Becoming The Strongest Using My Would-You-Rather System!
Chapter 135 - Attack
Theo glanced at him for a moment, a grateful smile appearing on his face.
With that, both of them turned to the door.
As they stepped out of the small room, a soft flicker of light flashed behind them.
FWOOSH!
The glow only lasted for a second before vanishing completely.
Alongside it, the four people disappeared from the restaurant.
Silence fell between Theo and Owen for a moment.
Only the soft murmurs from within the stone sphere still echoed out behind them.
Then Owen finally let out a long breath and rolled his shoulders.
"So... what’s the plan?" he asked, turning toward Theo.
Theo tightened his grip around his spear as they slowly approached the front of the restaurant again.
"Your rock mode resists Sound attacks, right?" he asked without looking back.
Owen scratched the back of his head.
"Pretty much, I guess?" he muttered.
Then he frowned slightly.
"Not completely sure about that though."
Theo glanced at him for a moment before nodding slowly.
"’It’ll probably work,’" he said. "’If not... I’ll figure something out.’"
Owen raised his thumb with a large smile.
"Trust you completely, man."
The two carefully stepped past the shattered tables and broken glass scattered across the restaurant floor.
Outside, the faint singing of the sirens still echoed through the flooded streets.
Even hearing it from this distance made Theo’s chest feel strangely lighter.
His expression immediately darkened.
’Dangerous,’ he thought.
He closed his eyes for a moment, only concentrating inside himself.
That’s when a thin, gray mana began to flow through his body, slowly working its way to his head.
’Please...’ he thought, clenching his jaw.
Within seconds, the mana shaped a sort of sphere around his head.
The alluring sound instantly disappeared, completely getting rid of the fog in his mind.
’Yes!’ he thought, nodding once.
"What the fuck, man?!" Owen said beside him.
His hands were wrapped around his ears as he stared at Theo with a frown.
"Why are you redirecting this shit to me?!"
Theo immediately dispersed the gray mana around his head.
The strange pressure in the air instantly returned.
"...Better?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
Owen slowly removed his hands from his ears before glaring at him.
"Yes," he muttered. "Still feel like walking into the streets though."
Theo snorted slightly.
"Good enough then."
Within seconds, the two finally reached the broken entrance of the restaurant.
Theo immediately crouched down beside the fridge and peeked outside.
The massive crowd was still gathered farther down the road.
It had even grown again!
Some stood completely still while staring at the sirens.
Others slowly walked toward them through the shallow water with blank expressions.
The two sirens remained seated on top of the bus stop, gently swinging their tails while singing.
Their beautiful smiles never changed even once.
Some people had even started to climb on top of each other just to get closer to them.
Suddenly, one of the sirens gently stroked a man’s face with a sweet smile before her mouth suddenly split open unnaturally wide.
CRUNCH!
Half the man’s upper body disappeared into her mouth instantly.
Blood splashed across the flooded street as the surrounding civilians continued walking forward like nothing had happened.
"...What the fuck," Owen whispered beside him.
The second siren giggled softly, her beautiful voice still echoing through the district.
Theo pulled his head back, a shiver running down his spine.
He glanced at Owen, whose face had turned to one of utter disgust.
"We try to run past them first," Theo muttered quietly.
Owen nodded slowly, though his expression rapidly shifted between emotions.
"And if they attack or chase us?"
Theo’s eyes narrowed coldly.
"Then we’ll have no choice but to turn around and kill them."
Owen stared at him for a second.
"...Kill them?"
Theo nodded once more.
"I won’t be holding anything back," he said calmly. "We don’t have time for that bullshit anymore."
For a moment, silence filled the restaurant again.
Then Owen’s expression slowly turned serious.
"...Alright," he muttered, stretching his arms and neck.
"I’ll go all out from the start too."
The two nodded at each other.
Then—
BAM!
They kicked the fridge away and dashed outside.
Water soaked them immediately as they stepped into the street.
Theo glanced down, his eyes widening.
’It’s risen even more?!’
’Are they trying to flood the entire city or something?’
The water used to just be a little above his ankles.
Yet now, it had almost risen halfway to his knees!
He shook his head, getting rid of the thought immediately.
’Not important,’ he thought, glancing ahead. ’Focus now.’
A transparent gray sphere appeared around his head, completely getting rid of the sirens’ voices.
At the same time, large chunks of rock shot out of the ground behind him, each clinging to Owen’s body as he gritted his teeth.
The sirens’ heads immediately spun toward them.
For once, their beautiful smiles twisted, revealing large mouths filled with razor-sharp teeth.
Their singing instantly grew louder and more targeted, making the surrounding glass tremble slightly.
The effects were immediate.
Countless civilians slowly turned toward them at once.
Blank eyes locked onto Theo and Owen from every direction.
Even some controlled hunters stepped forward, all kinds of different elements glowing around them.
"What the hell..." Theo muttered, his expression shifting slightly.
Behind him, Owen’s transformation had also finally been completed, revealing the massive rock giant once again.
Theo glanced back at Owen, nodding his head to the left.
The rock giant nodded back.
Within a second—
Both of them shot forward.
Splash! Splash! Splash!
The flooded street turned into utter chaos immediately.
A fireball shot toward Theo from the right.
SWISH!
His spear sliced straight through it as he continued sprinting forward without slowing down.
At the same time, Owen created a thick rock shield on his right arm, shielding several light and ice bolts before they could reach Theo.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
The two continued dashing forward, now finally within seventy yards of the sirens.
Seeing more attacks coming their way, Owen jumped into the air.
He gripped the shield tightly with both hands.
Then—
Slammed it down on his way to the ground.
BOOM!
The street cracked apart violently as several civilians and hunters were blasted backward through the water.
