Chapter 2205 - 2207: Qing Ji Takes Action (Second Update)
In Elder Qing Ji’s eyes, Elder Tiegu was too unambitious. Upon discovering that Feng Jun could restrain the Void True Intent, he didn’t even bother to pretend and immediately retreated. After fleeing for a while, he found Feng Jun hadn’t pursued him, so he looped around for a return.
When he realized Feng Jun had left, he immediately sought contact with the Transpatial Vine to ally against the enemy.
However, the Transpatial Vine was in a somewhat bewildered state after discovering the Jade Spore Skyworm and directly fled.
Tiegu also realized that Feng Jun was likely replenishing his losses—those two beams of light were extraordinarily powerful and certainly consumed a significant amount.
But he thought the fellow had gone to the real plane, and he knew well that in the Void, time passed faster, so he negotiated with Yi Jue to cease hostilities between the two factions.
The excessive part was that his actual intention wasn’t truces—Tiegu was never one to seek peace. He wanted Yi Jue to make a move, depleting her Spiritual Energy, with the ultimate goal of countering and killing.
Yi Jue didn’t respond to him or make moves easily. Seeing this, Tiegu resorted to furious insults at Yi Jue’s True Immortal status. Eventually, he even cursed Qing Ji, just to provoke them into action to drain Spiritual Energy.
These three, despite the standoff, none were willing to expend their Spiritual Energy, simply waiting for Feng Jun to reappear.
Yi Jue and Qing Ji had similar intentions. If Feng Jun were present, they could attack without regard for Spiritual Energy, as they could retreat to replenish any time. However, the current Spiritual Energy couldn’t be used anyhow.
Tiegu roughly guessed their intentions, trying to turn to leave, but Yi Jue blocked his path, ensuring her attack wasn’t fierce, just obstructing his way.
Though the pink halo surrounding Tiegu could protect him, it caused him inability to make Spiritual Energy attacks. If he withdrew his Void True Intent, Yi Jue would immediately strike, leading to another contest of Spiritual Energy expenditure.
Even worse, the Jade Spore Skyworm kept striking at the halo, seemingly not suffering any Spiritual Energy depletion in the Void.
Finally, Tiegu found an opportunity to flee, with Yi Jue in swift pursuit, aided by the Skyworm. The Skyworm could Blink, making Tiegu’s escape quite unsmooth.
Although Yi Jue solemnly reminded Qing Ji not to intervene, just wait peacefully for Feng Jun’s return, fearing if she left, and Feng Jun couldn’t find them, they might truly be marooned in the Void.
Even with Shou Xin present, life wouldn’t be an issue for the moment but definitely not something Yi Jue desired.
Feng Jun regrouped with Qing Ji, sensing and commenting, "Six thousand miles away... interesting, they’re still running in circles."
At this point, Tiegu was truly quite disheveled. His Spiritual Energy had dwindled by another twenty percent, down to less than forty percent. The real concern was that the True Intent inside the Void True Intent Stone continued to deplete—the pink bulb didn’t run without power consumption, did it?
After more than a day of pursuit, he was genuinely on the brink of collapse. The opponents couldn’t see the Void True Intent Stone, yet he knew well that True Intent had already depleted by ten percent, "Yi Jue, you lunatic! Is it that necessary to pursue so relentlessly for merely injuring Wan Qing and you?"
Yi Jue simply ignored him, commanding the Jade Spore Skyworm, persistently forcing Tiegu to change direction. While the opponent couldn’t conveniently use Spiritual Energy, she had no such worry, having replenished her Spiritual Energy completely, yet expending forty percent.
Her Spiritual Energy was initially greater than Tiegu’s, consuming forty percent to establish a significant advantage was entirely reasonable, and her reckless spending made Tiegu speechless, raising some unpleasant suspicions in his mind.
Before long, someone flew over from afar. Seeing the newcomer, Tiegu couldn’t help but cry out inwardly, "Oh no, that little thief is here again!"
However, it was Qing Ji who spoke, her voice solemn, "Fellow Tiegu, we agreed to a decisive battle, yet you keep fleeing, that’s somewhat unreasonable."
Tiegu resolved himself, "Then count yourself in, alright? Want to interfere while pretending otherwise?"
Elder Qing Ji was already decisively partial, hearing his words, she no longer bothered with courtesy, "Then I won’t stand on ceremony, Ice Seal!"
In the Void, general Techniques couldn’t be used, but exceptions existed. Feng Jun’s use of "Condensed Energy into Gang" was one example, others mostly involved Yin Yang-type Techniques, many deduction types were usable, ice-element Magic was usable too.
Yet using such Techniques meant significantly greater Spiritual Energy consumption; upon contact with the pink halo, it was dispelled, but very clearly, the Void True Intent must also deplete somewhat.
Tiegu sneered, "I’ll stand right here not moving, feel free to strike... let’s see if you can make a dent!"
He would never act like "My Void True Intent is limited," maintaining a stance of enticing them to expend Spiritual Energy.
"Then I’ll be forthright!" Yi Jue sneered, the saying "This moment is different from that one" was apt. She was almost certain that Tiegu’s Void True Intent was indeed limited; otherwise, why would he be racking brains to escape?
She raised her horsetail whisk, rolling it over again before being repelled. Yet she disregarded all, whisking again...
