from hurting me?"

Feng Xuan scoffed. "I wouldn’t stoop to laying a hand on a female."

’Besides, with the Zaizai protecting her, when would he even get the chance?’

Da Hu sat on the bed and listened for a while. He tugged on Han Li’s hem and whispered, "Uncle Han, what’s a contract?"

"A contract is used to protect females. If a female is injured, the damage is shared with her Beast Husband. It’s a method the Beast God uses to make males protect females."

Han Li answered.

Da Hu’s eyes darted around, and he shouted, "Female Mother, don’t bring strange males home. It’s very dangerous."

Feng Xuan’s face darkened. "What do you mean, ’strange male’? I’m your Beast Father, your real Beast Father!"

Da Hu turned his face away. "Only my Female Mother’s Beast Husband is my Beast Father. You’re not."

Feng Xuan told himself, ’He’s my own flesh and blood. Don’t be angry, don’t be angry.’ After taking a long moment to calm down, he conceded, "We won’t dissolve the contract for now. That way, you don’t have to worry about me hurting your Female Mother, alright?"

Da Hu glanced at Yu An before nodding with a wide grin.

By now, dawn was breaking. Yu An decided to head back immediately. "Xiao Yu is still in the Giant Stone Tribe. We need to get back quickly."

"That little fish’s cub?"

Feng Xuan was shocked. He had thought Yu An had given birth to two cubs, but it was actually three!

Across the entire continent, only a handful of people could conceive two Zaizai at once—females with Heavenly Level fertility.

’Three... could it be the legendary... Divine level fertility?!’

"Mhm," Yu An said as she packed up the tent. "Mo Yan, do you remember that time on Yeji Mountain when I asked you to help me find someone?"

"I remember. Who were you looking for?"

They hadn’t finished their conversation last time before they both fell into the cavern.

Mo Yan’s expression flickered at the thought of Yu An exhausting her superpower just to heal his injuries.

"To find the Zaizai’s biological Beast Fathers, of course," Yu An said with a grin. "To ask them for child support. Feng Xuan has paid up, so that leaves one more. Once we leave the exiled land, I’ll have to trouble you to help me find him."

’Leave the exiled land...’

Mo Yan was lost in thought for a moment. He said in a low voice, "My spiritual power is still declining. I’m afraid I can’t leave for the time being."

"I’m not talking about right now. We’ll see after I try to heal you."

He had only taken two steps when a familiar voice suddenly called out from behind him. Xiao Yu whipped his head around to look—

Yu An came running over, panting, and reached out her hands to him. "Xiao Yu, Female Mother is back!"

After being stunned for several seconds, Xiao Yu threw himself into her arms and burst out crying with a loud "WAH!" "Female Mother!"

’Female Mother was finally back. He had waited for so, so long.’

Xiao Yu wasn’t one for talking, but he loved to smile. Every time Yu An looked at him, the little guy would be smiling.

Yu An quickly tried to comfort him, and Da Hu tried to make him laugh from the side. It took a long while to calm him down.

The little guy was still hiccuping and sobbing. It took him a long time to recover. He clutched Yu An’s collar with one hand and held onto Da Hu with the other, choking out broken words. "Female Mother... Brother... will come back..."

’The adults said the Snow Mountain was very dangerous, and that there had been an avalanche. They said his Female Mother and brother probably weren’t coming back.’

Yu An didn’t understand what he meant at first. Only after Xiao Yu managed a few more words did she realize that some goddamn adults had been making cruel remarks in front of him.

Seeing Yu An and the others safe and sound, the crowd was quite surprised.
