Beastworld Bride: My Seven SSS-Rank Alpha Mates
Chapter 108 Hidden Agenda Unfolds
Elara’s POV
Alistair carried himself with polish and grace—completely different from Silas’s commanding presence.
Once Alistair departed, Silas rose and approached me. He scooped me into his lap, his arms circling around me.
"Am I causing you trouble?" he murmured.
"Maybe... a bit."
I ducked my head, fighting to suppress the wicked grin threatening to break free.
What’s the harm in a little rivalry? Calm and predictable gets old fast. I’ll orchestrate the drama, and we can enjoy whatever games unfold... Time’s on our side.
I’ll provide the entertainment. The rest is their problem.
Trouble for me? Hardly.
I could tell Silas was surprised by something—probably discovering that the sweet woman in his arms harbored such a devious, playful streak. My mind clearly worked nothing like any typical girl.
"Want me to dial it back?" Silas whispered.
I gave him an innocent nod, but internally I was already buzzing with excitement.
Perfect. Dr. Pendragon bought it hook, line, and sinker.
As expected, Silas captured my lips immediately. His Sovereign Territory activated, and suddenly we materialized in the bathtub.
My inner voice of reason chimed in. Seriously? Again? You’re going to exhaust yourself completely.
Ridiculous. How could being with Dr. Pendragon ever drain me? The man’s got both the tools and the technique—kisses that melt my brain, fierce exterior but incredibly tender just for me. Honestly, my mission is to completely wear him down.
Different men required different tactics. Some responded to tenderness, others needed patience, some a combination.
But Silas? All he needed was intense, passionate intimacy.
I had just positioned myself over Silas and begun teasing him with my hands when his communication device buzzed.
Silas’s expression turned thunderous. He answered—Liam was calling.
"Dr. Pendragon," Liam’s voice came through. "We received a system notification. It indicates you’ve been... released?"
"Yeah." Silas’s reply was flat. He was livid that his moment with me had been interrupted.
I knew that before arriving here, he’d maintained a distinguished career.
He served as head pharmacist at the Crown Science Academy of the Valerion Empire. He created various specialized formulas—antidotes for severe cosmic radiation, military enhancement compounds, and more.
Rosalind held him in high regard, so he’d also worked at the Crown Elite Infirmary. Following his spirit collapse, he’d been transferred to the Voidferal Feral Territory...
Ancient history now.
He looked so furious about the interruption that I swore he wanted to reach through the device and throttle Liam.
I made a disapproving sound and started to rise, but Silas pulled me back. He set the phone down and allowed Liam to continue his monologue.
"Her Majesty is thrilled to learn of your recovery," Liam went on. "As the first beastman to achieve complete healing within a sanatorium, she hopes you’ll publish research on your treatment process.
"This represents a monumental breakthrough! It could offer hope to elite beastmen throughout the empire suffering from spirit collapse. The fear of collapse could finally be eliminated! This will be recorded in interstellar history. We’re planning a press conference, and we genuinely hope you’ll participate and address the gathering..."
Silas was occupied kissing me—left cheek, right cheek—his eyes blazing with desire as he kept me secured on his lap, refusing to release me.
"Dr. Pendragon," Liam pressed. "Are you paying attention?"
Silas’s tone turned glacial. "Since you all know I’ve recovered, why not simply send someone to retrieve the medical pod I used? Wouldn’t that be more persuasive than hearing me speak?"
His message was crystal clear: He was occupied. Leave him alone.
The only reason he hadn’t exploded already was their previous working relationship. Demanding more? Absolutely not.
After ending the call, he lifted me in his arms and headed toward the bathroom.
I melted into his embrace, my hands already exploring.
"Continue that," Silas warned in a gravelly voice, "and I won’t show restraint."
He wanted to take me again, but remembering how tender I was from the previous night, he restrained himself.
"Can’t keep up?" I asked, knowing precisely how to provoke him. I definitely wanted him.
Silas chuckled, "Baby, that attitude will land you in serious trouble. Who was pleading with me to stop last night?"
I screamed internally. Shut your mouth!
——
On his end, Liam sat stunned. He never anticipated being dismissed so thoroughly. Silas truly had no regard for protocol whatsoever.
An assistant inquired, "Sir, what about the press conference?"
Liam snapped, "Didn’t you hear Dr. Pendragon? Stop standing there. Go to the Voidferal Feral Territory and retrieve that medical pod!"

Elara’s POV
In the bathroom, Silas filled the tub and brought me fresh clothes.
"A dress?" I frowned.
"You don’t like it?"
I shook my head. "It’s not that. I need to go out today. A dress won’t work."
I had packages to deliver, the bounty situation to handle, and those bastards to eliminate permanently.
With everything on my agenda, a dress simply wasn’t practical.