Tiegu felt the Void True Intent being worn down bit by bit, somewhat bitter-hearted: Could it be these people truly found a way to replenish Spiritual Energy safely in the Void?
Yi Jue continued attacking until her Spiritual Energy was down to forty percent, then sent an intention to Feng Jun and addressed Elder Qing Ji, "Daoist friend Qing Ji, could you help keep an eye on him for me? I have a small matter to attend to."
The next moment, her horsetail whisk wrapped around Feng Jun’s waist, and the two together with the worm disappeared without a trace.
Elder Tiegu looked at Elder Qing Ji and sighed softly, "Daoist friend Qing Ji, we’ve had a friendship for a thousand years. I’ve already explained, Wan Qing was truly accidentally harmed; do you really intend to put me to death?"
"I don’t want to," Elder Qing Ji said, spreading his hands and speaking casually, "but the Jinwu Disciples do not tolerate offense. When you realized Wan Qing was among Feng Jun’s companions and attacked anyway, the outcome was sealed."
"I just wanted to force him to let go," Tiegu said softly, his face showing significant grievance, "as long as he’s willing to let go, I would never trouble him... Is it really worth it for a mere Small Golden Core from the lower realm?"
"No one can force a Jinwu Disciple to change their choices," Elder Qing Ji replied proudly, "Wan Qing’s perseverance in his beliefs is commendable. When I return, I will apply to the Sect Leader for more resources for Wan Qing... But as for you, what right do you have to threaten him?"
"How is that considered a threat? He was merely unlucky," Tiegu replied dismissively. These conversations were just a test, and he had almost discovered the results, "Yi Jue left... to replenish her Spiritual Energy?"
Elder Qing Ji laughed upon hearing this, "I am quite curious, who gave you the courage to still dare circle around and inquire about news at this moment? If I were you, I’d be more concerned about my fate."
"Do you intend to stop me?" Tiegu asked in a deep voice, "You must understand, you are not Yi Jue, and you don’t have the Jade Spore Skyworm by your side. I don’t want to kill you... you’d better step aside!"
"Kill me? You can try!" Qing Ji sneered coldly, raising her hand with another spell, "Ice Seal!" 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
This time the Ice Seal failed again, but Elder Tiegu’s expression changed once more, "Your Spiritual Energy is also full?"
"Maybe not, feel free to try to escape," Elder Qing Ji spoke without expression, "try it, it might be worth it!"
Tiegu said nothing more, turning around and shooting away like lightning, while Elder Qing Ji pursued closely behind.
After pursuing to a certain point, she suddenly sped up, intercepted in front of Elder Tiegu, and with a shake of her hand, unleashed a punch, "Halt!"
Elder Tiegu raised his hand and firmly received the punch, the Void True Intent in his hand forcing Elder Qing Ji to fly backward, although his body was also thrown back.
Then he laughed loudly, his voice unusually relaxed, "Haha, you’re afraid I’d escape, and the Feng surnamed thief would never find you and become lost in the Void, is that it?"
"You might have misunderstood this," a voice sounded behind him, "I’m already here; is your eyesight really that poor?"
As Elder Tiegu turned slightly to look, he was truly enraged, seeing someone standing fifty miles away in a ghostly manner; who else could it be but Feng Jun? Unable to bear it any longer, he activated his Divine Sense, striking viciously toward the opponent.
Due to the pink glow all over, limiting him from freely using Spiritual Energy, the only means of attack was the Divine Sense, and he didn’t believe his Divine Sense couldn’t crush a mere Second Layer Golden Core.
If it had only been Feng Jun, Tiegu might have still considered capturing him and using Soul Search to learn the secrets of transversing the Void, hoping to seize the chance to escape and gain more opportunities, but with Qing Ji watching, he just wanted to kill quickly!
However, this attack seemed to disappear like a mud ox into the sea, without any reaction, without the sensation of hitting, nor any response, as if Feng Jun, standing there, was just an illusion.
Feng Jun was, of course, not an illusion. After delivering Yi Jue to the Big Stone, he quickly returned, fearing that True Immortal Qing Ji might lose track of him in pursuit, even though the Big Boss could lock onto auras within tens of thousands of miles, he surely couldn’t outfly a Nascent Soul Peak.
"Divine Sense ambush," Feng Jun chuckled softly, speaking disdainfully, "Elder Tiegu, and this is all you’re capable of?"
"A mere illusion, dare to play tricks," Elder Tiegu sneered coldly, his body swayed, raising a hand to punch.
Feng Jun opened his mouth, and a beam of white light shot out, "Ha!"
As fast as could be, a succession of arcs of lightning blinked, leaving Elder Tiegu momentarily stunned, "This is... real?"
At this moment, True Immortal Qing Ji shot over like lightning, punching out, "Bullying the weak, shameless!"
This punch essentially had no effect, at most depleting some of Tiegu’s Void True Intent, but it was enough. After coming back to his senses, Tiegu turned and continued to flee wildly.
He still had some Spiritual Energy, but he really didn’t dare to expend it indiscriminately.
True Immortal Qing Ji rushed over, grabbed Feng Jun, and continued to pursue closely.
With Feng Jun at her side, she was utterly unconcerned about galloping within the Void. It must be said, this feeling was genuinely delightful.
